Thunder and Lightening

Today and last night we have had heavy rain, thunder and lightening. This is something that we tend to not get very often but has been needed for a few weeks as it's been a heavy, suffocating atmosphere. So after the storm we expected to have a nicer atmosphere but it's not changed it's still the same as it has been for the past few weeks.

This morning I had a driving lesson with my new teacher we worked on reversing around corners and doing turns in the road (there not allowed to be called three point turns because if you need to do it in more than three turns then that is okay). I have also got my driving test booked for Friday the 6th of September! I can't wait, tomorrow I will hopefully find out how my car is doing as it is needing even more new parts! Frustrating. After my driving lesson we took my dad to the hospital for him to have the x-rays that he needed doing and blood tests.

I then had a nap this afternoon as I have not been sleeping very well and had an early start this morning. Tomorrow I have another early start as I am going up to my stables to help out, I'm hoping there will be no thunder and lightening but if it happens then it happens.

Then when I have finished there I have got to go straight to my physio appointment basically the joint at the back of my hip (see diagram below) has raised slightly, at the moment we are not sure which one it is that has raised, as both have been painful and sitting in a saddle at different point it swaps which way I was tipping. To sort this out I have been loaned a belt, this belt basically puts in the joints in the right place and it amazed me how much it managed to alter my riding position and how Gatsby moved, that's also why I hopped on Rascal to see if I still tipped one way.

Where the purple arrows are on this diagram shows you the place where it appears that I am slightly out of place, hopefully tomorrow I will get more of an explanation as to whats going on but only time will tell. I have to wear a belt that holds these joints in place the majority of the time!

I love all the photo's that we are getting as I am currently starting to build up a scrapbook of my riding experiences starting this summer. It's going to include photo's, score sheets, things that I've done e.g. the BYRDS Competition and everything else that's horse related, I might even put sketches and drawings in that I do.

Okay so this post has taken me a while to post for several reasons but the main one being just how angry this woman has made me. For those of you that have been following my blog for a long while you will know that back around October of 2016, I was introduced to a woman called Nicki Williams, she was a friend of a friend that was supposed to be opening a centre for rehoming and rescuing animals, but also for horses working with soldiers that has PTSD. We hit it off straight away and came what I thought to be good friends. However warning bells should have probably rang sooner. By January or February of last year the horses that I had agreed to look after (that she had got on loan) Bella and Arthur, she was being threatened that she would have them taken off her by the control of horses act, because she hadn't been paying the rent for the field. Picture time Part one

Hiya Guys, I can't say that I've really done much today other than finding myself sleeping lots. After the past week being quite stressful as well as the few weeks before leading up to the court date it's safe to say I've hit my barrier where all I really want to do is sleep. The problem is though that I am sleeping during the day and then it gets to 11pm roughly and I find myself wide awake and on my laptop looking for something to do that is going to make me feel sleepy. I've tried reading a book and I start to feel really sleepy but then the minute that I turn the light off and put the book down, bang, I'm wide awake again. As I've not really done a lot I thought that I would take this opportunity to post some pictures up from the last time that I jumped Gatsby (also the first time I fell off him). Switching Sides.

You might think that this is a bit of a weird title post but by the end of this post it will become clear what it means. But before we move on to the riding part of my post, I'll do the everyday part. To start with my mum had to take my dad to the doctors as he has been having a stiff neck and back and finding it really uncomfortable to move, they've referred him on to a physiotherapist. This afternoon I accompanied my mum on a business appointment. Early in the week she made three special hand made wedding cards for a family and the wedding invitations needed to be sent abroad so she only had two hours from the start til the end of the project. They said that they would ring her back and sort out doing the rest of the cards. Today we went back to the same family and sorted out what we were doing for the bulk majority of wedding cards and then what we were doing for the other 10 Special cards for the same wedding.
