The way to heaven is on horseback

Today has been a quiet day for me to just take things easy. I woke up feeling quite tired and aching for some reason but didn't think anything of it. Jack came to keep me company for the day and it turns out it's a good job that he did because my dad and mum both ended up out all day so I would have been in the house all day on my own. While he was here we watched some films and we both decided we think that I am coming down with something as I felt really cold but he said that I felt really warm. She'd been getting head aches for a while and had gone to see her doctor who told her that she needed to go to the hospital straight away because she might lose the sight in her eye.  My mum also ended up in the hospital but for a completely different reason. Today has been another good but long day, with my student loan now being in my bank account I decided that I would have a McDonald's breakfast because I haven't had one in ages so I got up to do that this morning. Then at lunch time my mum and I were meeting up with my nephew and sister to go to a soft play centre, we had our fair share of fun and running all over the place, it was really good.  This afternoon I had my first lesson on my second module, a module that looks at different styles of art work, this module has more drawing in it than the other one that we have been given so far. Part of me really likes this but I'm also slightly apprehensive about it as well as there is quite a lot of work to do with drawing the human body something that I'm not very good at but we will soon see how it goes.  Until next time  A Girl With A Dream 

Today has been a long day,  this morning I picked up Spencer and Michael and we went to a Uni leaving kind of meeting.  It was nice to have one last get together before we all go our own seperate ways. It was a nice morning but a long morning to.  This evening my sister came around with Mick and Brody. To start with he seemed quite shy but then he was bouncing all over the place! He was so much fun and such great energy but he was also so tiring! I loved being able to spend time with him though it's something that I haven't been able to do for a while! I also was able to have a really nice chat with my sister.  This evening I went to the first youth group evening of the year and had a one on one chat with an old friend. A lot's happened between that two of us over the past few months. Today has been another day where I haven't done a lot but feel completely knackered. This morning I went up to the stables, it was windy and wet but we still had a really good time. It sounds odd but I love mucking out stables I find it therapeutic and relaxing. It didn't even bother me that it was cold and raining.  When I had finished there I helped my mum and uncle do the super market shopping. After that I went to visit my sister, nephew and her partner. It was nice because I haven't seen her in a while and Brody was really nice and loving. He was active and so funny, he was running all over the place keeping us all busy. First of all I would like to say that my thoughts are with all the people that are being affected by wild fires, it's a hard time and I can't imagine how scary it must be but my thoughts are with you and I hope you can return to your homes soon!  Today I went out with Brody, My Sister and Mick to the zoo. I always love going there and I haven't been there since they have changed everything and moved all the animals around. I loved it, and the weather stayed nice for everything. My two favourite animals were inside so I didn't get to see them but  I liked seeing all the different animals, all the types of monkeys, the baby Gorilla. They were all so cute. My favourites are the two leopards, (that were not out), and my second favourites are the Elephants I used to love the giraffes to and was disappointed to see that they no longer had giraffes and that the camels were in there place! Today has been a really long and tiring day with its fair share of arguments. When I woke up this morning I knew that I wasn't going to be at school because I had two essays that needed writing foe English. The down side of a weekend away is the fact that when I come back I have so much work to catch up on. It took me all day today write my essays. This morning my sister came around and it was sods law that my nan decided that it was today that she wanted to sleep in. So my sister asked if she could come back this evening my mum said yes. Well tonight my sister let everyone see how much she is not dealing with about my nan being ill. As she lost her temper one minute she was crying the next she was angry. To be honest I don't think that she nows how she is feeling.  At the same time as she did last night my nan decided that she wanted to start getting out of bed and that she needed to go home (which is exactly where she is). Well today's post may end up as a bit of a rant about art. So nothing to do with horses will be in this post. so if you don't want to read it I completely understand that.  Today it has been confirmed that I am no longer doing my art a level course. Unfortunately the issue has not been able to he resolved and to carry on doing the course would stress me out to much and in turn would cause me to be ill. I can't go in to the situation completely because it is being looked into by my school so until that is done I am not really able to talk about it. While I agree that dropping my art is for the best it annoys me that I've spent a year working damn hard on an A Level that with 3 weeks til the end I am not going to be able to finish. It's basically letting my art teacher win but I'm just too tired to keep fighting with him.  This afternoon my sister came over for tea. Well today has been a long day because I didn't get much sleep last night, but this morning I woke up to go and help my mum do the food shopping, and with it being Easter it was like going to a football match inside the supermarket! Normally when we pay it takes 5ish minutes to be able to start putting the food on the rail this time it took 15-20 minutes. Then when we got back, I played on a game on facebook and went out to do some jobs with my mum, including washing the car.  This evening I am babysitting for my nephew and am then going to be stopping for the night, as it was my sisters birthday yesterday, her boyfriend asked if I would babysit so that he could take her out for a meal. So they picked me up at five and then this evening when we got back we played some games, and ate pizza, lots of pizza, as well as breadsticks and celebrations! Today was my big sisters birthday, so it meant that she came over for tea in the evening, this also meant that I got to see my favourite little fella in the entire world! I Love my little nephew, I say little but he is growing really quickly at the moment. This morning I didn't have an art lesson, so washed my hair and dried it but left the majority of it looking natural, I planned to straighten it later (but I never got round to it), then I went in for textiles and English. Now for some reason I thought my laptop was fully charged so wasn't too happy to walk in to Textiles and turn my laptop on to find that it was on reserve power, so I couldn't do the work that I planned to do but then in English I got loads done. Okay so this is a little bit late but I have been wanting to do it since the new year, with the new year been and gone I decided that it was time to give my blog a new look. I've spent so long looking for a blogger template that I really liked and I couldn't find any until I stumbled across this one by accident and I decided that I really liked it. I think the thing that I liked the most about this template is that I could put a slider in, so I chose four of the pictures I have of Gatsby and make them in to a slider, so all you need to do to look at them is click the green arrow that it shows. Let me know what you guys think. Also it means that my slider can change depending on the time of the year and that kind of the thing making my blog a bit more seasonal! I think the only thing that I would change would be that this is a three column template not a tow column template, does anyone know if there is a way to decrease the amount of columns from three down to two?   So f...

I found the ball dress, as most of you will know (if you read my post yesterday) I had seen a dress that I really liked on pinterest and when I followed the link I was gutted to find out that it was on an American site so even if I ordered it from america there is NO guarantee that it would get her (the UK) in time. So last night I started looking on the internet, after my sister had left, for a dress that was similar to the one that I'd seen online I'd seen a few that were similar but the problem was that they all had a drop waist which is really not suitable for my body shape. Today I emailed them to my mum and she agreed that none of them were 'the one' so during my textiles lesson I went back online to look for that one dress I'd looked at so many different dresses and none of them were that close to the one I'd seen there were some that were similar but nothing that close, I was scrolling through the internet page and a dress caught my eye. hi y'all well there's been no riding today unfortunately not sure when there next will be but hopefully there will be some soon as I am missing it like mad!  okay so today's thing that's got me thinking is... the horses Rhythm. Now to most people this doesn't sound that important but to us horse people it is a key thing when riding, whether when doing flat work or when Jumping.When Jumping it is Important to keep an even rhythm because it helps to set the horse up for the jump that is about to do and it doesn't make the jump appear to be sloppy. Also because if your horse keeps speeding up and then slowing down, it makes the horse unbalanced, which gives you more risk of knocking a pole down or of slipping out of canter (if that is the pace that you are in).  Another thing that I would like to mention is riding a straight line in a dressage test. hey y'all. sorry its taken me so long to reply I have been meaning to do it for days, and kept thinking 'I need to update'. Then I look at my laptop and think what was it that I needed to do. Well here I am back again with new things to tell you all.  First of all is my riding lesson that I went to on Tuesday, I rode a 17/18hh horse that looks like a brown shire horse, and he is called Jerry, He was at my old riding school called 'Parkside' in Alfreton.
