A-Z fun questions.

Okay so the other day I saw this on one of the blogs I read and thought I might as well give it a go! If you want to try it feel free to!!  A - Age? 18, it doesn't seem that long ago that I was 16 and finishing my GCSE's B - Bed Size? Double  C - Chore you hate? Tidying my room, I love organising other peoples stuff just not my own!  D - Dogs? I have a Shih Tzu called Angel, for anyone who follows me on instagram you'll have seen her around. E - Essential start to your day? Good Question, but I really don't know the answer, I don't always eat/drink anything so it can't be that! I DO always check my phone when I get up and several times during the night. So I guess my essential start to the day is to check my phone.  F - Favourite Colour? PINK or Purple,  I can have anything that I want as long as it's in one of those two colours. I've even been known to dye my hair both pink and purple!  G - Gold or SILVER? GOLD! Silver in jeweller...

Jumping Gatsby - 24/08/2013

Yesterday I had my weekly riding lesson, I already knew that I was going to be jumping because Fiona had told me so the day before.  When I got on we spent a shorter amount of time working with my stirrups at my flat length (during the warm up and a small amount of trot) before putting them up three holes for my jump length. The first thing I noticed was that my ankles were going to ache and so was my hip and while I was nervous I was looking forward to jumping Gatsby. While I was doing some trot work with Gatsby Fiona and Steph (a lady that's going to be there most Saturdays that Fiona is teaching to do her BHS IA, I think!) set up to sets of trot poles one down each side. One had four poles and the other had three poles and was set up with the jump wings on each side. We went over the jumps a couple of times just doing rising trot then moved on to moving in to my jump seat. When I felt confident doing this Fiona asked if I was happy to move up to jumping, which I was. We sta...

Skegness Part one.

Yesterday I went to Skegness, we left early in the morning and it was a really long day. We left at 5:45 and got to Skegness for 9:00 in the morning it was earlier but it was good, I liked the fact that you could watch all the people setting up the rides, and that you could see them sending the Roller coasters round. To get them warmed up, it meant that I could see where they go before I decided whether or not I was going to go on any of the rides.  When everything was more likely to be open, this was about 10:30 we decided that we would go for a walk around the market, as I was walking around I kept mark of things that I liked so that I didn't buy things and then see something and think 'I wish I had bought that instead'. When we went all the way round while Dean got some drinks, Sue and I went to get the top that I decided was the one thing that I wanted, when I got there I realised that it said one size fits all and there was no where to try the top on so I decided ...

cross country on gatsby

okay so yesterday was my last official riding lesson of the year as the college has now ended and I was riding Gatsby! I should have been riding Arthur but after having a mental breakdown at the thought of jumping him lauren suggested that I rode Gatsby. Gemma didnt tell us until we were on that we would be doing cross country practice all though this was indoor, this involved us learning how to do a cross country canter and how to take the jumps as a stride not preparing for them and then making it a individually movement. So to start with Gatsby seemed quite lazy, there was nothing overly active about him, but then as the lesson moved on and the more transitions that we did the more awake he became, we did a jump that was a corner that was basically three wings, and three poles, two wings on one side and one on the other side, and then the three of them spread out making them look effectively look like a spread. We then also did a normal jump but with the plastic jump block things ...
