Day two catch up

Well today has been another eventful day, and it is only the second day of the year. In my last post I talked all about magic, in this one I plan to update you on me. My health is still yo-yoing up and down at the moment I'm going through a rough patch, I spent two hours in a&e today for them to say that there is not a lot they can do for me. On Thursday I have got a hospital appointment to finally have the test done to see whether I do have Addison's disease or not. While I am really not looking forward to it I will be so glad to have an answer or just be a step closer too knowing the truth.

I'm currently not doing a lot as magic takes up the majority of my time. I am loving owning a horse it really has been a dream come true and I now can't imagine my life without Magic in it. He really is teaching me a lot and we are slowly learning together, don't get me wrong there are days when I feel useless and like I really do not know what I'm doing. But everyone that has seen Magic compliments me on what a lovely horse he is and how well he is doing. Which of course makes me a super proud horse mum.  He brings out the best in me and I truly believe that getting magic was the best choice I could have made. Tomorrow I will post more but for now I am doped up on pain killers so I am going to head to bed.

Until next time
Amber and Magic

CON ARTIST - NICKI WILLIAMS - BEWARE

Okay so this post has taken me a while to post for several reasons but the main one being just how angry this woman has made me.  For those of you that have been following my blog for a long while you will know that back around October of 2016, I was introduced to a woman called Nicki Williams, she was a friend of a friend that was supposed to be opening a centre for rehoming and rescuing animals, but also for horses working with soldiers that has PTSD. We hit it off straight away and came what I thought to be good friends. However warning bells should have probably rang sooner. By January or February of last year the horses that I had agreed to look after (that she had got on loan) Bella and Arthur, she was being threatened that she would have them taken off her by the control of horses act, because she hadn't been paying the rent for the field. Although Nicki reassured me that she had done, she even showed my 'payments' that had been made to Angie. I ended up getti...

Magic's 2nd day in his new home

It has been a while since I have posted on here but I thought it was the perfect time to restart the blog. So to start with I'll give you all an update on what's been going on over the years since I've posted and then I will be back to regularly posting and keeping you all updated on the world of magic.  The first big change who I need to introduce is Jaxon, Jaxon is mine and Jack's 7 month old baby, he was born on the 7th July 2020. Part of this blog will be dedicated to overcoming the challenges of having a small child and owning a horse, even when everyone told me it was impossible to do. Jax has a best friend Bailey who is mums new 1 year old puppy and he has the best time trying to play with her.  Of course Magic is one of Jaxon's best friends.  Now for an update on Magic, he is doing really well, I can't remember if I ever told you, but he moved yards last year when I was pregnant with little man. Unfortunately this yard just didn't quite ...

Olympics - good bad or both?

In the Beijing Olympics in 2008 the horses used in the pentathlon were said to cause farcical scenes with fall after fall after fall. This was said to be the fault of the horses that were either hired or loaned to the competitors. It was not blamed to be rider error or a combination of both rider error and horse error, it was labelled as being the horses fault or this is what it said in ' Horse and Hound Magazine'. This horse was said to have been to spooky and sharp, but is it not a combination of rider's aids and rider error AS WELL as the horse being spooky. Can we really just blame it on the horse, when we are the ones that tell the horse what to do, by no means am i saying it was 'just the riders fault' couldn't it have been a combination of both?.    For the London 2012 Olympics it was said that a total of two years if no longer was spent attempting to find the right horse for the right competitor. They made sure that the horse was at the right l...
