What a day?

Not got much to say today, due to the fact that unfortunately I'm ill AGAIN. I thought that i'd still post even if it wasn't the most interesting post.  So today i've had a fairly quiet today, the sun was shining and I wish that I had got the energy to go and sit in the sun but unfortunately I just didn't feel like doing it. I woke up this morning feeling sick, being sick, and being really tired. So my dad and Jack took the dogs for a walk with me, while my mum came around to try and help me sort out BT (I think that she eventually got there). I attempted to cook breakfast all though it ended up being bacon and sausage sandwiches rather than a full english breakfast like I'd planned to do for Jack.  This afternoon we went out today the jobs that we had got to do, which included paying livery for Bella and Arthur and checking on them. Although it took them a while to decide they wanted to come down from the top of the hill and stop lying in the sun, they...

41. kicking my arse in to gear.

Hi Everyone,  Well it's been a while since I wrote on here, I keep meaning to get back in to blogging but it just doesn't happen, the most annoying part is that everyday I think about blogging, and that I need to write something and then something comes along. So what's been going on? Well, life has been quite hectic at the moment, things haven't been the best the past couple of weeks, but they are starting to kind of look up.  So I'll start with Magic, Magic is doing great! He's finally back out with the herd and he is loving every single moment of it. He goes out first thing in the morning and then some days I will bring him in early at anywhere between 1 and 2 and then other days he will stay out with the rest until between 3 and 4. I feel that he still needs to come in early so that he realises that he can come in on his own and that it's nothing to be stressed or worried about. He still gets walked in hand by my mum when she does him in the mor...

8. New year, new start?

Every year it gets to the new year and people go it's a 'fresh start' or it's a 'new me' however personally I don't always think this is true, so that's why this year I haven't said that all I have said it's time to improve myself. Last year and to be honest the year before have not been good years for me, but I'm not going to let that hold me back anymore!  So on to my news, Magic is doing really well. He actually managed to go out in the field for a small amount of time today, still not with others, but he was out in a field being a normal horse. The vets came to see him on friday and said that he's looking great! They were really happy with his progress, he's now completely off all of his medication and while he's really to be on minimal turnout for at least the next two weeks it's a step in the right direction. We've got to do lots of walking in hand, lots of just in hand things bascially. He's now also been b...

77. Back to regular blogging.

Magic really does make me laugh, he's been doing things that are funny for the past few days. This morning when I went up to do his stable he was no where to be seen, so I did all the inside of his stable, got his feed ready for tonight, and still magic was no where to be seen. The next thing that I know I was doing his Haynets and I had just watched Lynn call all the horses and seen them come running up. I was in the middle of filling the Haynets when all I heard was 'oi what are you doing' so I shouted back to Jack to ask him what was up as all he was supposed to be doing was putting his Haynets in the stable, and as I had come out the area where the haylage is stored I looked to the left and stood there was magic playing with the feed bucket. Jack thought that he had escaped and then Lynn told me that she had let magic come up. So I grabbed hold of his head collar and walked him up to the stable so that I could carry on with filling the Haynets but after that I really co...

76. Inspired and motivated

Well it has been a few days since I've had time to post on here life has been hectic but I haven't really been doing anything so because I didn't want to come repetitive I chose not to post anything until I'd got something interesting to tell you all. However I changed my mind tonight after seeing some lovely comments from one of y my followers. I always love peoples comments but this one particular blogger and her awesome horse chrome have really inspired me over the time that I have been reading her blog and her lovely comments inspired me to write a post tonight. Nothing has been really different here, magic is loving being at his new yard, he's starting to get a really good bond with the yard owner and she says that she really likes him it's hard to believe that since he has been at his new home for over four weeks now. He's loving being g out with the herd and it really has made a massive improvement in his temperament and also how he reacts with his ...

63. Horrible weather but lots of time with my midnight magic

Yesterday was a long day and I just completely forgot to get around to posting it so I'll post this now because even though it's 5.48am, I'm lying in bed wide awake but God knows why. Within about 30 minutes of waking up jack and I were up and about and ready to go out and do the jobs that we need doing. One of the main good points about Magics new yard is that he goes out with the rest of the herd.  And part of the deal that was made with loan was that she'll put him out and bring him back in so that he never really goes out on his own, seen as he normally goes out at about 9.30 am it means that i don't really see him in the morning and I get a bit of a lie in. But the first job that I do when we go out is go up to the yard and muck his stable out so that he has a nice warm bed for when he gets in. I'll also sort his feed out for the next two feeds but I will only add water to the one that he'll have that night. Kisses from the pony face. This morning ...

62. Major catch up time!

Well I think that I am on the right day of the year but a combination of major tooth ache and just being in quite a lot of pain/sleepy means that my brain really isn't with it today. But here's my catch up for all you lovely readers. Oh and I might even share some super cute photographs with you guys too, but you'll just have to carry on reading to see.  23rd February - Jack passed his driving test, I'd been nervous and on edge all day but knew that he'd be able to do it! He tried coming back and doing the whole 'I failed' then telling me the truth scenario, but I ran up to the car and caught him off guard so he had no choice but to admit to me that he had passed! That night we went out for a drive and to see a few friends that we hadn't really seen since I had lost my licence.  24th February - Today was a HORRIBLE day, the first part of it was okay we were just chilling with Jack's older brother Josh, we'd gone to see Magic (who always ...

52. A long stressful but rewarding day.

I didn't do Magic this morning, as I will openly admit that I went way over the top yesterday with how much I did so this morning I woke up in agony, and really uncomfortable. So i asked mum if she minded and she said no, so a big thank you to my mum. Then at about 10.30 I got a lovely text off Lynn asking when I was next going to be up at the yard and what I was doing and would Magic like to go out so. Of course I jumped at the chance to do this but I was also a little bit apprehensive about the situation. Mainly because I had researched in to it and had seen what could go wrong and I'd spoken to Fiona about what I could be but all the horses really did manage to surprise me. Magic was a little bit nervous but for the past three or four days, he's been in-between Stan and Murphy's Law (Murph) who are basically the two ring leaders. When I got there I was surprised to see the others out in the field but Murph was still stood up at the top almost like he was waiting for...

50. Massive improvements oh and happy nine months.

Today there has been massive improvements on my little boy, I'm so proud of him and the accomplishments that he has made. Magic's not a perfect pony but he certainly is trying his hardest at the minute. As you'll all know from my post yesterday he DID send me to A&E but that was due to the treatment that he received at his old yard. Since moving Magic has been able to trot and walk in hand, in the trot he does get a little bit excited. Play the three parelli games that he has learnt so far, be polite when picking his feet up and is getting better with his food.  Playing the friendly game with magic while he eats his food, my aim was to jsut get him used to people being around him, so far he is reacting really well to this game.  This morning I bought Magic out of his stable and he had absolutely trashed it, it was a complete and utter mess. Which is nothing new for him, he'd got a hay net up that Lynn had put up for him as I was feeling poorly so overslept th...

48. DAY Three

Well things with Magic are slowly improving, my mum did him this morning ad I was just in to much pain to be able to do it. I spent the day resting and to be honest, Jack and I spent the majority of the day, just chilling out watching TV and sleeping on and off. Then when jack woke up for his driving lesson I went up to sort the pony and I'll be honest magic and I had a little bit of a debate. I tied him up in the stable for a change and decided that I was going to brush him in there, I thought that this might help with the whole feeding issue.  I then put him outside while I cleared up his stable. Then it was feeding time and to be honest I was dreading it, after the amount of pain I had been in all day I was tired and worried because I couldn't take another knock. But I went in there with a confident attitude. I made him wait for his food, and then put it in when I was Ready and I wanted him to have it. Then when I did put it in I left him and stood by the door I'd got ...

17. Fun in the snow photo post

I'm not feeling like writing a lot today so ive decided to just post lots of photos of magic in the snow for the first time. Until Next time Amber and Magic My boy is definitely not camera shy.  Again you will be able to see that Magic is going very bum high at the minute, I haven't measured him in a few days so I'll do that tomorrow.  Silly faces magics first time playing in the snow Jack says this reminds him of the Lloyd's advert Kisses with my babyyyyy He follows me like a sheep Running to see me One of my favourites.  My boy is very photogenic and loves the camera, I want this photo on a canvas or my phone case

8. Tidying up and chilled days

Today has been a good day it has been long but good and to be honest with you I haven't really done a lot. This morning magic got fed and then left for a little bit to eat his food. I then went back later on and turned him out in to his field this was after he was a really good boy and picked up all four of his feet with out having to be bribed and blackmailed. He let me clean them out and then spray on firstly a spray that helps to repair damaged feet and then a spray of pig oil that the vet suggested to use to repel some of the mud and protect his feet a little bit when he is out in the field. I also gave him a good groom but tomorrow I think that he is going to have his legs properly cleaned as he is in all weekend and I like having a pretty looking pony. I then went home and did the jobs that I needed to do for example, cleaning out my wardrobe of clothes that I do not wear and sorting through books that I have already read and then getting rid of them. I then just generally ...

7. Vets, hospitals and relaxation

Well I'm currently sat in the back of the car on the way to hospital, my mum quickly put Magics food in this morning and now we're on the way to have my test done to see whether I have Addison Disease or not I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it seen as I hate needles and this whole test is about having needles put in me, to say I'm dreading it is an understatement especially when I have hardly slept all night and I am in quite a bit of pain. However I thought I would use this time to update you all on my experiences of a certain vets in Derbyshire. You'll all know that I had to get another vet out to sort out magic after they came out well on Monday i took in the insurance claim form and asked them to fill it in, while at the same time booking Magic in for l his 2nd set of injections. I explained that id be paying with cash and that I knew his vet bills has not been paid, I was waiting for an email off my insurance company. Yesterday I recieved a p...

6. Bandage no more?

Hiya y'all, Well so far I am managing to keep my blog up-to-date while I know it is only 6 days Im glad I am managing to take the time out of each day to post something. Which reminds me have I told you all about my new money making scheme, I saw it on Facebook. You get an old jar, you can decorate it if you want to, and for each day of the year you put a penny in for that day e.g. day 1 is 1 penny, day 2 is 2 and so on until day 365 is £3.65. By doing this by the end of the year you can make roughly £670, that's why there is a number in my blog post. As I plan to post everyday again I decided putting the day of the year on would help me know what I needed to save. On to Magic, he's doing really well and hopefully today will be the last day that his foot is bandaged. I gave him his food this morning and threw him out in the field. After getting some advice from Donna the yard owner she recommemed leaving his foot wrapped up until I bring him in then cleaning it up and l...

4. Just a quickie until later

Well I forgot to post something on day four so you lucky followers will have 2 new posts today. Magic was really good yesterday, I put him out in the morning with the intention that he'd be out all day but it would appear the weather had other plans and magic came in at lunch time. He was very good for her and did exactly what he was told. In my opinion him letting my mum do that will do him some good because it means he's letting other people interact with him instead of just 100% relaying on me while I do not mind this, it will be better for him just invade there is a day when I'm poorly and I'm unable to do him.  His foot is looking a lot better and he really is happier or he appears happier to be walking on it. He's also much happier and calmer now that he's getting more turnout time. When I got there last night he was in his stable just enjoying talking to the foal in the stable next to him. I bought him out picked all four of his feet up, and redresse...
