41. Baby steps = a huge improvement

We did it and today Magic and I had a great breakthrough.  I did magic this morning, and gave him some fuss while making sure that he had got a really big bed as the weather is still very unpredictable at the moment. While I did this my mum gave him a brush and made him look all pretty,  I hate it when he looks scruffy lol my ocd comes in to play and I just have to make him look the best that I know that I can do. I can't wait to be able to give him a proper bath and see him all gleaming and sparkling. I know he won't stay like that but it will look good at the time. Then I did a few jobs out and about before coming home. I'd got some post when I had got in and it was my assessment for fitness to work at the moment, I found it so hard to fill in because my illness varies from day to day so I couldn't give them a simple yes or no answer. It took my all afternoon to fill it in and by the time that it was done i was so glad. I then spoke to the person that was supposed t...

Money Evaluation and Equine Show Wish List

So for a while I've been wanting to do a post that is more for me than anyone else. This post is about the money I spend on riding and also things that I will need in the future.  Every year I spend £1080 on riding lessons (one lesson every week of the year). I then also do Pony Club on a Monday night a year's worth of Pony Club (one meeting a week, every week of the year) would be £520. So thats £1600, this doesn't include any of the own a pony day's or extra activities that I do. I am so lucky to have a family that supports my riding life style and definitely think that it is more a life style than a Hobby.  Now on to things that I would like or need in my riding future. The first thing on the list is a new riding Hat that I can then use for competition, I've decided that I would like a black velvet one, as blacks the colour that I prefer. When looking on the internet I found two that I like. The first one is a Gatehouse Hickstead Velvet Riding Hat this c...

My Dream Barn

So the other day I saw someone who did a post like this and thought why not, I might as well do one, even if I can't afford it I can still day dream, right?  My dream barn would be open and spacious, I love the wood look and how natural it appears to be but can also look really fancy/sophisticated. I also like the idea of the stables being in a U shape with doors and windows facing inwards so all the horses can see each other. I love the stable image above, I love how lit up they are the wooden look to them and the way the stable doors are. I'd also like it so that some of the stables had runs going out the back so that the horse could choose whether to be inside or outside. I also really like how the bottom of the stable walls are a stone wall.  If the stalls were inside I'd love them to look like this, I again love the wood look but I also really like how open everything is. I like how everyone can see everything and how it has the chance for the horses...
