lunging, long reining and a trip to the doctors (again)!

Well today has been a bit better and a bit worse, now I know that probably sounds like a complete contradiction but it's definitely how I'm feeling. I woke up this morning and still felt awful so chose to go back to sleep. My mum said that she would do Magic for me but I still wanted to go and see him. Mum said that I was to take it easy and not do to much so while she was starting doing his stable, I decided to start off by brushing him. But then I decided that we would try and do some work so I spent some time giving him some fuss before putting all his tack/equipment back on, we then spent four and half minutes lunging to the right and then four and a half minutes to the left. It took me a while to get him to be calm and relaxed but this was due to the fact that he was quite excitable today, he was a bit all over the place but we still managed to get some nice work together. We did walk and trot in both directions, I tried to ask for the canter but that wasn't happening...

62. Major catch up time!

Well I think that I am on the right day of the year but a combination of major tooth ache and just being in quite a lot of pain/sleepy means that my brain really isn't with it today. But here's my catch up for all you lovely readers. Oh and I might even share some super cute photographs with you guys too, but you'll just have to carry on reading to see.  23rd February - Jack passed his driving test, I'd been nervous and on edge all day but knew that he'd be able to do it! He tried coming back and doing the whole 'I failed' then telling me the truth scenario, but I ran up to the car and caught him off guard so he had no choice but to admit to me that he had passed! That night we went out for a drive and to see a few friends that we hadn't really seen since I had lost my licence.  24th February - Today was a HORRIBLE day, the first part of it was okay we were just chilling with Jack's older brother Josh, we'd gone to see Magic (who always ...

41. Baby steps = a huge improvement

We did it and today Magic and I had a great breakthrough.  I did magic this morning, and gave him some fuss while making sure that he had got a really big bed as the weather is still very unpredictable at the moment. While I did this my mum gave him a brush and made him look all pretty,  I hate it when he looks scruffy lol my ocd comes in to play and I just have to make him look the best that I know that I can do. I can't wait to be able to give him a proper bath and see him all gleaming and sparkling. I know he won't stay like that but it will look good at the time. Then I did a few jobs out and about before coming home. I'd got some post when I had got in and it was my assessment for fitness to work at the moment, I found it so hard to fill in because my illness varies from day to day so I couldn't give them a simple yes or no answer. It took my all afternoon to fill it in and by the time that it was done i was so glad. I then spoke to the person that was supposed t...

39. Testing day

Today has been a testing day it's been hard work tiring, a big fuck up (excuse the langauge) but I am so glad it's over with. I didn't sleep well last night but I got up at 8.1pam  to do magic. While I was doing his stable my mum and jack went to pick up some of jacka brothers stuff from his mum's house and thought that we were going to be dropping Josh off in matlock. When we got to matlock though we soon found out that the plans gad changed and he'd decided to stay where he was. Which aggravated me a bit as I had rushed to do magic but I wasn't really bothered because it was one less job to do.  I then had to go to the dentist (I hate them), and while I was on the way there I recieved a phone call from provation staying basically I was in major shit. My doctors had messed me about and decided to change my sick note without even telling me so they were then telling me that if I didn't turn up on Friday to do the unpaid work that at the moment I am to ill to...

Finally got my car back!

For the past few days it was thought that I would get my car back today, but I didn't want to blog about it incase I jinxed everything. My uncle and mum took me to get it and then when my uncle was driving back my mum and I drove back in my mini. We went the countryside root back and it was really nice. The car felt a million times better but then it should do after having £3200 roughly worth of work done to it. Tomorrow I will go in to more detail about the things that it's had done to it but for tonight I am just so happy to have it back. It took me two hours to drive it back from Stoke (should have only taken 1) then I went out again in it this evening for a couple of hours. The things that I noticed immediately was that the engine was a hell of a lot quieter, it was almost purring and sounded so nice. The steering was a lot lighter, and it all felt a lot smoother. The third thing that we noticed was that the brakes were a lot sharper, I literally tapped the brakes to ease ...

Who knows what the future will bring

Yesterday was a long day where everyone was running on high emotions not only was in on edge because of the things going on with my Nan but I also had to go and see the doctor for myself. Some how I have managed to get two ear infections in one ear and an ear infection building up in my other ear now I am prone to early infections so I wasn't really worried to start with however as it kept getting more painful and uncomfy i decided that it was time to go and see my doctor so I have got to have antibiotics as well as ear drops. This morning I drove to school and was buzzing about the fact that I drove without stalling. The school day was a long and fairly boring day I handed in two essays and got given another one to do. When I got home my sister had come to visit my nan even though all she is doing is sleeping. after this I took my car for a longer drive ans was really pleased with how my driving went. Tonight my nan has got a night sitter but my mums gut feeling is that m...

The end of the day and I'm one sleepy girl.

Chilled out day today. I got a lie in this morning as we were not doing the shopping until after the doctor had been. we thought he would be coming in at lunch time but he didn't come til around 1:30 which was fairly late for him. He didn't want to change any of the tablets that he has put her on as he didn't think that she had given them long enough for them to start working on her. Basically the problem is that her heart is failing. Nan's being having morphine as a relaxant and to help her breathing and she was working herself up about it because it is an addictive drug. But she has been told that the small dose and not frequent use of morphine isn't going to do anything to her other than make her feel better.  After this we had to do the shopping in less than an hour as my brother had git a hair dressing appointment. The supermarket was packed with old people and people that just wanted to stand in the way and then when asked to move got grumpy which was ann...

Relaxed Day.

Today I spent the day at home, I've not been sleeping very well recently so when I didn't get up early my mum let me sleep in for a bit. When I did get up I went to keep my Nan company for a while and wait with her until the Doctor came. When he came he told us that until next week at the earliest there is nothing that he can do because he couldn't even get a reading on her blood pressure, and her pulse was very weak to. Tomorrow my Nan's going to get her cast taken off so that should help her to do more things and while she is there she is going to be getting a chest X-Ray. So that our Doctor can figure out what he can to do to help her. But at the minute it doesn't look like there is a lot that he can do for her.  For a while I have been looking at Kindles and I've always liked the idea of a Kindle and my dad's got one. Tonight I decided to have a look at what tablets were out at the minute. As some of you will know I am blackberry addict. My phone...

Day out with friends

Today I went out with Dean and Sue, when I first met them I was working at a stables and used to lead Sue when she was having a lesson and we just got on really well, which was awesome and we have kept in contact ever since. Today we went out to look at some art things at the range, as well as things for the Garden and the house, and then went to this really nice fish and chip shop, it is lush! Then we went up through chatsworth to see the baby deer but they weren't out today, so we pulled up in a lay by and just sat and had a chat for a few hours. It was really fun and gave me a break from doing work. I always enjoy going out with them and because I've got two weeks off we're going to go out and do something next week as well.  Unfortunately I won't be having any Gatsby time tomorrow. I was originally going to be going up for 8:30 but then we realised that there would be no way for me to get back as my Uncle is a way on business, my Dad's at work and my Brothe...

Nan, nurses and an aching back.

The nurse came out to see nan again today because her mobility has gotten so bad that she can't even walk now, so me and mum have been pushing her around on a wheeled foot rest! It does the job for the time being but it is not the best solution, so when the nurse came out she agreed to get nan pressure release cushions and a mattress as well as a wheel chair to move nan around in. Unfortunately with Nan not feeling well and not being able to move herself around it has meant that mum or me or occasionally both of us are having to lift my nan up to move her, and while my nan's not the heaviest person in the world it really does make your arms/back ache and it is also really tiring.  Gatsby should have had his back looked at it today, so when I know how that went I will be sure to let you all know! It could also mean that Gatsby is getting a dressage saddle, so that will be quite interesting!  There's nothing else really to talk about so I am going to curl up and get ...

Long Tiring Day

I managed to find that I could change my template to a two column template instead of three column template and I have to say I much prefer the two column to the three, I think it gives the blog a better look and makes you look at the post more not what is on the rest of the page. Today has been a really tiring day and it's not that I have done a lot because in reality I haven't done a lot. When I got up my Mum and I put Jeremy Kyle on and I started doing some art work, I should have two A1 Sheets for tomorrow and I might have (if I do an artist study tonight) but it's more than likely that I will leave it at one sheet. Today the doctor and the district nurse came to see Nan and although she says that she feels rough to them she looks to be improving which is the most important thing, but as the do goes on she becomes harder to move, her breathing worsens and her speech becomes hard to hear. Tomorrow is a full day of school for me, I have english Literature first l...

New Look - New Year - A Tad Late!

Okay so this is a little bit late but I have been wanting to do it since the new year, with the new year been and gone I decided that it was time to give my blog a new look. I've spent so long looking for a blogger template that I really liked and I couldn't find any until I stumbled across this one by accident and I decided that I really liked it. I think the thing that I liked the most about this template is that I could put a slider in, so I chose four of the pictures I have of Gatsby and make them in to a slider, so all you need to do to look at them is click the green arrow that it shows. Let me know what you guys think. Also it means that my slider can change depending on the time of the year and that kind of the thing making my blog a bit more seasonal! I think the only thing that I would change would be that this is a three column template not a tow column template, does anyone know if there is a way to decrease the amount of columns from three down to two?   So f...

Glands like golf balls!

Today I decided seen as my throat wasn't getting any better and I was just starting to feel rougher and rougher that it was time to go to the doctors and see what they had got to say. The only appointment was at 4:10pm and my little brother needed picking up at 4pm, so my mum dropped me off at the doctors at roughly 3:50 and then went to wait for my brother and to hope that I had got seen by the time that she had come back, wrong! It was 4:25 before my doctor called for me and when he did, he asked what was wrong and I told him, then he asked if it was okay to look at the back of my throat he did the whole lollipop stick to push the tongue down to see the back of my throat and it looked clear, hmmm confusing! Then he went to feel my glands and all I heard was 'wow' and then 'does this hurt', so I said yeah it was uncomfortable and making me feel sick, next he said 'your gland is the size of a golf ball' well lovely! That is not what I wanted to know, he doe...
