Pony Club - Points of the Horse Badge Passed!

Today was the second badge testing evening at Pony Club, we were doing the points of the horse and I was more nervous about doing this badge than the grooming and handling badge. I know the grooming things, the points of the horse I wasn't so sure about.

I had a practice before and then went to doing the test with Gatsby. To start with I said all of the points of the horse that I knew, then Elaine asked me the ones I hadn't said and I had to say where they were on the horse. I got all of them except three and the ones that I didn't get Elaine didn't know either, so that was comforting to know.

When we had finished that Fiona told us that we were not going to know whether we had passed or not until the end. We decided that we were going to work on doing plaiting and also how to put on bandages. This is something that I have always found difficult but I only got one attempt at three years ago so I was looking forward to trying to do it again. The great thing was I found it so much easier this time, it just kind of made sense, I really enjoyed it, Maisie and I got to work on Gatsby so that was cool, I enjoyed working with her and chatting with her as she seems to be such a sweet and genuine girl and I like that. We were supposed to get around to doing some plaiting but we never did. We then got to pick names out of a hat for the horse that we would put to bed and I got Hazel. Fiona and Elaine hadn't got around to mixing the feed so they quickly did that and then I got to feed Fussy, Hazel and Rosie. When I had put their feed in I then quickly pulled Hazels bedding down, put her hay net up and checked the water. Hazel's a horse that I've never worked with before but I liked working with her, she's an old mare but is sweet and seems to have a nice personality.

We also found out that WE ALL PASSED the points of the horse badge. We've got so many things that we are planning to do through pony club and I can't wait to do all of them. We are going to be doing a fundraising badge which will be cool, we might be doing things like cake stalls, car washes and pony rides for that. I can't wait to start getting ideas and doing new things!

On Wednesday and Friday I am going up to the Stables to do some volunteer work as I love helping out up there, it's fun and there's always something different going on. For example today Fiona was rescuing Tickles out of the tree, Tickles and Tabby had gone up the tree and Tabby figured out how to get down but Tickles couldn't figure it out!

Okay so this post has taken me a while to post for several reasons but the main one being just how angry this woman has made me. For those of you that have been following my blog for a long while you will know that back around October of 2016, I was introduced to a woman called Nicki Williams, she was a friend of a friend that was supposed to be opening a centre for rehoming and rescuing animals, but also for horses working with soldiers that has PTSD. We hit it off straight away and came what I thought to be good friends. However warning bells should have probably rang sooner. By January or February of last year the horses that I had agreed to look after (that she had got on loan) Bella and Arthur, she was being threatened that she would have them taken off her by the control of horses act, because she hadn't been paying the rent for the field. Picture time Part one

Hiya Guys, I can't say that I've really done much today other than finding myself sleeping lots. After the past week being quite stressful as well as the few weeks before leading up to the court date it's safe to say I've hit my barrier where all I really want to do is sleep. The problem is though that I am sleeping during the day and then it gets to 11pm roughly and I find myself wide awake and on my laptop looking for something to do that is going to make me feel sleepy. I've tried reading a book and I start to feel really sleepy but then the minute that I turn the light off and put the book down, bang, I'm wide awake again. As I've not really done a lot I thought that I would take this opportunity to post some pictures up from the last time that I jumped Gatsby (also the first time I fell off him). Switching Sides.

You might think that this is a bit of a weird title post but by the end of this post it will become clear what it means. But before we move on to the riding part of my post, I'll do the everyday part. To start with my mum had to take my dad to the doctors as he has been having a stiff neck and back and finding it really uncomfortable to move, they've referred him on to a physiotherapist. This afternoon I accompanied my mum on a business appointment. Early in the week she made three special hand made wedding cards for a family and the wedding invitations needed to be sent abroad so she only had two hours from the start til the end of the project. They said that they would ring her back and sort out doing the rest of the cards. Today we went back to the same family and sorted out what we were doing for the bulk majority of wedding cards and then what we were doing for the other 10 Special cards for the same wedding.
