No Riding Today :(

Well today has been a long day and also a kind of boring day. I haven't been able to go riding today, unfortunately we have been given some really bad weather and today did not let down. When I got in last night at about 7pm I knew that the weather was not going to be good, the wind was getting worse and worse and when I was driving there was lots of branches and assorts all over the road. When I was say watching T.V. with my mum and dad you could hear the wind outside over the T.V. and this carried on all night.  When I woke up this morning the weather had not got any better in fact if it had got worse, the wind was getting stronger and faster and it was dropping colder. Fiona decided that the wind was getting to strong and so she cancelled the lessons, however I am going up on Monday and if the weather is okay she says that I can ride Vettie. Vettie and I on one of our first lessons, my position is awful here and is loads better now.  Tomorrow I am off to see Ja...

Christmas Presents '14.

So Christmas is now over for another year, but I decided that I would let all my amazing followers see what I got for Christmas this year. There are other things that I haven't put on here that I've not got around to photographing yet like my wicked necklace off Jacks family :) it's a locket with three charms in it, a unicorns head, a pegasus and a glittery heart. I also got money that will be going towards my horse fund, slowly but surely I will get there!  The biggest surprise for me this christmas was my new lights to use with my photography. I hadn't been expecting them at all, they came with two umbrellas. One is a silver reflective umbrella, this gives more focused areas of lighting and the other is a white umbrella, that gives a broader area of light which is much softer.  Quick Selfie taken using my new lights and my phone, not to bad if I do say so myself, this used the reflective umbrella in front of me (face on) and the see through white umbrella by...

Another good ride on Gatsby :D

well it's been a few days since i've updated so i thought i'd let you  know about my lesson with Gatsby on Saturday (i have videos but they won't be in this post because I need to upload them and put them on youtube and that could take quite a while).  I started off working with flat length stirrups, Gatsby was forward responsive and nice off my leg, he felt amazing and we were getting the outline again, i then moved on to doing some trot work. In the trot i made sure that he was nice and stretched before asking him to collect and come in to the outline. We started warming up over three trot poles, in trot. I then asked if we could do the exercise where we trot over the poles, ask for the canter and do a 20m circle and then trot just before the canter poles. Fiona said that we could do it and it felt good, all though Gatsby got a bit excited and ended up turning the trot poles in to canter poles. He really collected his stride and we didn't even touch the poles...

M.I.A

Sorry I've not posted in a few days guys, things have just been really hectic with my university deadline (tomorrow) and things getting changed at the last minute! I will be back to posting regularly tomorrow :D. I had a really good morning at my stables yesterday I was there for nearly four hours and I just had a proper laugh and giggle with Elaine, while doing the yard jobs. I always love my time at the stables, but here's my plans for the weekend.  Friday (tomorrow) - meeting with Jacks mum then we are going out for the evening. We're spending the day getting ready and doing some jobs. Then going out to her works christmas do which is motown themed.  Saturday - Stables!!! Now my uni deadline is out of the way I'm going up for my lesson and we are jumping then I am staying up and helping out. Then in the evening I am meeting up with Charmaine for the last time before she goes home for christmas.  Sunday - I get to see Jack, because I went on my own last t...

Seeing Jack and another good ride on Gatsby.

I rode Gatsby yesterday (Saturday) and we had a really really good lesson! It would appear that last weeks riding wasn't just a fluke and that I can actually ride in an outline for an hour twice in a row! Can I make it three times though? It has taken me 3 years (roughly) riding at this stables that I am at now to get the feel of the outline and now that I have got the feeling it just makes so much more sense!  We started up warming up in the walk, making sure to move long and low, making sure that I rode off the track and making sure that I was riding straight. I had to make sure that Gatsby's neck was not overly bent to the inside because he was trying to pull on my right rein to block my contact with it. I have to give him credit that once I got him listening he was very good and very responsive. We moved up in to the walk work quite early as Gatsby felt really nice supple and loose through his back, he was responsive, forward and listening to what I wanted! Straight a...

bit of a catch up :)

Hiya guys,  Well tomorrow I get to go and see Jack again and I can't wait. you'll all know that he was originally in Portland young offenders well he has now moved a little bit closer to home and is in one in wolverhampton! I get to see him Saturday and Sunday again but the advantage is that I don't have to sit in a car five hours there and five hours back, and I get to come home and sleep in my own bed after seeing him! The disadvantage is that I don't get to go to Enzo's Italian which is a really nice restaurant in Weymouth!  Now on to the riding front. Gatsby and I are doing great, we now have a jumping lesson on a monday every other week and flat lesson or pole work every saturday :D. It's building my stamina up loads more and we're getting a lot further with our jumping so it's really nice. Gatsby has finally got his own made to fit saddle to! I rode him in it on Saturday and it felt great, he was much happier over his back and a lot more w...

seeing jack tomorrow

well there's no updates on the riding front as I haven't been at my stables since Monday evening but tomorrow I get to see jack and I am buzzing! While it means that I am going to miss my weekly horse  riding lesson I get to see my man and I can't wait for that.  I also thought I'd update you on the fact that I am officially a cripple again for the next two weeks at least I had to go back to A&E last night because my hand was KILLING me! They took it out of a splint and straight away put it in a plaster cast, it'll be in this for the next two weeks and then they will tell me what's going to happen. It'll be re xrayed then they'll either put it in another cast, splint it again or just leave it back to normal but it all depends on what the X-ray tells them when I have it. At the minute I don't know what this means on the horse riding front or what I'll be able to do all I do know is that it's incredibly painful still and I'll be gl...

236 - Catch up post

So this time last week I was lying in bed in a hotel looking forward to seeing Jack, I was super excited and couldn't wait to see him. Then I saw him on both Saturday and Sunday which was really nice, I just loved it. We got to chat about all sorts and I got lots of cuddles and kisses which made me smile, and got to hear him say that he loved me again. It seemed like ages since I had heard that. We had a giggle and just talked about everything that was going on. It was amazing but it just sees like forever until I'm going to see him again. I miss him like mad and it still doesn't feel like normal him not being here but I suppose it never will. Leaving on Sunday was hard neither of us really wanted to go or say good bye so it wasn't the easiest thing that I have ever had to do. But we managed it and in the end I think that this will make us a lot stronger but only time will tell. I haven't heard from him since I've seen him so I'm hoping that he's doing ...

243 - Just a Quickie

Hiya Guys,  This is just a quick post from me as it's 1am and I am finally starting to feel tired. I don't know whether I  ever told you that I had got to do some referral work because I had missed my deadline for one of my modules and that if I didn't pass this module I wouldn't be able to keep on doing my course? Well if I didn't I have done now. The deadline for the referral work was monday the 16th of June. However I have decided that I was going to get it handed all in today so that I can just enjoy my weekend with my mum and also seeing jack. So I wouldn't have to be worrying about whether or not I had got it finished. Well I've just uploaded my final piece of coursework, after checking it for plagiarism and coming back with a score of 1% on one and 3% on the other. I then also had a power point to upload and now all I can do is sit around and wait for my uni results to come in. I've emailed the tutor in control of this module to let him know ...

260 - Phone chaos

Today has been a long day. I woke up this morning with the plan to sell my old I phone (which eventually I managed to do), get a contract upgraded to the HTC One in Champagne/gold colour (which eventually we managed) and go and see Dean in Hospital (which we didn't manage). So I'm going to go and see him one day later in the week, maybe Thursday because Friday is own a pony day, Saturday I help at the stables all day, Sundays I tend to not do a lot and then it's the end of the week.  I finally have a phone that I can charge in my house as well, I can't remember if I told you but I got the Sony Xperia Z1 in March. About a month if not longer ago it started only being able to be charged on my car phone charger (it wouldn't work off the mains socket or off my laptop), I know weird right? So today I managed to get the HTC One in a metallic gold colour. It's a lot lighter than my Sony Xperia and so far I'm loving it! I've moved all my pictures across fr...
