Lunches out, revision and photography

Today has been a really good day I haven't done much but I am happy with what I have done. This morning my pony club joining pack arrived, it came with a badge, a tie, about all the different activities, about the different levels of efficiency tests as well as a cool rosette to go on my horse wall.  This afternoon my dad, mum, uncle rob and I went to Horsley lodge for lunch, we went to try the food as this is where we are going to go after the funeral. I had this really nice cagun chicken with sweet potatoes wedges both things that I have never had before. They were both so nice and I enjoyed having them. My mum had a mushroom linguine and so did my uncle and my dad had a chicken ceasar salad.  We all enjoyed it then this afternoon I drove myself to school and had textiles revision first most people were looking for the fashion show photos but seen as I didn't do it I don't bother looking at them and instead got on with doing some textiles revision. I got given questi...

Textiles Project - Photographs

My skin looks so pale, I'm naturally really pale some pictures show it and other pictures don't this one does. Another side view to show my loss of weight, but you can also see the baggy harem  pants that cover the legs up for the more weight conscious dancer but also allowed movement. Funny Angle, mum took these pictures at an angle because when I am taking pictures I often take them at an odd angle. Don't look quite as pale but I love the framing that goes around this picture.  I just like this photo because you can see all the different colours but you don't see all the different garments. These are steps that are in my garment the steps allowed me to take pictures in a different pose but also allowed me to show the contrast between the bright, bold and vivid colours that I use and the natural colours that you see on a daily basis. It's days like this that you can see my artistic side. Love the pink look that my hair has in this pictu...

A long 24 hours now all I want to do is sleep

The past 24 hours have been long and tiring. After I put my post up yesterday Evie decided that she was going to stay for the night again, however she needed to ring her granddad and let him know that she wouldn't be coming over. For half an hour she tried ringing him and he didn't answer so Evie started to really worry so we decided to go and check on him and it was a good job that we did because when we turned up we found him lying on the floor in the garden he'd fallen over and he had been there for five hours. To cut a long story short we rang her mum and her mum rang an ambulance. Her granddad went to A&E he had xrays and hasn't broken anything. But they are going to keep him in for a while to run some tests and keep an eye on him. Evie still stayed at mine again last night and we tried to cheer each other up. We stayed up til about midnight and then went to bed it was my turn to crash and fall asleep instantly. This morning Evie was up before me we decided th...

Horse time tomorrow and a night with my best mate.

Today has been another long day but I am ending it with my best, mate so that is making me feel better. When I woke up this morning I couldn't feel all down the side of my face that I've got the ear infections on and when I tried to lie on that side of my face it made me really hurt. So my doctor extended the amount of time that I will need to need be on antibiotics and the ear drops.  Then my mum took me to get another new folder so that I now have a folder for my English revision as well as my textiles revision. I also got to refill note pads so that when I'm making notes I can take the Page out of the pad and put it in my folder so that I know everything is together. As I tend to lose sheets and things like that. Then I decided to do some more revision for both my textiles and English classes. I really want to get the best grades that I can so that I can still go to university this October to do my photography course. I'm really trying hard to do the things that...

Just taking one day at a time.

Today has been another long day, because we had a night sitter I said I would have the dog because Angel is very over protective and will bark continually til the person has left the house. She kept me nice and warm but cause she new my mum was up every couple of hours she decided she would wake me up. But I was happy cause my mum made it through the night without waking me up. Today I didn't go to school until this afternoon because I had got frees so ll I had was English and textiles this afternoon. So my mum and I went for a drive and it was the first time that I drove without stalling I was buzzing about it. I am really starting to get used to my car and the gears and it is a super fun little car to drive. Then in school we were just revising for my final exams in both my subjects. I have to admit that I am really nervous about the exams as there is a lot riding on the results that I get from these exams. English was okay but my teacher came to the lesson half an hour late...

Textiles deadline

Today was my textiles deadline so it has been a really busy day. I mounted up all my extra photos in the back of my folder my mum helped me by creating me a designer care label that I love. With my textiles coursework now complete it means that I will have more time to focus on my textiles theory and my English example work which means that I might just be able to bring the grades back up but who knows we will have to wait and see what happens closer today.  Tomorrow I go to centreparcs for the weekend so I am sure that there will be lots of pictures for you all and hopefully it will stop raining and the sun will come out for the weekend. Who am I kidding? But a girl can wish anyway!  So far I've taken my car out everyday since I got it a week ago and today was by far the best ride. I managed to do a hill start without stalling. Get us to Sandiacre which is a 20/30 minute drive from my house and park in a parking space all without stalling. Then I reversed out of my p...

Tomorrow is my textiles deadline.

Today has been a long day so this won't be a long post. Tomorrow is my textiles dead line so I haven't really done anything but textiles today. Today also would have been the first day of my A2 art coursework it was so annoying to know I've worked for a year at my art work and three weeks from the end I have had to give it up. I also had some really exciting news for me today. As my textiles dead line so is tomorrow i needed to take my pictures in my garment tonight. Well as you will all know recently I have been working really hard to lose weight. About a month ago this garments fit me like a glove well not now. The garments massive on me! I even had to get my mum to pin me into the garment. I was buzzing that I lost weight now all I need to figure out is how to get the garments to stay on for the final textiles fashion show. The pictures that I have taken today will be in a post soon.  I need to be up early tomorrow to finish of  my coursework  So  Until...

A productive day today.

Today has been a really good day. I got to bring my art home so when my mum dropped me off for school in the morning all that I had to do was pick it up from my head of years (meaning that I didnt have to see my art teacher) which was great. I then had my timetabled English lesson, which we worked on a practice essay. then during what would have been my first art lesson of the day I stayed in English and wrote three quarters of an essay the last bit I plan to do tomorrow. Then in what would have been my second art lesson of the day I went to textiles and decided that I was going to write question cards as a way of revising for the key aspects of the textiles theory.  During my lunch break my mum met me outside school she got me out of the busy part of Duffield and Little Eaton then we found a safe place to switch and I drove us to Matlock. We soon discovered another reason as to why I was stalling. When I was trying to find my biting point I wasn't getting enough revs up and I...

Day Out with friends. Driving. Sixth form.

This is just a quick blog post, I went out with Dean and sue again today and we had a really good time. As an early exams well done and getting a car present they bought me a bag that will go perfectly with my sixth form ball dress. I also had a dress fitting to do with letting my dress out that I ordered and came in the wrong side. Now all I need to figure out is how to have my hair and what to do with my nails.  I've taken my mini out everyday for the past couple of days. Changing my gears has become much smoother and my stalling has become less. We figured out that the reason that I was stalling was the fact that I wasn't putting my hand brake down fully. Once I realised this I was stalling less. I also managed Togo up a really steep hill now two days before when I tried to go up a less steep hill I stalled and my mum had to get in the drivers seat and get me up the hill. Well not this time I managed to get to the top of the hill. Fair enough it was pretty slow but the ...

A quick post.

Well today's post may end up as a bit of a rant about art. So nothing to do with horses will be in this post. so if you don't want to read it I completely understand that.  Today it has been confirmed that I am no longer doing my art a level course. Unfortunately the issue has not been able to he resolved and to carry on doing the course would stress me out to much and in turn would cause me to be ill. I can't go in to the situation completely because it is being looked into by my school so until that is done I am not really able to talk about it. While I agree that dropping my art is for the best it annoys me that I've spent a year working damn hard on an A Level that with 3 weeks til the end I am not going to be able to finish. It's basically letting my art teacher win but I'm just too tired to keep fighting with him.  This afternoon my sister came over for tea. Which means that I got to see my nephew which always makes me feel better. We had cuddles,...

My Sisters Birthday!

Today was my big sisters birthday, so it meant that she came over for tea in the evening, this also meant that I got to see my favourite little fella in the entire world! I Love my little nephew, I say little but he is growing really quickly at the moment. This morning I didn't have an art lesson, so washed my hair and dried it but left the majority of it looking natural, I planned to straighten it later (but I never got round to it), then I went in for textiles and English. Now for some reason I thought my laptop was fully charged so wasn't too happy to walk in to Textiles and turn my laptop on to find that it was on reserve power, so I couldn't do the work that I planned to do but then in English I got loads done. We finished the book that we have been working on and now are going to go over the historical context, as I have two weeks off for easter I have an essay to do as well as some other sheets.  This evening my sister came over, we had tea and a catch up. S...

I love my Hair!

Okay so I wanted to share with you all a couple of better pictures of my hair, the last picture wasn't the best of me or my hair and made it look a lot darker that it actually is! I originally have quite dark hair so getting a purple that will suit my hair colour and actually change to a vivid purple can be quite difficult and the last couple of times at the hair dressers its faded and not looked how I wanted it to look. This time I got my mum to do it and she will do it again before my sixth form ball. I'm so excited!  Today has been another fairly uneventful day, I wasn't in school this morning as there was no room in the conservatory and the art exam was still going on. So there was no point in me going in to sit and do nothing. So this morning I washed my hair and got it to shine and be all silky, I love it. (The pictures were taken in my Nan's room as me and my mum were helping her to do a job and then realised how bright it looked because the lighting in t...

Long Tiring Day

I managed to find that I could change my template to a two column template instead of three column template and I have to say I much prefer the two column to the three, I think it gives the blog a better look and makes you look at the post more not what is on the rest of the page. Today has been a really tiring day and it's not that I have done a lot because in reality I haven't done a lot. When I got up my Mum and I put Jeremy Kyle on and I started doing some art work, I should have two A1 Sheets for tomorrow and I might have (if I do an artist study tonight) but it's more than likely that I will leave it at one sheet. Today the doctor and the district nurse came to see Nan and although she says that she feels rough to them she looks to be improving which is the most important thing, but as the do goes on she becomes harder to move, her breathing worsens and her speech becomes hard to hear. Tomorrow is a full day of school for me, I have english Literature first l...

My Riders Diary's Arrived

Yesterday my Riders Diary that I had ordered finally arrived and I love it, theres so many different things that you can use it for and I think this is what I love about it! When you open it up there's room for you to put your details, the date you got it, and also important phone numbers that you might need then you turn the page and there is room to put details about your riding school (phone number, address etc.) and also room to write down any memberships that you might have! The next session is horse details here you have room to write about three horses that you have/ride and also a section to put what tack and rugs you have for your horse but also what clothing you use. Then there is a health section this has got room for you to put about their feed, dental records and hoof care, I think this is the section that I will find the least useful because I don't own my own horse I ride Gatsby and will eventually be using him for competitions and I will also be using him for P...

Sixth Form Ball Dress Ordered and a relaxed day of art.

I found the ball dress, as most of you will know (if you read my post yesterday) I had seen a dress that I really liked on pinterest and when I followed the link I was gutted to find out that it was on an American site so even if I ordered it from america there is NO guarantee that it would get her (the UK) in time. So last night I started looking on the internet, after my sister had left, for a dress that was similar to the one that I'd seen online I'd seen a few that were similar but the problem was that they all had a drop waist which is really not suitable for my body shape. Today I emailed them to my mum and she agreed that none of them were 'the one' so during my textiles lesson I went back online to look for that one dress I'd looked at so many different dresses and none of them were that close to the one I'd seen there were some that were similar but nothing that close, I was scrolling through the internet page and a dress caught my eye. I was so shocke...

Results Day Repeatition

UPDATE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN POSTED ON THURSDAY BUT FOR SOME REASON IT SAVED TO DRAFTS AND NEVER GOT PUBLISHED SO HERE YOU ALL GO :) There are some days that I just hate and today is one of them after being nervous last night about my results day today I didn't sleep, then when I got up I was dreading getting them I didn't have a good feeling and I was right not to, once again I got a U on the re-take of my textiles exam. My textiles teacher thinks it's just because I'm not good at the exam technique because she knows I know the work but it doesn't make it any less disappointing! After that I came home and just slept because I didn't feel like doing anything, then I did some revision on the highway code when I woke up and went in to see how my Nan was doing and she seems to be a lot brighter, my sister then came over with her boyfriend and my nephew to visit my Nan so I got to play on the floor with Brody for a couple of hours, he then decided that he wan...

Busy Days and Nan's Return

Today was another pretty much full day in school, when I went in I had got double textiles I used the time to finish off my final garment which was roughly three inches of beading, so that it is finished four weeks early I'm really happy with this as normally I still have loads to do near the end and that's not the case this time. I then had my lunch time, I spent some time looking at Mini's trying to find out a rough price, and also looked at personalized plates as originally it was said that I would get my mum's plate which is L12 ASR, which is my mum's name Liz and my initials at the end, but I saw one that I liked that was 'MM02 AMB', the amb part would stand for amber, MM stands for Mini Milk which is what my sister used to call with me, and 02 was just two random numbers.  I then had English and we were looking more in depth at the second scene of the White Devil, as this is the exam book and I want to get the best understanding as I can, my Engli...

First day back at sixthform.

Hey Everybody! I'll start off by letting you all know that my nan is still in hospital, we were originally told the earliest that she would come home would be Wednesday (tomorrow) however this might not happen because she still hasn't had the Echo-cardiograph that she was supposed to have had two days ago! I haven't been to visit her since Sunday but both my mum and uncle have seen her every day since then. I think that she is feeling a bit better but am not entirely sure, fingers crossed she will be home soon though! Nan's even said 'I was supposed to go home last weekend, now it's next weekend. How many more weekends will they add in'. I do feel really sorry for her as she hates hospitals and was told that it would only be the weekend and obviously things are getting changed. Today was my first day back in school since before half term it was a full day and I had all of my subjects, in English we have just started a new book called 'White Devi...

EXCITED

So today I got en email saying that I was starting the course and could log on to check what was going to be happening in the first week! Well I was that excited that I just decided to watch the first video, I learn better by taking notes while people are talking and three and a bit pages letter after an 8 and a half minute video, I was even more excited. The course I am finding so interesting and I just want to learn more, It's like my brain is a sponge that is absorbing everything. I can't wait to be able to learn all these new things and then be able to put them in to action. I also find it so odd or maybe Ironic is the better word that i started off doing a series for this blog on 'How the horse works' and then a few weeks later a course about Equine Nutrition appears for free. At the minute it seems like luck is on my side and things are just falling into place. Today I haven't really done much after two massive branches fell down at an old couples house a...

Textiles AS is Finally over!

Today was my day for my retake of my AS textiles Exam and I went in feeling confident about it, I had revised a lot this time I knew my stuff and I was ready for whatever was going to come up. I was sitting right at the back of the hall, which i preferred and there wasn't that many people, that were doing other exams, well other than my entire textiles class that was retaking the exam. The first section was really easy and was on fibre's which I had been revising with my mum whilst washing my hair after we had been swimming. The next section that we had to answer was to do with environmental and ethical issues, I also found this quite simple, although with having broken my right hand twice, my hand was really starting to hurt by this point, but I just ignored it and got on with doing my paper that was the important thing. Then the final section was to do with what fibre blends, fabrics, embellishments and fastenings make for a good school skirt, we then had to judge between tw...
