Hide and seek with magic and a wish list

Hi y'all Well today has been a good day, I didn't get the world's best nights sleep but I managed to eventually sleep the whole morning away. Jack and I then went to my mums for lunch, every year my uncle and his girlfriend come down for an early Christmas lunch as they never come for christmas. So today was the day, we did the normal pleasantry conversations and talked about not a lot, but while it was good to see them he is also completely and utterly insane. After this we went to see magic moo.  Now my little man is a complete and utter nightmare at keeping his bed clean! Every night without fail he trashes it, and every day I'll think maybe tomorrow will be better but that day hasn't come yet. I put him two huge haynets up, cleaned all his bedding up and made him a nice big fluffy bed. I then sorted his tea ready for when I came in. Now normally when I am there magic will appear at some point so when he ddo not appear I decided to take a trek down the...

127. Horse filled day.

Today has been a really good day, even if I did wake up feeling like death warmed up. Unfortunately it feels like I have got tonsilitis again, it's the start of a new year and the start of a count down until I can get my tonsils taken out, but knowing my luck I won't have it enough times in a year.  But anyway I rode a new horse this morning, I'm sure in my posts somewhere I will have mentioned Stan Kelly's horse, well today I got to ride him. He's 17.2hh I think and 15 years old. He is lovely to ride. He is slightly similar to ride to Gatsby but in other ways he is completely different. He's a lot easier to get in to an outline than I expected, once you really sit in to his saddle, and sit in to him he drops down. The key to riding him was not to use a lot of hand although to make sure that I got him off the right rein as he likes to grab it and try and hold on to it. When i first started riding him I didn't think that he was going to be that easy, but...

BHS AND PONY CLUB

Well Monday was BHS and Pony Club night, I can see when I go back to Uni that Mondays will be my busiest day of the week but we will have to wait and see for that. At Pony Club we did about bandaging horses if they'd got a wound, we used bright coloured vet wrap and practiced on a horses leg. I got Gatsby and vet wrapped his leg in a turquoise/green colour. It looked quite cool and I think that the colour really suited him. We also looked at Tubby who did need his leg bandaging because he got in a fight with Alfie. I got the job of fetching Stan in, then when him and Tubby were in, I held Tubby while we cold hosed his leg, used Hibi scrub on it and then bandaged it up and I have to say that he was a very good patient he stood still and waited for it to be finished. He had a rather nice bright green bandage on by the time we were done.  At BHS we talked about several things the main topic of conversation was different types of bedding, e.g. sawdust, shavings, straw and pellets....

Catch up time Part One.

On Monday was the start of my second proper week at University. In the morning we had a lecture on colour. It was things that were quite simple to understand but at the same time could advance the way that we think about doing our particular work, whether it be art, fashion or photography. It was looking at things like advancing and receding colours, cool and warm colours and complementary.  In the afternoon there was a fair bit of sitting around as this week there was only one teacher when normally there would be two teachers. During this session Rodger came around every person in the group and talked to them about their work. Asking what their ideas were and where they would like to head with their final piece. Part of my work is photographs with drawings on the top of them so he suggested an artist that I could look at.  In the evening I had Pony Club, as the weather was still Sunny (although it did drop Chilly) we all sat outside and Fiona and Elaine showed us the...

Some serious Jumping fun!!

I love jumping and I've only recently realised it. I bet nobody saw that coming! Ever since I was little I had this image in my head of being able to get on and jump without having a care in the world and now I feel like I can do that!  Today was the last day of the summer holiday, it seems like this whole holiday has gone so fast and soon I'm going to be at Uni and back to being at the Stables less but I will still be there come rain, snow and sunshine! This morning we mucked out the stables and I put Gatsby some new bedding down I love the pelleted bedding that we use and being able to watch it expand. The morning seemed to fly by so fast, I did Gatsby and Fussy's stables, I was so proud of my bedding in Fussy's stable, I know that sounds silly but it was the best I'd ever got it, the banks looked good and it made me want to lie in it myself! When it got to lunch time Fiona told us that we were all going to have half an hour lesson on our own! My mind instant...
