The way to heaven is on horseback

Things are going well with Magic, in fact with all the horses at the yard, as you all know I managed to Lunge Magic and Ride Derry on Wednesday, Thursday Magic got to do a little bit of work, then I lunged Sparky, and then hopped on Sonny for a little bit, before Friday Magic got lunged in the field to do something different. Over the weekend the horses had the time off, this is the time when Jack's off work so we tend to do things and then I focus on Magic while Jack is at work, we also didn't have a car this weekend. Today kick started the week off on the right foot. I had a lie in this morning when I got back from collecting a parcel and taking Jack to work, then mum came over and we tidied my Garden up before heading over to the yard. When I got there I lunged Magic for a while, we focused on staying in walk and trot and lunging for 7 minutes in each direction with no side reins. Hi Everyone,  Well it's been a while since I wrote on here, I keep meaning to get back in to blogging but it just doesn't happen, the most annoying part is that everyday I think about blogging, and that I need to write something and then something comes along. So what's been going on? Well, life has been quite hectic at the moment, things haven't been the best the past couple of weeks, but they are starting to kind of look up.  So I'll start with Magic, Magic is doing great! He's finally back out with the herd and he is loving every single moment of it. He goes out first thing in the morning and then some days I will bring him in early at anywhere between 1 and 2 and then other days he will stay out with the rest until between 3 and 4. I feel that he still needs to come in early so that he realises that he can come in on his own and that it's nothing to be stressed or worried about. So today was my dad's birthday so I had to wake jack up early, well early for him but late for most other people, before we went to meet my mum, dad and robert at the Bridge Inn, my favourite pub for food in the world! It is AMAZING! I had the smothered chicken in BBQ sauce with chips, it's chicken, bacon, and melted cheese, with BBQ sauce over the top of it and Jack had BBQ ribs and chicken with chips, (my) onion rings and corn on the cob, and as normally we split it in half and had half of each others.  After this I went to do some jobs for Nicki (my new boss and friend) I went to get the wormers for Arthur and Bella, as well as a bag of ready mash for them. Then went to see Magic, who is doing great. Today was his first day in as they all stayed in, tomorrow he will go out on his own and then Wednesday he'll start off out on his own and then I'll move him over to the other field later in the day. Well the past few days have been interesting to say the least. After our long walk with Magic on Thursday, we spent the day chilling out on Friday. We spent the morning playing games, and catching up on what was on T.V. before heading over to my mums with the dogs. While they spent a good few hours playing out in the garden, Jack and my mum made brownies, and I spoke to my dad for a bit. Before Jack and I then decided to fit our new speakers in our new car. It took us a while to do it but we managed it in the end. We then came home and chilled out, while Jack started playing our new game Mafia 3 I spent some time watching T.V.  Saturday was another quiet day,  I didn't see Magic today, as to be honest I was exhausted. He hadn't been in and he didn't need anything doing to his stable (I did check) so I left him out in the field with his friends for a few days. Well I tried writing this blog post yesterday, and then today I ended up deleting everything. It's been that long since I've blogged that I don't think I'd be able to catch you all up on everything in just one post. So I'm going to go about it differently and start off by letting you  know what I've been up to recently and then I'll just fill in the gaps as I go along. For those of you who don't have me on Facebook I've also had Magic in Derbyshire for a year now, while I've owned him since day one he's been all mine officially for just over a year and what a journey it's been.  So today I took Magic for a walk, I think we calculated that we walked between 3 miles and 4 miles. This was the first time that I had taken Magic out in ages due to his lameness issues which are now all resolved. Which also enabled us to give him his second proper trim for his hooves. Sorry guys for being MIA for a while I've only just managed to get proper wifi sorted in the flat up until Wednesday I had been using a dongle that my mum paid for and then on Wednesday I finally got a telephone line fitted and broadband. I started off by using talk talk, but they were telling me that it was 'normal for it to take 45 minutes for it to load one page'. So then I went in to town and connected to Virgin and as soon as it was fitted it was working straight away on some of the fastest broadband speeds that I've ever seen which was amazing.  Magic is doing really well, he's turning into a lovely sweet horse. He loves being brushed and the other day he had his first proper bath, only for it to rain the next day and magic to end up rolling in the worlds biggest puddle ever. He came in looking like the worlds biggest mud monster ever. He's also getting loads better at picking his feet up, we still have lots more work to do on the back ones but he...

6.45am - I got woke up, I was not happy to be woken up, I'd been dreaming about this move the whole night and I was beyond exhausted. I didn't go to sleep until quite late and then I was up, I'd set out all my clothes the night before for me and Jack so that we could just get up in the morning and go.  7am - Got to the yard, NOBODY was there which was exactly the way that I wanted it to be. I mucked out his stable at the old yard for the last time ever. I made sure that the stable was really clean and that I hadn't left anything in it. I loaded up the last few things in the car and we were ready to go. I received a lovely text from my riding teacher saying good luck today and that she knew that I would be fine, this gave me a real confidence boost as my riding teacher knows me better than anyone (horse wise) and she believed in me. Hiya everyone, Well today has been a slightly better day. Although I can safely say that I am aching like mad now!! I spent the morning in bed with my man, I just felt like for whatever reason I needed to get some sleep. Then when I did wake up I spent a while reading my slimming world magazine, I also made a start on finishing the rug I'm making for magic I've got one more bit to do tomorrow and then it will be finished. Then while jack went for his driving lesson. I went to see magic. When I got there he was lying down and didn't really want to get up but eventually he did do. I put his head collar on and we went up to the school. I was a little bit apprehensive as to how he was going to be in the school because obviously we did not end on a good note. But he was amazing, if anything he was a little bit subdued and quiet today. He walked next to my shoulder perfectly, other than when he tripped he didn't put a foot wrong.
