52. A long stressful but rewarding day.

I didn't do Magic this morning, as I will openly admit that I went way over the top yesterday with how much I did so this morning I woke up in agony, and really uncomfortable. So i asked mum if she minded and she said no, so a big thank you to my mum. Then at about 10.30 I got a lovely text off Lynn asking when I was next going to be up at the yard and what I was doing and would Magic like to go out so. Of course I jumped at the chance to do this but I was also a little bit apprehensive about the situation. Mainly because I had researched in to it and had seen what could go wrong and I'd spoken to Fiona about what I could be but all the horses really did manage to surprise me. Magic was a little bit nervous but for the past three or four days, he's been in-between Stan and Murphy's Law (Murph) who are basically the two ring leaders. When I got there I was surprised to see the others out in the field but Murph was still stood up at the top almost like he was waiting for...

49. Hospitil Visit and Disciplinary measures.

Well I think my title says it all, today has honestly not been the worlds best days. This morning my mum, Jack and I went to do Magic, I bought him out of his stable and he came out happily. While I was then mucking out his stable (which made my Ribs really hurt but I knew that it needed doing), my mum and jack groomed Magic. Magic was a little bit arsey with jack but I think that was mainly because he could tense that Jack was being ever so slightly wary with him. However everyone got on with doing what they needed doing. His stable was trashed so the majority of his bedding came out, and I put two or three more slices in his bed just to top it up a little bit. I then let him off in the school so that he could get some fizz out but was surprised to see that there wasn't really a lot of fizz coming off him, which I was fine about. I then took him back in his stable and took his head collar off, his food was stood by the tack room door so that once I had got his head collar off I w...

11. Motivation goals, health and horsey calmness.

Today has been a long day and it is safe to say that I am knackered now. I ended up at my walk-in doctors this morning for theme to basically tell me to go back on sleeping pills as the paramedic felt that I am getting the the point of becoming an insomniac and that I am suffering with depression and anxiety/panic attacks. This is something that I have not dealt with before so I'm not actually sure how I'll deal with it really.  This morning my mum put Magics food in. Mum, Jack and I then went back to let magic out about 9.30 this morning, he had all four feet picked up and then walked to his field. Now the past two times that I habe let magic out he's been a pain for some reason when I walk him out to the field he gets half way there and then starts spinning around, running and just being a general idiot. I'm not sure what is causing it or why he is doing it but I am sure that I will figure it out soon. This afternoon jack and I had to help his brother do a few jobs ...

7. Vets, hospitals and relaxation

Well I'm currently sat in the back of the car on the way to hospital, my mum quickly put Magics food in this morning and now we're on the way to have my test done to see whether I have Addison Disease or not I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it seen as I hate needles and this whole test is about having needles put in me, to say I'm dreading it is an understatement especially when I have hardly slept all night and I am in quite a bit of pain. However I thought I would use this time to update you all on my experiences of a certain vets in Derbyshire. You'll all know that I had to get another vet out to sort out magic after they came out well on Monday i took in the insurance claim form and asked them to fill it in, while at the same time booking Magic in for l his 2nd set of injections. I explained that id be paying with cash and that I knew his vet bills has not been paid, I was waiting for an email off my insurance company. Yesterday I recieved a p...

Update post

Just a quick post from me today, sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's not even that I have been that busy I just haven't been on my laptop much recently and updating from my phone is a pain!  So what's new?  Magic is doing really well it's been a few weeks since I've seen him but he's good! Last time I saw him he was letting me touch him willingly and he was following me (or more I was following) and playing with him around the field! He's being delivered on the 10th Of October (which would have been my Nan's birthday), his stables sorted, I know what bedding I'm using. Now all I need to do is sort out feeding, worming, dentist and the farrier! Yeah not much at all, next joke lol. I've sorted out some rugs as my amazing riding teacher has kindly offered to give me some rugs for him. So that's all good.  Now on to the riding, I've been back riding either two or three weeks, since I broke my hand. It's going really well,...

Updates

Well I figured while I was dog sitting what better time to update my blog? For those that have me on Facebook you'll know that I haven't been very well recently, exactly a week ago I was in hospital and on Morphine, unable to eat or drink without throwing up everywhere, with a high temperature and extremely bad stomach cramps. The hospital couldn't tell me what was causing the pain but have told me to take it easy and not do a lot. So for the past week I've pretty much been bed bound or when I do go out not going very far. But I have had my amazing boyfriend looking after me, honestly he's been great, he knows how to deal with me when I'm ill but also knows how to kick my ass in to gear when it needs it, and my mum who has also been amazing, she's had to put up with my bad moods and hasn't even complained. So as I know you read this. Thanks mum! I haven't rode in over a week because I should have had my lesson yesterday but unfortunately I just wasn...

Quiet on the western front

hiya everyone,  well there is nothing much to report here things have been pretty quiet, I've heard off Jack loads this week and it has been nice to have to just randomly chat too :) I like it when he manages to ring me more often but you never know with Jack some days he'll ring other days he won't. He hardly ever rings at the same time and most of the time he never tells me that he's planning on ringing. He quite likes waking me up in the mornings.  Today has been a more eventful day, I'm without a car at the minute which is doing my head in! My car is at BMW having new brake pads put on and possibly new brake disks as well so I don't get it back until 12.30 tomorrow because they have been too busy to manage to sort it today. I had a trip to the hospital with my dad (but that is a post for another day) and I got George (Jack's little brother) out of trouble.  The horse front is quiet at the minute as I am not at my stables until the new year n...

253 - Catch Up Post

Sorry guys it's safe to say that I have been slacking for the past few days. Things have just been really busy so I will start with Last monday and go through til today (Tuesday). Last Monday was pony club evening. It was also a badge evening. Which was really exciting as we haven't done a badge in a while. This time it was the perfect paddock badge that we had to do.We had to be able to set a 'paddock' up in the school using poles to show where the fences would be. Jumping blocks represented the shelter, hay net obviously was hey and the water bucket was water. We also had to answer questions saying what shouldn't be in the field, what should be, if there's three horses in the field how many piles of hay should there be. Then we had to do the more obvious question which was list a load of poisonous plants.  Tuesday I spent the day with George. We didn't do much. I had tried to go with my mum to visit Dean and Sue in hospital but when we tried to go the...

260 - Phone chaos

Today has been a long day. I woke up this morning with the plan to sell my old I phone (which eventually I managed to do), get a contract upgraded to the HTC One in Champagne/gold colour (which eventually we managed) and go and see Dean in Hospital (which we didn't manage). So I'm going to go and see him one day later in the week, maybe Thursday because Friday is own a pony day, Saturday I help at the stables all day, Sundays I tend to not do a lot and then it's the end of the week.  I finally have a phone that I can charge in my house as well, I can't remember if I told you but I got the Sony Xperia Z1 in March. About a month if not longer ago it started only being able to be charged on my car phone charger (it wouldn't work off the mains socket or off my laptop), I know weird right? So today I managed to get the HTC One in a metallic gold colour. It's a lot lighter than my Sony Xperia and so far I'm loving it! I've moved all my pictures across fr...

261 - Pictures and a Quick update.

so here's some more photographs that you guys have missed out on of me and Gatsby. These are the most recent lesson photographs I have got and in this lesson we were focusing on the canter and keeping it up hill and bouncing. Gatsby was great, I can't say that my riding was perfect but we are getting there slowly but surely.  Tonight was a pony club evening and we were doing the perfect paddock badge. Which I passed so I have now got another new badge to sew on to my pony club hoody which is great! I got everything right and then got half an hour of fussing and cuddling mr Gatsby. I love this horse to pieces! He lost another shoe on Sunday on his way to a dressage competition and it can't be put back on for another week and a half. Which will limit the amount of work that we do. However it is Own A Pony Day on Friday 9 until 2pm. Then Saturday is my weekly lesson and the day that I help out. On Wednesday Morning from 8 until 10 I am also helpi...

a series of unfortunate events

Today has been a quiet day for me to just take things easy. I woke up feeling quite tired and aching for some reason but didn't think anything of it. Jack came to keep me company for the day and it turns out it's a good job that he did because my dad and mum both ended up out all day so I would have been in the house all day on my own. While he was here we watched some films and we both decided we think that I am coming down with something as I felt really cold but he said that I felt really warm. Picture from the other day :)   My dad and ended up out for the day at hospital with his friends wife as she couldn't drive. She'd been getting head aches for a while and had gone to see her doctor who told her that she needed to go to the hospital straight away because she might lose the sight in her eye.  My mum also ended up in the hospital but for a completely different reason. Yesterday my sister went out after she had dropped my nephew off at nursery. When s...

Finally got my car back!

For the past few days it was thought that I would get my car back today, but I didn't want to blog about it incase I jinxed everything. My uncle and mum took me to get it and then when my uncle was driving back my mum and I drove back in my mini. We went the countryside root back and it was really nice. The car felt a million times better but then it should do after having £3200 roughly worth of work done to it. Tomorrow I will go in to more detail about the things that it's had done to it but for tonight I am just so happy to have it back. It took me two hours to drive it back from Stoke (should have only taken 1) then I went out again in it this evening for a couple of hours. The things that I noticed immediately was that the engine was a hell of a lot quieter, it was almost purring and sounded so nice. The steering was a lot lighter, and it all felt a lot smoother. The third thing that we noticed was that the brakes were a lot sharper, I literally tapped the brakes to ease ...

One long day

Tomorrow I am going to a hospital appointment to see the pain clinic I am not holding out much hope that they are going to be able to do anything as they said that they couldn't when I went to see them this time last year. But I agreed with my consultants that I would go because when it gets to June he will no longer be in charge of my care because i will move on to the adult doctors. so he thinks that by me going to the pain clinic it means that if I have a bad turn that I will have a link and someone that I can get in contact with.  After that I am going out with some friends that I have known for years and went out with a couple of weeks ago. I know that we are going for lunch to this awesome fish and chip shop restaurant so that's going to be awesome they seriously do the best ever chicken nuggets I love them. But not sure what else we are going to do.  Today hasn't been the best day so I am going to end this post here. Until Next Time A Girl With A Dream  ...

Good New's for Nan = No More Cast

Today was the day that my Nan was going to hospital, we managed to get her to the hospital by using the ambulance people that fetch you and bring you back, on the way there they had enough room for my Uncle to go with her as an 'escort' which everyone agreed that she really needed, however on the way back they didn't think that they would have room. When they got there she went to have a chest x-ray first, and then she was going to the fractures clinic the first part was relatively easy, the second part not so much! Turns out when she was in hospital over a month ago the ward decided to cancel the appointment and didn't tell anyone! So my Uncle and Nan stood their ground and insisted that they she was to be seen today! So while they had to stand and wait they did get seen. I'm not sure whether she had it re x-rayed but she has had the cast taken off. Both my mum and I were surprised that they didn't give her a splint to support the hand whilst it is getting str...

Relaxed Day.

Today I spent the day at home, I've not been sleeping very well recently so when I didn't get up early my mum let me sleep in for a bit. When I did get up I went to keep my Nan company for a while and wait with her until the Doctor came. When he came he told us that until next week at the earliest there is nothing that he can do because he couldn't even get a reading on her blood pressure, and her pulse was very weak to. Tomorrow my Nan's going to get her cast taken off so that should help her to do more things and while she is there she is going to be getting a chest X-Ray. So that our Doctor can figure out what he can to do to help her. But at the minute it doesn't look like there is a lot that he can do for her.  For a while I have been looking at Kindles and I've always liked the idea of a Kindle and my dad's got one. Tonight I decided to have a look at what tablets were out at the minute. As some of you will know I am blackberry addict. My phone...

First day back at sixthform.

Hey Everybody! I'll start off by letting you all know that my nan is still in hospital, we were originally told the earliest that she would come home would be Wednesday (tomorrow) however this might not happen because she still hasn't had the Echo-cardiograph that she was supposed to have had two days ago! I haven't been to visit her since Sunday but both my mum and uncle have seen her every day since then. I think that she is feeling a bit better but am not entirely sure, fingers crossed she will be home soon though! Nan's even said 'I was supposed to go home last weekend, now it's next weekend. How many more weekends will they add in'. I do feel really sorry for her as she hates hospitals and was told that it would only be the weekend and obviously things are getting changed. Today was my first day back in school since before half term it was a full day and I had all of my subjects, in English we have just started a new book called 'White Devi...

Another long day but got a lot accomplished.

Today has been another long day, I woke up at 10:30 as I haven't been sleeping well and decided that while I was watching Jeremy Kyle that I was going to do some art work. I had already done an Artist study last night so all I needed to do was print it out along with some other art pictures that I needed to print out for a development sheet. But I then decided that because I wanted to use the Japanese cartoon style Mange for my final piece that I was going to do an A1 sheet that was based on what manga is and also different examples of Manga. I didn't go and see my nan today but my mum has sorted it so that she can go to the hospital outside of visiting hours in the mornings because my nan is getting so upset and confused. She should have been coming home today (at least that is what we were told on Friday) but it has now changed to that she won't be home until Wednesday at the Earliest. They should have done an Echo today and she will be starting her new tablets tomor...

Baptisms and Hospital visits

Today we went to visit my Nan, they have put her on a tablet to raise her blood pressure and 'at some point' she will be having an Echo (not sure the fall name or if I've spelt it right). When we got there she had a new bruise on her arm where her cannula had originally been, when we asked her what had happened she told us that a nurse had forcefully pulled the plasters off covering it over ( my nan has paper thin skin so when things stick to it they pull her skin off). He then pulled out the cannula and my Nan informed him that he was being 'a bully, cruel sadistic, and hoped he wouldn't treat his mother like he did her', later on he did apologize but said 'she was lucky he came as no-one else was coming to her', now my Nan is awfully confused at the minute, but when we told the nursing staff in charge all they would say was 'he's very gentle and a nice person' to which my nan said are you trying to insinuate that i am making it up, the nur...

Don't blame it on the sunshine, Don't blame it on the light.

YES! We have finally got some sunshine here and the UK the horses were able to have there rugs off today and go outside without them and they LOVED it. Fussy and Hazel even got to stay out for longer than they normally would do! I'm loving it the evenings are getting longer, the heat is getting warmer meaning that Pony Club in the evenings is going to be son fun, it'd be fun in the cold to though!  Today I was riding Gatsby and a guy had already used him earlier in the day for a lesson, so he wasn't too muddy this meant that I got more time and was able to play with his tail and try plaiting it as I've never done it before properly on my own without anybodies help normally it was my mums! So today while Fiona and Elaine were doing other jobs and Jaimie-Leigh I did some work with Gatsby on plaiting and turned out with quite a nice cute plait it was messy at the top but he's had his tail pulled (think that's the right word) so at the top there's loads of ...

Nan Update!

Today has been a long day, My nan had to be in hospital for 10:00am which meant that she needed to leave the house by 9:15am to make sure that she was there on time as this hospital as in the middle of Derby. My mum and I then went and did some banking jobs, and went to get her car washed, after this we had to take her Car to our local tyre repair place as for a while the tyre had got a slow puncture. We found out that it was a  nail that was in the tyre and it turns out that the garage that we had bought it from new it was there and had even marked that it was there. Now surely you would replace the tyre (not sure how you spell that!) or repair it or whatever needed doing, not sell it and not mention it when you know that it was there. We then went straight through to our supermarket to do the weekly shop and make sure that we had got some different foods that my nan might want to eat. As we were driving back my Uncle Rang and said they were transferring her to Derby's other hosp...
