Lino Prints and bright hair colours.

So today was my day at university where I have two different modules in one day, busy but fun. The first one is the creative skills one, with this one we got to see the previous years sketch books as well as more advanced sketch books. After we had done this we had a short break and then roughly an hour until our lunch time so I did some photo shop work changing the colours of my hair. My main theme for the project is masks but I also want to incorporate the use of bright colours as well as possibly the use of black and white.  I'd love my hair this colour! It's like a cherry pinky red colour!  Not so sure about this colour but it did the job!  I also quite like this colour for the photo but there is no way that I would ever do it that colour!   Then it was lunch time and Charmaine and I went for lunch at McDonalds. McChicken Sandwich what more can I say, love that stuff! Then we went to Hobby Craft I needed to pick up some things for this a...

Catch up Part Two

Tuesday I had my second lecture it was based on colour but the interesting thing was it wasn't just how other colours effect each other but it was optical illusions. We had to think about how things like shapes, tones and shadows will effect how colours look. I found it really interesting and I think that I will have to think more about how I use colour in photography but also which colours I chose to use. That afternoon I didn't have any lectures so went out with my mum to get some ideas on how I can make my own masquerade mask and I also bought some things for that, but more on that another time!  Wednesday was a more eventful day again I was only in in the morning but it was a longer session. We were looking at portrait work and drawing ourselves. We got given four sheets of A2 paper, and got told that we had to draw one quarter of our face at a time. The catch was we couldn't look at the other quarters while we were doing it. Each one was an individual drawing. We ...

First Lecture and workshop

So today is the first day that I am actually coming on my computer to do my post the past few nights I've been loading blogger up on my phone and then typing my post on that then going straight to sleep. So I haven't actually been reading any body elses blog. Well that changed today I caught up on what everybody has been up to.  This morning I had my first actual workshop for my second Module. I was looking forward to it but at the same time as it's more a fine art module I was nervous about the drawing that we had to do but I really like the work that we had to do. We started off in our studio space and then we had to do 8 drawings marking the journey that we were going on. It could be anything from rubbings, marking, views out of the windows or people walking around. It could also be done in any material that we wanted to so I used a combinations of pens and a HB pencil. It was really fun and at the end I got some great feedback and also got told that lots of the thi...

soft play centre and Module two

Today has been another good but long day, with my student loan now being in my bank account I decided that I would have a McDonald's breakfast because I haven't had one in ages so I got up to do that this morning. Then at lunch time my mum and I were meeting up with my nephew and sister to go to a soft play centre, we had our fair share of fun and running all over the place, it was really good.  This afternoon I had my first lesson on my second module, a module that looks at different styles of art work, this module has more drawing in it than the other one that we have been given so far. Part of me really likes this but I'm also slightly apprehensive about it as well as there is quite a lot of work to do with drawing the human body something that I'm not very good at but we will soon see how it goes.  Until next time  A Girl With A Dream
