The way to heaven is on horseback

Today has been a wicked day, I did not get to ride because my riding teacher was not very well but I did go on a long walk with magic. We walked from my stables to my house and back to the yard again.  In total it took one hour and 20 minutes, and it was a total of nearly four miles but it was so much fun. This is the first long distance walk that my boy has done and he was amazing.  He only spooked twice, and neither time was his fault both times it was because of idiotic drivers that decided to do 60 and 70 miles per hour past him and to say that pissed me off was an under statement. I've also lost 4 pounds since Thursday and  honestly I do not think that I could have done that without my fitbit tracker and app. It has been such a great motivation and today I have managed to get all my sections that I need in the green in the green. Well a baby horse that is! Haha I wonder how many of you thought something different with my post title. I hadn't though of any funny post titles in a while so I thought that this could be one. For those of you that have been following my blog you'll have seen my debate about whether I wanted to get an older horse or a foal and the decision that I came to was that I wanted a baby horse. The main reason for this was the horses history. At my yard, I've seen a few people that thought that they had got an amazing horse and then as time goes on without problems have been found to do with its past, so my thoughts with having a baby horse are the fact that I will know 100% the horses history. Well its time for an update on everything that has been going on in my world.  First of being my loan with tubby, that is no longer happening unfortunately things were starting to get too complicated and after the fall that Elaine had with him at that point he was not sound. And no one could guarentee when he was going to be sound and we decided that there was no point starting the loan on wrong footing so unfortunately that did not happen. However I have come up with a new plan of things that I want to do I am currently saving up for a foal while a lot of people might not think that this is the worlds best idea because of the fact that it is my first ever horse however I feel that with the support and knowledge I have surrounding me that this is something that I would be able to do. I'm feeling tired today it has been a long day and I haven't slept much last night so it is safe to say that I am pretty tired right about now so this blog post might not be very long. This morning I was at my stables, I got there for 9.30. I then mucked out Sam's, solys and Gatsby stable and little rocky's stable, I almost forgot that little man. I then helped fiona to fill all the hay nets so there is now two days worth of hay nets filled and bring the horses in and turn the two remaining horses out.  I then took my mum and dad to cosmo for lunch, and got my nails done :D. Before going back to my stables. Pony Club is now back on. So tonight we covered an important topic, the little kids wanted to go outside and run around so they did that and then the older ones stayed inside so two of us and Fiona and we discussed the steps you'd go through to buying your own horse. It was really interesting and I learnt a lot, I know that i am definitely going to be asking...

So as you will all have seen on my new years eve post I have decided that this year will be the year that I finally get my own horse (or at least that is the plan anyway). So tonight I have sat down and figured out what money I get and when, and how much gets spent a week, so I thought why not put it on here for you guys to see.  I also went to the bank today and put £131.00 in to my ISA Bank Account, this way it is being saved up but growing on interest at the same time. So that is £131.00 towards my horse already and it is only the 2nd January.  So here's my plan, for the next £12 weeks I have got £118.00 to spend a week. I have to remember the things that I do need to spend my money on. So here's what I have to spend my money on.  Petrol - To fill my car up it costs between £40 and £50 so I've financed to spend between £160 - £200 a month on petrol.  Vanquis - Credit Card that I need to pay off - £30 a month.  HSBC Credit Card - £30 a month....

hiya everyone,  well there is nothing much to report here things have been pretty quiet, I've heard off Jack loads this week and it has been nice to have to just randomly chat too :) I like it when he manages to ring me more often but you never know with Jack some days he'll ring other days he won't. He hardly ever rings at the same time and most of the time he never tells me that he's planning on ringing. He quite likes waking me up in the mornings.  Today has been a more eventful day, I'm without a car at the minute which is doing my head in! My car is at BMW having new brake pads put on and possibly new brake disks as well so I don't get it back until 12.30 tomorrow because they have been too busy to manage to sort it today. On Sunday Fiona and I made the journey down to Keysoe, the College Equestrian Centre. The facilities there were stunning, they were honestly my dream equestrian centre, it had a massive out door school, enough for three dressage arena's that were being judged. There was a stunning indoor school, the great thing about this was you could sit eating (having our breakfast) and watch through the windows while the riders warmed their horses up. There was also a really nice equestrian shop that Fiona bought a stunning waistcoat from for the summer season. They also had a cross country course set up that I could see from a distance but I didn't see up close. The college goes on both sides of the road, it is truly massive, there show stables also looked amazing.  When we got there we had our breakfast as we had arrived earlier and we were not going to have a lunch break so we needed something that was going to last all day. While I was up at the stables yesterday, I decided that I would ask my riding teacher her opinion of the car verse horse situation. She agreed with my dad for a few different reasons and here they are:  If I don't have a car how can I get to my horse, I would constantly be relying on other people to take me there (as there isn't a bus root from mine to West Hallam), so if Mum OR Dad couldn't take me then I wouldn't be able to get up! :(  I'm going to University this September and am going to be doing a foundation year and then a three year photography course, so whilst I would have ALL summer, time would be come pretty tight after this and the horse wouldn't get the attention that they truly deserve, and that's not fair at all on the horse.  At the moment in time my stomach is in a good place, it's not hurting as much, I'm not on as many tablets and it's making it so that I am really able to concentrate on working hard, BUT I can't guara...

I hate them, this all started yesterday when my dad said that the money that I had got could buy me a decent mini as I love mini's and really want one, my instant reaction was NO that money is meant for my horse riding and for me to be able to buy my own horse! My mum then said to my dad that he should have known that, that was the reaction that he was going to get from me. However I then started to really think about the idea, a mini would allow me to go different places to do with riding and not have to rely on mum or dad or fit around my brothers schedule, it would then mean that when I did have my own horse I would be able to get to it. So I started to look around on the internet at used mini's as there is no way that I would be able to afford a brand new one, and I saw a few that were a reasonable price and that I liked the look of but then came the problem the Mini one is mainly a 1.6Litre Engine, which would be over £1000 in insurance, so I started to look for a Mini On...

It seems to be that I am getting some good luck at the moment. As you all know I did an 'own a pony day' with Gatsby just after Christmas, then last Saturday I found out they were doing the pony club events but that there was also another 'own a pony day' over half term. Since Saturday I have been debating whether I wanted to do it or not, or more to the point, whether I could find a sensible reason for spending more money that I need to be saving up for my own horse! I eventually decided to ask my Nan if she will pay for part of the 'own a pony day' while I paid for the other part, this meant that I would pay the £10 deposit this Saturday to secure me a place, my Nan would then pay for the other £25 making it so that I could do the own a pony day! Today I decided that seeing as my day had been fairly boring and definitely not that horse related that I was going to do an Equine Wish list. But before I do that I will tell you what I did do today. When I woke up me and my mum went swimming, so that the evenings would be free for anything that my brother wanted to do. I then watched some of the programs that I like on telly this included, Jeremy Kyle, and two different 'Real Housewives series' and in one of them, their daughter got a pony for her 4th Birthday present. I don't half wish that was me! I don't think it is going to be a late night for me tonight as I am just completely and utterly shattered and I haven't done anything to make me feel this tired, I think that the problem is my Art Teacher, mentally I am completely on edge wondering what he is going to do next, especially with tomorrow being the Art Deadline and I think that that is what is making me feel so completely and utterly tired, but hey-ho life goes on. Today I have been doing some more horse work, as you all know i do art and I learn best by using bright colours, and drawings, so today I decided to do a drawing of the Gastrointestinal tract, I still can't spell it so I am hoping that's right. Hey everybody,  Well I always wanted to post videos of my riding on my blog as I have quite a lot of my riding over the years! So today I have decided that I am going to attempt it, how hard can it be?but first of all I am going to tell you all my goals for 2013 I don't have many but a few is better than none right? So here goes :-  Most important goal - BUY MY OWN HORSE! I've been saving up and am aiming for having my own horse this year, plans might not go that way but thats what I aiming towards and what I want more than anything!  Manage to keep my elbows tucked in!  Work on cantering and jumping, probably over the summer and begin to feel more confident and less nervous doing it! so as you all know the past couple of days I have been being creative but have not had the time to put it in a post what it is that I am being creative about, so here is a post dedicated to telling you what it is! Two days ago I went to look at some boots at Risley Saddlery and decided I didn't like them but thought that whilst I was there I might as well have a look round and see if there was anything else there that caught my eye, my mum and I also needed to look at Jackets because my dad has decided that he wants a Bronte jacket for his birthday but we are going to be ordering that off the internet for him and hope that it comes in time for his birthday which is near the end of January. This time next year I will have bought my own horse and will have so much more to tell you all, because I plan to keep writing on my blog, and letting you all know about the adventures that I am sure are to come. When I first started my blog I thought that it would be something that I would update once or twice every few weeks but never did I think that I would be updating most days, and when I wasn't updating that I would be thinking about what my next post would be. Now here I am three months in and on my 75th post. Its suprised, me cause in the past i've had blog after blog after blog, I kept making them thinking 'i will start doing this again tomorrow' then just not bothered.
