A quick update!

Well I'd like to start off by saying sorry for the lack in posting recently. A combination of being super busy, as well as run down, tired and ill. Has meant that there hasn't been much time for anything else. This week is going to be super busy but will hopefully be the end of our super busy week. On Friday we move in to our new home. I know that I wasn't originally to in to this house but as time has gone on I have got more and more excited about this house and moving. Plus I'm hoping that it will be the end of moving for a while! Magic is doing really well, he had a week off last week because I was just drained. Moving always takes it out of me and leaves me feeling exhausted but the stress coming up to this move has really taken it's toll on me. But on sunday we got back to work and got on with doing some lunging. He was SOOOO good, we managed walk, trot and canter in both directions. He still tried to push his luck a bit on both reins to stop working but b...

hopefully this one will be the one.

Today has been another long day but it has also been a good day! This morning we had to get up early to go walk Charlie for Daryl, he had a house inspection, so we were helping him out. Then we went over to my mums to fill in an application form for a house that we had seen yesterday, that I had really liked. At lunch time Jack had a doctors appointment for a lump that he is found in his mouth. With his anxiety these things tend to send him through the roof so after being there for a week he needed to be seen by the doctors. They said that they think it is just a cyst, but that he needs to be seen by the dentist. While he was waiting at the doctors I headed home to let the dogs out and then walked back down to the doctors. I've been really trying for the past three days to get my health kick back in to action, so it was good to know that I had done so much so early on. It was then a mad rush to get to the next house viewing, originally I was set on moving to the house we v...

house hunting and keeping myself up the arse!

Hi everyone, Okay so I skipped out on posting yesterday and was going to skip out on it again today but I decided not to! I gave myself a kick up the arse and decided to just get on with it things aren't great now but they are what they are and that is life. Today started off badly then got worse and has ended okay. I woke up this morning and was exhausted. I've been having problems sleeping for a while, due to the stress of my housing situation then last night I really didn't sleep well. Then when I woke up this morning I managed to fall down the stairs, my head went black and everything went cloudy and then I fell and slid half way down the stairs. I have no idea what caused it, I've put it down to stress but I really do not know. Then we went over to my mums and I had a better look at what houses were up for rent, nothing jumped out to me as anything that we hadn't already looked at. I made Jack and myself lunch and after waiting for what felt like a...

a not so serene sunday

Another hectic day, I really can't wait to be able to write you all a post when I can literally just sit here and say today I had a quiet day and it felt great! Who knows maybe we will get there one day! When I woke up this morning diesel was still yelping and obviously in pain so I rang the vets back up and got him an appointment. My mum picked us up to go to the vets and I had to carry the puppy all the way down stairs as he just couldn't manage stairs. When we got to the vets the poor little man had the worst of times, I advised them that while he's not nasty he was in a lot of pain and when you looked at his paw he likes to chew it so that it might be best for now to muzzle him. Well that was an ordeal in itself after being told to force him in to a corner and trying it their way. I eventually discovered that my way much easier (which I think I already knew it would be) and that calm, quietly, slowly and freedom of choice was a much better option. They then needed ...

goals for this year

Okay so I am still ill which is driving me mad, I thought that I would start feeling better after a better nights sleep but unfortunately that's not the case. Today I woke up feeling even worse, with stomach ache and chest pains as well, yo-yoing between being too hot and too cold. But the plus side to not being well is that it has given me time to reflect on things and my goals for this year. So I thought that I would take the time to share these goals with you. The first being that I want to move houses. I've known this for a little while but I'm becoming more determined. When I moved to Heanor it was only supposed to be a short rest stop until we moved in with Nicki that didn't work out (but that is a whole post for another day). I need to live closer to Magic, I need to be somewhere calmer where I can work the dogs without Jack panicking and where I can spend more time with Magic working on our fitness. I have seen a house that would be perfect but now it's...

Lazy day when you're full of Flu

Hi all, Well it's me again I really am trying to stick with my writing my blog more often, a) because I love writing it, and b) I know there was a couple of other bloggers that I really enjoyed this experience with. Last night I went to the gym and had a really good session. Up until recently I've only been able to do 15 minutes on the cross trainer on the weight loss programme but last night I managed to do the full time on the programme. I then went on to doing a cool down on the treadmill which was enjoyable, I never in a million years thought that I would enjoy spending time in the gym and not find it torture but I actually am really starting to enjoy myself. Today has been a much quieter day, unfortunately I woke up this morning not feeling very well, I think my flu symptoms have finally turned in to full on Flu and I feel awful! Jack's tribunal was this afternoon but unfortunately it got adjourned until he has got some more medical evidence. Hopefully thi...

a brief update

Hello everyone,  Okay so it's been a really long time since I posted but this time it's not been because I was too tired or because I couldn't be bothered, it's been because I physically couldn't. So some of you that have me on facebook will know that I actually moved houses on the 8th March, this meant lots of decorating and actually left us without broadband for nearly three and a half weeks, when it should have been two weeks. BT have turned out to be a complete night mare but we have now finally got everything up and running, so I've spent the first couple of days catching up with my emails and the essential things and I am now getting back in to blogging both on here and my oriflame beauty blog.  So we now have a two bed flat that's quite spacious, the dogs enjoy having more room to run around and play, I enjoy having more room and room to actually put things where they belong, which isn't always the easiest of tasks, and Jack enjoys having...

57. Not such a big gap this time

Well it has only been two days since I last posted, I'm definitely making more of an effort and even though it's nearly 11pm and I should probably be curled up in bed so that I actually get an earlier than normal night. Today's been a hectic day, it was supposed to be a quiet, but that didn't quiet work out. My mum did Magic this morning, like she does every morning, and he was very good for her. Then I woke up at around lunch time, after another night where I didn't go to sleep until about 3 or maybe even 4am.  When I woke up I chilled out on the playstation for a little bit, playing new games on the new tv, it's HUGE. After Jack and I had properly woken up we took the dogs for a walk, they were so funny to watch. Diesel loves to play with sticks and Casper loves to play with balls. So we took a foot ball and an old bat and the dogs played with that, it was hilarious watching them both on an end of the bat watching them both run together. We then bought th...

55. why does life always get in the way

I really want to keep writing my blog, I've had this blog for a long time and it's been a great outlet for how I'm feeling, for growing as a person, and for developing my knowledge as a horse owner/rider. But sometimes life just gets in the way! I want to blog, I want to sit down in an evening and chill out and write things on here but half the time by the time that I have done the jobs that I need to do and get on my laptop I feel exhausted, then the next day comes and the same thing happens. So while my blogging may not be consistent I do feel like I want to keep blogging and will keep taking every spare opportunity that i get to blog.  So life is good here, magic is great. He's had a bump to his knee, so his knee is quite swollen at the minute but we think we realised where all these bumps are coming from. For whatever reason Magic stumbles when he gets up, and finds it hard to get up some times, so then he knocks himself on walls, or doors or anything that is r...

8. New year, new start?

Every year it gets to the new year and people go it's a 'fresh start' or it's a 'new me' however personally I don't always think this is true, so that's why this year I haven't said that all I have said it's time to improve myself. Last year and to be honest the year before have not been good years for me, but I'm not going to let that hold me back anymore!  So on to my news, Magic is doing really well. He actually managed to go out in the field for a small amount of time today, still not with others, but he was out in a field being a normal horse. The vets came to see him on friday and said that he's looking great! They were really happy with his progress, he's now completely off all of his medication and while he's really to be on minimal turnout for at least the next two weeks it's a step in the right direction. We've got to do lots of walking in hand, lots of just in hand things bascially. He's now also been b...
