Digging dogs, and chilled out ponies.

Well the past few days have been interesting to say the least. After our long walk with Magic on Thursday, we spent the day chilling out on Friday. We spent the morning playing games, and catching up on what was on T.V. before heading over to my mums with the dogs. While they spent a good few hours playing out in the garden, Jack and my mum made brownies, and I spoke to my dad for a bit. Before Jack and I then decided to fit our new speakers in our new car. It took us a while to do it but we managed it in the end. We then came home and chilled out, while Jack started playing our new game Mafia 3 I spent some time watching T.V.  Saturday was another quiet day,  I didn't see Magic today, as to be honest I was exhausted. He hadn't been in and he didn't need anything doing to his stable (I did check) so I left him out in the field with his friends for a few days. Today's been another quiet day, that is until I got back to the flat. Now as you'll know from the post ...

14. Not such a good day.

I'm exhausted so I'm going to warn you now that today has not been such a good day. I had good news from the hospital this afternoon after my tests for Addison disease last week the results have come back clear and they know that is not the problem. However I am now being sent for Mri scans on my bile duct and gallbladder, mainly to see if there are any stones or anything like that but just to rule things out as well. I also explained about my sleep pattern at the minute and they said that they think that I could be getting something called sleep apnea, I've never heard of it before so I'll have to do some research on it in the future but basically by the sounds of it, it is when your airways narrow when your asleep and basically you stop breathing when your asleep. I then wake myself up because I know something isn't right and this is what is causing (possibly anyway) my messed up sleep pattern. So at some point I while be going to see a consultant that just specia...

22 Days Old.

Today my mum, Jack and I went to see Magic. It's a long drive so I only get to go every now and then, sort of once a week. He's growing loads, I am amazed by how quickly he's growing to be honest, I think he's going to be a big boy once he gets older. He's also really curious, every time I go and see him he's more and more interested in what I am doing and what I've got with me and it's just so much fun to watch him. The first time that I went to see him he wouldn't come anywhere near me, the next time he let me touch his nose, the time after that he let me stroke his back but then he would run away after. But today I decided to go with a different strategy, the weather was quite hot, so I chilled in the field, I just went there and switched between lying down in the field and sitting there, and that caught Magic's interest, he wanted to know what I was doing. Then after Jack had given Magic's mum a groom, and I'd given her some fuss, he...

Updates

Well I figured while I was dog sitting what better time to update my blog? For those that have me on Facebook you'll know that I haven't been very well recently, exactly a week ago I was in hospital and on Morphine, unable to eat or drink without throwing up everywhere, with a high temperature and extremely bad stomach cramps. The hospital couldn't tell me what was causing the pain but have told me to take it easy and not do a lot. So for the past week I've pretty much been bed bound or when I do go out not going very far. But I have had my amazing boyfriend looking after me, honestly he's been great, he knows how to deal with me when I'm ill but also knows how to kick my ass in to gear when it needs it, and my mum who has also been amazing, she's had to put up with my bad moods and hasn't even complained. So as I know you read this. Thanks mum! I haven't rode in over a week because I should have had my lesson yesterday but unfortunately I just wasn...

Trips out for Lunch and Acrylic Nails

hey y'all.  Today has been a fairly uneventful day but its also been a really good day. I've been able to catch up on some sleep as well as having some just me time. I got woken up this morning by my phone ringing, at first I just wanted to roll over and not look at it but then I realised that it could be Jack so that soon kicked my ass in to gear to answer the phone. It's a good job I did as well because it was Jack that was ringing me. I miss him like mad so being able to talk to him was great and he says he's going to try and ring me tomorrow.  Then when I got off the phone with him I bought the post in to my mum, as only the day before  I had got something in the post from him at his mums address I wasn't expecting a letter in the post from him today so that was a pleasant surprise. I'm definitely going to have to keep a better look out on the post because I can imagine that I'm going to be hearing from him lots.  After this my mum went in t...

a series of unfortunate events

Today has been a quiet day for me to just take things easy. I woke up feeling quite tired and aching for some reason but didn't think anything of it. Jack came to keep me company for the day and it turns out it's a good job that he did because my dad and mum both ended up out all day so I would have been in the house all day on my own. While he was here we watched some films and we both decided we think that I am coming down with something as I felt really cold but he said that I felt really warm. Picture from the other day :)   My dad and ended up out for the day at hospital with his friends wife as she couldn't drive. She'd been getting head aches for a while and had gone to see her doctor who told her that she needed to go to the hospital straight away because she might lose the sight in her eye.  My mum also ended up in the hospital but for a completely different reason. Yesterday my sister went out after she had dropped my nephew off at nursery. When s...

soft play centre and Module two

Today has been another good but long day, with my student loan now being in my bank account I decided that I would have a McDonald's breakfast because I haven't had one in ages so I got up to do that this morning. Then at lunch time my mum and I were meeting up with my nephew and sister to go to a soft play centre, we had our fair share of fun and running all over the place, it was really good.  This afternoon I had my first lesson on my second module, a module that looks at different styles of art work, this module has more drawing in it than the other one that we have been given so far. Part of me really likes this but I'm also slightly apprehensive about it as well as there is quite a lot of work to do with drawing the human body something that I'm not very good at but we will soon see how it goes.  Until next time  A Girl With A Dream

Walks, talks and relaxation.

After receiving my iMac this morning. My mum and I were sitting in my room when my dad asked if I would like to go for a walk. So we went on the same work that we went on yesterday. It really is a lovely walk and the great thing about is that it is underneath a canopy (not sure of that's the right word) of trees, so even when the sun is shining it never gets too hot. We have decided that we think that the walk is about 30-40 minutes long and is between 1 and 2 miles, The animals were all out in the fields again but I forgot to get any photographs for you guys.  When we had finished the walk we sat talking for a while before I drove my dad to the hospital for him to get some blood tests done. Then we drove back and I spent some more time chilling getting to know my mac a bit more. I can not wait to start University, I'm going to learn so much and be able to build on skills that I already have. As well as develop knew skills, I love the fact that by doing a foundation year...

And Now It's Time for sleep, also check out Amy's blog.

First of all  I would like to say that if you haven't already you should head over and read Slow and Steady wins the race . I love reading Amy's blog and the adventures that she has with Steady! Her blog is great fun and when she reaches 100 followers is going to hold a contest, so head over there now!  Today I went out and did some driving practice around the area that I a going to be doing my test, as it is less than a month until I will be doing my test! In fact I think that it is only two weeks away. Time seems to be flying past so fast at the minute. Before I went for my drive I helped my mum to trim our dog. We have a lovely Shih Tzu called Angel and when she was a puppy we first took her to someone who was a dog groomer and we ended up leaving with Angel half done so ever since then my mum has been trimming the dog, the only problem is Angel just doesn't like it. So we have to bribe her to sit nicely for mum to do the job. Then I've spent the rest of the aft...

1 more sleep to go

Today had been a day where I haven't done a lot but feel completely exhausted. This morning I woke up far too early for me, normally I sleep until later on but for some reason my brain had decided that this was not going to be the case today, so I got up and dressed and watched T.V. for a while. Around lunch time my brother and his friend got up and I drove them to the gym then I came home. Later on I went to pick them up from town and when I got in I took my dad for a drive. Now I LOVE driving but my Dad always said that he would only get in a car with me after I passed my test but this rule got ignored and he's been out with me twice and both times he gave me constructive criticism  that I think will help to improve my driving. It also helped because I was trying to get everything out so it was a bit like being on my driving test. When we got in the guy that was coming to look at our trees turned up (he only ended up being two and a half hours late). One of the trees tha...

A day out with my mum

Well my mum and I didn't get to do what we planned to do. Months ago in a horse and rider magazine I saw an advert for Cavendish Horses at Bolsover Castle, when I saw it I said I wanted to go but I forgot about it until today. My mum agreed that she'd take me and we got there for them to tell us that they had sold out of tickets for the day, but we could still go look at the castle if we wanted to. I said no thanks because old buildings don't interest me. So instead we went to Mcdonalds to get something to eat as neither of us had anything all day and when we had done there we went to go to Chatsworth house with the intention that we would see all the deer out grazing but when we got there they were across the other side of the river and couldn't be seen anywhere. So mum surprised me by taking me to the Horse and Carriage Museum in Darley Dale, we got there one minute after they had closed. So instead I spent time taking pictures of the horses out in the field. It ...

A more up to date post about the goings on at the minute!

Today has been a good day. This morning I managed to get a lie in after going to sleep really early last night. My dad got back from Norfolk at about Lunch time today so my brother and I helped him to unload all the boxes from it this morning. We then took the van back and my dad and I went to see how a friend of ours E-type is doing then we went to the pub for a quiet drink.  This afternoon I was at the dentist again, for as long as I can remember I have had a fear of needles, and four months ago it was agreed that they would refer me to a hospital to get my teeth sorted under sedation. Unfortunately they have now decided they can't do it. So my dentist has agreed that every friday when he should normally be shut he will spend an hour after work has finished getting me the work done, using bubble gum cream and then doing the injection later on. We managed to get two things sorted out while I was there today and I will go back again a week today. We have soon realised that the...

A short note.

Well the dentist went better than I thought it was going to be, my dentist is great and is really looking after me, after the problems that I have had with his new employee. He's agreed that we will do it slowly a little bit at a time over a few weeks because the other dentist has left it far too long. I also found out that I was right and I have got two wisdom teeth that are through/coming through. This afternoon my mum took me to my favourite pub because I've had more bad news todo with my car but I will post about that tomorrow. I love this particular pub because it also sells teddy bears and I've got a bear from most of the times I've been there. Today my mum got me a fluffy dog called 'Boo'. Until Next Time A Girl With A Dream

Some more exciting news for me :D

On October the 20th I will be going to see Carl Hester, Charlotte Dujardin and Richard Davidson. Those of you that have been following my blog will know that Carl Hester is my all time favourite rider he amazes me. I've seen him once before when I saw the Spanish Riding School and have said that I would love to see him again.  This started yesterday when Fiona told me to imagine how Carl Hester looks when he's riding as I was having some outline issues she then asked me if I wanted to see him to which I answered yes! So she told me that I could go with her and Elaine on the 20th October this earned an immediate yes from me and then a yes from my mum to! I'm so excited to see three amazing riders that hold so much talent that I can only hope to be like one day. I truly LOVE the experiences that I am getting at the minute and I know that they are going to help me progress with my riding as my riding is the consistent thing in my life.  Today I've had a really laz...

The heatwave continues.

Anyone who lives in the UK will know that when the word 'summer' starts being used that we are going to get cold and wet weather! Well not this year for the past two weeks we have had really hot weather (well hot for here ranging from the mid 20's all the way unto 32degrees/89.6 Fahrenheit). Today was no change, when I first woke up this morning I as covered in sweat and I'd not even been under my covers all night. I got to riding for 12:30 like normal and instantly realised that it was going to be a hot uncomfortable ride, we were riding at what should have been the hottest time of the day. Immediately we said that we wouldn't do a lot of fast work (no canter and small amounts of trot) as we are not used to the height and more importantly the horses are not used to the heat. I rode Gatsby like normal and JaimieLeigh rode Rascal. I started grooming him making sure not to miss anywhere but to stay cool as well. I finished grooming him earlier so I looked at some...

If only I could sleep 24/7

Now that I have left school I am getting up earlier than I ever had done before, but early mornings mean a reduction in the amount of time that I get to spend sleeping. Don't get me wrong I love spending time doing the things that I am doing but I also love spending time sleeping. Tomorrow I have the third earlier start that I've had in just over a week, I will be getting up between 5:30 and 5:45 to leave my house at 6am with Dean and Sue to go for a trip to Skegness. Since the beginning of the year we have been planning this trip and my mum has planned to have the day out tomorrow so we decided that there was no time like the present! I am hoping that we are going to have some really nice weather!  As I knew that I was going to be up early tomorrow morning I have spent the day chilling and doing some reading. My mum and I decided that we were going to go swimming in the evening as we hadn't been in a while, but when we got there we were told that we couldn't swim ...

Clipping Angel

This is a quick post of something that I thought would make you all laugh. As you will all know we have a Shih Tzu puppy called Angel, we inherited her from my sister who didn't have the time to give Angel the attention she deserved, so while we never planned on having a Shih Tzu we did get one!  Shih Tzu's come with two different types of coats matt haired and silky haired. Here comes the difference with Angel, Angel has both meaning that she knots easily and quickly. When we first got her we tried taking her to a dog groomer, but she had a bad experience there and ever since that has hated being bathed, clipped or brushed meaning that trying to keep her knot free is hard work!  Recently my mum bought a new pair of clippers, in the morning she clipped the majority of Angel but was struggling with her ears, so left her alone for it then we came back to ear later. Because of Angel having two coat types it means that her ears get matted easily basically turning them in ...

Liebster Blog Award - Take Two

First of all I would like to say a huge thank you to  Marissa at a Horseshoes and Hearts Blog , I love reading her blog and if you aren't following her then head over and check her out! She has a good way of writing. I also got nominated for this earlier so you can go to  this page  to see my 11 random Facts and also the blogs that I nominated. Now on to the questions, I love answering these I find that they are a great way for everyone to learn more about me!  1) What is you biggest accomplishment with horses? For those of you that have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I had a bad fall off another horse and almost broke my shoulder and collar bone. After that I still enjoyed my riding but Iw as more nervous about it. My biggest accomplishment is the fact that on Gatsby I can now canter without worrying! I've even started jumping again!  2) Do you have any hobbies apart from horses that you love?  Good question! I used ...

Blackpool post - pictures included

This morning I got a lie in after my early morning and late night yesterday. The journey to Blackpool was longer than I thought that it was going to be, I thought I'd be able to fall asleep on the way there but there was no such luck!  When we got there we had a look in the hotel that Hannah (my brother's Girlfriend) was staying at, it was nice and small and a had a great view of the sea it was lovely. When we'd had a look we started making the walk to the other end of the promenade towards were the fairs were and Pleasure Beach. We got up to the Blackpool Tower, originally I said that I wasn't going to go all the way to the top because I'm one of those people that just do not like heights. However I did go to the top and I'm glad I did as the view was lovely, it was all enclosed so it didn't bother me too much, except at one point where there was a glass floor that you could stand on my mum and I didn't like the look of it but my brother did and so...

308th Post

Todays been a bit of a boring day so there is not much for me to tell you guys! However I have now reached 300 posts, something that I never thought I would do so that's really exciting! I'm thinking about doing a competition but having no money and being a student I don't know what I could offer you guys!  This morning I woke up early for some reason ever since I left school I've been getting up earlier than when I was at school. My brothers phone was supposed to come back today, so my mum and I couldn't go out anywhere. We waited in all day then at about 1:00pm our neighbour from across the road came over to say that he had go t a piece of paper saying they tried to deliver my brothers phone but no-one was in. Not only was it the wrong address but he was in all day as well. We then rang up and my mum said she wanted the phone today, not tomorrow, today! She got told that she was being unreasonable as the delivery person had already tried to deliver it, she th...
