40. Pancake Day.

Today is Pancake day and that makes me really happy because I love Pancakes. So I don't know whether it will be my mum or I that make the pancakes it will still be amazing so my question for all my amazing followers is what do you like on your pancakes?? My favourite and my boyfriend thinks it is insane is sugar and orange juice I know that might sound really strange but it is something that I really enjoy, I do also like things like chocolate spread, golden syrup and things like that. I also have a really sweet tooth so you can imagine for me this is just one of the best days of the year. It's AMAZING. Now on to my actual blog post,  mum did magic this morning as even though I am on all my tablets, the stress of yesterday made it really hard to sleep but I did spend yesterday evening drawing you can see my drawing below.  But yeah mum did magic as I wasn't well.  My plan for magic this evening is to get him to do a bit of work, he still doesn't fully understand the j...

A surprise visit from my little man!

Today has been an interesting but long day. This morning we were supposed to be doing group seminars, however there was on one of our lecturers in so they were not able to get around the whole group. So I did another page in my sketch book, tomorrow I plan on doing two or three pages in my other sketch book. I was looking at eyes this time.  Then during my lunch break I came home and was surprised by the fact that my sister had come over, this of course meant lots of photographs of my baby nephew! He's growing so quickly it doesn't seem like almost two years since he was born. We played on my drum kit, looked at my brothers bike and cuddled lots of cute teddy bears. We tried to teach him some of the colours off something that my mum had and of course we got to eat cake (carrot cake). Although he refused to it until I tried some so I ate some even though I hate carrot cake!   Then it was time to go back to Uni and we had a life drawing class. Everyone found it incredib...

Catch up Part Two

Tuesday I had my second lecture it was based on colour but the interesting thing was it wasn't just how other colours effect each other but it was optical illusions. We had to think about how things like shapes, tones and shadows will effect how colours look. I found it really interesting and I think that I will have to think more about how I use colour in photography but also which colours I chose to use. That afternoon I didn't have any lectures so went out with my mum to get some ideas on how I can make my own masquerade mask and I also bought some things for that, but more on that another time!  Wednesday was a more eventful day again I was only in in the morning but it was a longer session. We were looking at portrait work and drawing ourselves. We got given four sheets of A2 paper, and got told that we had to draw one quarter of our face at a time. The catch was we couldn't look at the other quarters while we were doing it. Each one was an individual drawing. We ...

First Lecture and workshop

So today is the first day that I am actually coming on my computer to do my post the past few nights I've been loading blogger up on my phone and then typing my post on that then going straight to sleep. So I haven't actually been reading any body elses blog. Well that changed today I caught up on what everybody has been up to.  This morning I had my first actual workshop for my second Module. I was looking forward to it but at the same time as it's more a fine art module I was nervous about the drawing that we had to do but I really like the work that we had to do. We started off in our studio space and then we had to do 8 drawings marking the journey that we were going on. It could be anything from rubbings, marking, views out of the windows or people walking around. It could also be done in any material that we wanted to so I used a combinations of pens and a HB pencil. It was really fun and at the end I got some great feedback and also got told that lots of the thi...

soft play centre and Module two

Today has been another good but long day, with my student loan now being in my bank account I decided that I would have a McDonald's breakfast because I haven't had one in ages so I got up to do that this morning. Then at lunch time my mum and I were meeting up with my nephew and sister to go to a soft play centre, we had our fair share of fun and running all over the place, it was really good.  This afternoon I had my first lesson on my second module, a module that looks at different styles of art work, this module has more drawing in it than the other one that we have been given so far. Part of me really likes this but I'm also slightly apprehensive about it as well as there is quite a lot of work to do with drawing the human body something that I'm not very good at but we will soon see how it goes.  Until next time  A Girl With A Dream

Another Drawing.

Another drawing I have done, ever since I've left school all I've wanted to do is artistic things, drawing, colouring, working with ink all of these kinds of things. If I was ever to have a tattoo it would be something like this but instead of being purple and orange it would be purple and pink. This is another drawing that I saw on the internet and just really wanted to draw so here is the final product. I'm not sure what my next product is going to be.  Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dream

Art Related Post

As I write this I am sitting in my Art lesson, with nothing to do, although this probably won’t get posted until this evening, as the internet single in the art conservatory is rubbish. We haven’t got a lesson today because it is the year 11 art exam day one of two, so we get put in the conservatory where we have to sit in silence and work, which is okay but pretty annoying to be honest as the conservatory gets overly hot and there’s hardly ever any room because not only are year 13 (my year) in here as a scheduled lesson, but there’s also year 12’s that have come in during there frees to get some work done. As I got here a bit late, I’m not able to go in and get any paper so I can’t paint and as I can’t get on the internet so I also can’t do an artist study which was my original plan. Okay Rant over! A while ago I said that I would post an ‘art related’ post that was tips that my art teacher gave me on how to make my horses look more realistic. The first thing t...

Lean Mean Shedding Machine

I forgot to post yesterday my new name for Gatsby, he's now the 'Lean Mean Shedding Machine' I have no idea where this came from but it popped in to my head yesterday when I was grooming him and I said it to my dad and we both thought that it was pretty funny. He's shedding so much so quickly, when I was grooming him yesterday he had just got handfuls of hair falling out. I'll be glad when his shedding is done because I end up covered in it.  I also did not mention that my brother has got a new bike. Now when I say bike I mean a motor bike, he'd always said he wanted one and with Nan being ill it seemed like a logical idea to everyone in the family because it meant that he could get around places and my mum could stay in and look after my Nan. That was also another idea why a Mini was a good idea for me. On Friday he did his CBT which was just a one day thing so now he can drive on his own with L plates on. So he's really been enjoying doing that and en...

Results Day Repeatition

UPDATE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN POSTED ON THURSDAY BUT FOR SOME REASON IT SAVED TO DRAFTS AND NEVER GOT PUBLISHED SO HERE YOU ALL GO :) There are some days that I just hate and today is one of them after being nervous last night about my results day today I didn't sleep, then when I got up I was dreading getting them I didn't have a good feeling and I was right not to, once again I got a U on the re-take of my textiles exam. My textiles teacher thinks it's just because I'm not good at the exam technique because she knows I know the work but it doesn't make it any less disappointing! After that I came home and just slept because I didn't feel like doing anything, then I did some revision on the highway code when I woke up and went in to see how my Nan was doing and she seems to be a lot brighter, my sister then came over with her boyfriend and my nephew to visit my Nan so I got to play on the floor with Brody for a couple of hours, he then decided that he wan...

First day back at sixthform.

Hey Everybody! I'll start off by letting you all know that my nan is still in hospital, we were originally told the earliest that she would come home would be Wednesday (tomorrow) however this might not happen because she still hasn't had the Echo-cardiograph that she was supposed to have had two days ago! I haven't been to visit her since Sunday but both my mum and uncle have seen her every day since then. I think that she is feeling a bit better but am not entirely sure, fingers crossed she will be home soon though! Nan's even said 'I was supposed to go home last weekend, now it's next weekend. How many more weekends will they add in'. I do feel really sorry for her as she hates hospitals and was told that it would only be the weekend and obviously things are getting changed. Today was my first day back in school since before half term it was a full day and I had all of my subjects, in English we have just started a new book called 'White Devi...

As Promised

Hey Guys as I promised an update :)  I'm still missing Gatsby like mad hate not being able to ride and hate not knowing where he is! Hoping my dad will be able to find out where he is some time soon! Well who else has been watching the olympics? It was dressage today that will be continued tomorrow morning, not everyone in my family is a huge riding fan like me, my nan who used to breed horses didn't even watch it! But my dad let me watch two hours of it here and there, and I loved it saw some gorgeous horses. Tomorrow the days kicking off with Zara Philips that will be a must see I think, as she isn't riding the famous Toy Town does anyone know who it is now?  How are all your countries doing? It's more dressage tomorrow followed by cross country in the afternoon I do believer though it could possible be show jumping Well today it's going to seem like I've done a lot but I have had a good day, even though I am aching a lot, it has been good. So this mo...

If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all, and bye bye Gatsby!

First of all I want to say sorry AGAIN, for not updating as often as I want too! I am going to try and update everyday from now on, even if they are only short one line things, but at least you will all know that I haven't disappeared off the planet of the earth!   Well I thought once I was out of hospital things were going to get better especially for my riding, I was starting to plan all the things that I wanted to do with him over the summer because I thought that he was going to be at Broomfield so that I could ride him, it was all planned, I wanted to work on riding with out stirrups and staying confident, and also on trying to get back to being able to ride Arthur without having any problems, well that can happen but my plan for Gatsby that's not going to happen! The day after or might have been two days after I was out of hospital I thought that I would go and see Lauren and say hello to Gatsby even if I couldn't ride him, not exactly much to ask for is it? The...

Finally updating you all about whats been going on

First of all i would like to say sorry to you all for not updating as frequently as I was doing I know i haven't been on a while, but do have a good reason. Well the past week has been rather hectic but I've decided to sit down with my laptop and update you all which could take quite a while. Back in April I started being extremely sick and this lasted for about 12 days, during which I had two anti-sickness injections and ever since then I've had good days and bad days where i start being sick and then the next day i will be fine again. Well not the monday just gone but two mondays before that I started being sick again! On the Thursday of that week I got put on a tablet called Nefapam, which unfortunately made things worse, is it caused me to not be able to sleep, and also to get horrible pins and needles all up and down my legs and arms. This lasted up until Sunday morning where my mum rang the out of hours doctors and I went to the walk-in clinic where all they told me...
hey guys sooo updating you on my life! not much is really happening im doing my art coursework the majority of the time which as you can probably imagine with a broken hand is not the easiest jobs and am spending a lot of time reading fanfictions (stories based on books that are already out but some of them are really good and they fill up time when theres not much else you can do) so my next theme for art is as my art teacher keeps saying 'afternoon tea' which is what it says looking at cupcakes and still life drawings which is something that i have never really done except when drawing flowers! Below is a picture of the cupcake that I have done and either in this post or my next post I will try and put a picture of the drawing of cupcakes on a cake stand that I have been working on all night. Cupcake cut out on the cricut ( take a look at my mums blog and see who she follows for more about what a cricut is ) i then empossed and debossed the broen and pink cupcake and st...
