An Easter full of art ideas.

Happy Easter Everyone!  Last night the clocks went forward so we lost an hour of sleep, I kept looking at my watch this morning (I wear it 24/7) and it told me it was earlier than it was, so I just kept going back to sleep and then remembered that the clocks had changed. When I got up I did a bit of reading and then my uncle and his partner were coming round to visit my nan so I sat with them for a while.  I know that I have got a lot of art work that I need to get done over the next two weeks (6 sheets), so I decided that I was going to do some today and I was going to start of with working on Idea's and then tomorrow I am going to do an artist study. Today I did 6 Ideas and then mounted them so that was one sheet down, the ideas were based around a silhouette of a person but inside the silhouette's sunsets and trees. I'll try and remember to post some picture of it tomorrow!  Now I'm curled up watching Grease on T.V. I've always loved this film, and m

Gatsby Day

Today I had a really good lesson on Gatsby, when I got there he was in his stable, so I bought him out and tied him up outside his stable, so that while I was grooming him Elaine could start to put some more shavings in his stable. The minute that we went outside and tied him up it started to snow, and the flakes kept getting bigger and bigger. I just kept grooming him and making sure that under his tummy more than anything else was clear, because that's the part that if I'm going to miss by accident I am the mostly like to. He doesn't like having it done but when told 'no' after an attempt to bite me he just pinned his ears at me and that was that. But he was really good cause after mum said 'no' he didn't try to again. Now that he's had the person out to have his back done he wasn't as cranky as he was when I tried to do his girth up which made me feel better!  When I got on he was raring to go so I decided to let him walk and while he was

Babysitting My Nephew

Well today has been a long day because I didn't get much sleep last night, but this morning I woke up to go and help my mum do the food shopping, and with it being Easter it was like going to a football match inside the supermarket! Normally when we pay it takes 5ish minutes to be able to start putting the food on the rail this time it took 15-20 minutes. Then when we got back, I played on a game on facebook and went out to do some jobs with my mum, including washing the car.  This evening I am babysitting for my nephew and am then going to be stopping for the night, as it was my sisters birthday yesterday, her boyfriend asked if I would babysit so that he could take her out for a meal. So they picked me up at five and then this evening when we got back we played some games, and ate pizza, lots of pizza, as well as breadsticks and celebrations! We took some photos and he decided that he liked my laptops webcam and thought it was funny trying to figure out how he was on the cam

My Sisters Birthday!

Today was my big sisters birthday, so it meant that she came over for tea in the evening, this also meant that I got to see my favourite little fella in the entire world! I Love my little nephew, I say little but he is growing really quickly at the moment. This morning I didn't have an art lesson, so washed my hair and dried it but left the majority of it looking natural, I planned to straighten it later (but I never got round to it), then I went in for textiles and English. Now for some reason I thought my laptop was fully charged so wasn't too happy to walk in to Textiles and turn my laptop on to find that it was on reserve power, so I couldn't do the work that I planned to do but then in English I got loads done. We finished the book that we have been working on and now are going to go over the historical context, as I have two weeks off for easter I have an essay to do as well as some other sheets.  This evening my sister came over, we had tea and a catch up. The future holds good things.. I think!

Today has been along day and my art teacher didn't put me in a good mood! This morning my mum and I went to her physiotherapist appointment which was in Nottingham so it included an hour long journey there and then the same back. This afternoon I went in to school and had English we have almost finished off the book that we are reading, then I had art, for two months I've been working on a project and he decides today that he doesn't like what I'm doing for my work, so I have to entirely change the direction that my theme is going in to get the grade that I want to get. Which is pretty annoying.  This afternoon I also spent some time looking at insurance prices for a Mini as a Learner driver as well as holding a full licence and found an insurance company that isn't overly expensive for me as a Learner driver and I can continue using as a full licence holder, soo that's pretty exciting stuff.  Most of you will know that I went to centre parks well I am

Product Review - Riders Diary Standard

UPDATE!! I bought this product from  Pony Print  this is a UK company but I know that you can also buy them in America, here's also a link to their UK  facebook page  and Australia  facebook page  I do also know that you can buy them in America. I decided after someone asking for pictures of my rider's Diary to do a product review on the riders diary, this will include pictures of all the different sections and pages that come in it so there are going to be quite a few pictures. The folder holds A5 pages and this is something that I think is good it's not too big for me it's just the right size. So on to picture one this shows the front of the folder, I love how theres a picture of horse and the fact that it's in black and white as I have always had a thing about black and white photographs! For me I also like how the bit that says riders Diary stands out with the red/Burgundy folder. When you open the folder up inside you then get a white page that say

One Part down just two more to go.

This morning I had my first step towards not being a learner driver anymore, I had my theory test and was really nervous about it so that's one of the reasons that I didn't feel like writing long posts but I'm back and guess what? I PASSED MY THEORY TEST!!! I was really nervous about it this morning and because of this I didn't feel like being chatty to anyone and was in a really grumpy mood which I always end up doing when I feel nervous. I was so relieved to see that the questions that came up on the exam where questions that I had been practicing for the last few weeks and I was buzzing! Now all I need to do is pass my practical test (my theory test pass lasts for two years) and get myself a Mini, so that I can get places.  Then this evening as a way to kind of celebrate I decided that I was going Bowling with some mates, it was great I loved it! We all had a laugh my best mate Evie took me and bought me back and I was dead happy with my bowling results as it ha

Photography Projects.

So yesterday I told you all that I had been working on a project with mount board for my photography and now I'm going to tell you all what the project was and share some fun snow pictures that I have got, I love how snow looks, just don't like how it interferes with things!  The project that I was doing was mounting and framing some photographs using three different colours of mount board. The colours had to fit in with my room, purple, peach, beige and brown (although one day I want to paint my walls chocolate brown and hot pink), so the colours my mum chose (she did it as a suprise) where beige, chocolate brown and gold! I then wanted to double mount them so that It had effectively two windows, the first that showed my picture and the second that showed a thin amount of gold! I'm really happy with how they've turned out, and if you want to know more about how I did them please ask. These pictures were picked strategically the one above was the last time I j
