I'm back for good!

Apologies for it being a while guys but I am now back and fully updating again! I've missed writing a blog and getting to know about all your lives to. So I am back and will be posting everyday no matter how short the post is. As quite a lot is going on I'm going to use bullet points to highlight the main things that are going on in both my personal life and my riding life so here goes guys enjoy :). Lots of pictures too!  Well the most recent update in my riding Career is that I fell off Gatsby. Yep you read that right after 3-4 years of riding the wonderful Gatsby I finally came off him. We got a bit over excited coming up to a jump and he over jumped it and took off way to early. Because of this I lost my balance (so it wasn't his fault) and ended up landing on the floor but hey at least it was dry!  I've started doing a lot more work with out stirrups, it took me a big leap of faith and of course riding Gatsby to be able to get the courage to be able to cant...

Seven Deadly Sins

Well today has been a long day, I have been doing some art work to give me a chance to start off well and get back on track, I got my exam paper on Friday and we had to pick one question out of I think it was 9 and one was the 'Impact Of Colour'. For those of you that no mean i just love bright colours especially pink! I then knew that I wanted to use a Japanese style of drawing called Manga, what I needed to figure out next was how am I going to do this? Hmmmmm. So for a while I sat thinking on Friday night about what colours are linked with, then it popped in to my head that each of the seven deadly sins has it's own colour. The next thing that I needed was a model to take pictures with Enter my Best friend Evie, She agreed to do it but said that we couldn't do it until this afternoon. When she arrived I had to think of how the photographs were going to work the First thing that we did was look up fancy dress shops, one problem, it's Sunday and they are all close...

Update

Well Jaimieleigh's mum has text me and I promised you that I would keep you updated, she was taken to hospital and has been x-rayed and checked out and she has no broken bones! so that's the good news, I'm so pleased that she hasn't done anything too bad. However they are keeping her in over night and her mum's going to let me know how she gets on. Think they are keeping her in to keep an eye on her incase she hit her head when she fell, it all happened so fast that I am not sure if she did.  Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dream :)

Equestrian is not a hobby it's a way of life.

That means the good times and the bad times for all of us, we don't pick when we don't and do want to be around are horses, its a lifestyle that we choose to live. From the first time I rode a horse as a little kid that was me captivated and it's been a life style choice ever since, it's a choice that I don't have to think about but it is a choice that as a rider I love. Today's lesson was eventful to say the least, I'm sure a lot of you will remember when I rode Gatsby at broomfield college, and he used to be so easy to canter, he'd love it and he would get so excited but for me it is something that I know I need to work on. I used to love cantering it was fun, fast and fantastic. It was thrilling and gave an adrenaline rush something that NOTHING can compare to it just is what it is. But after my fall off Arthur I haven't been as happy cantering as I used to be and in time I will make sure that I have my confidence back because it's someth...

Confidence.

Today I was reading a section in Horse and Rider magazine to do with a reader's confidence issue, it was in the 'Q&A' (question and answers) section below is what the article said the part in bold is the question in bold and italics is the answer so here goes;  'I was recently bucked off and tramples. I have now developed a fear of horses, although I would love to work in the equine industry, which has been a life-long dream of mine. How can I overcome my fear? '  ' A career with horses can be very rewarding, but it does carry risks and accepting the risk of injury is important as well as well as learning to stay as safe as possible. Understanding why your accident happened and why you horse bucked is important when trying to regain confidence. Bucking can be caused by a variety of things, including pain, excitement, poorly-fitting tack or a rider fault. I'd recommend enrolling on a course such as the BHS Horse Owner's Certificates, Stage E...

No one can teach riding so well as a horse

so today's been another long and tiring day, but lets just say nothing much has happened just been waiting and I think that is one of the most tiring things. Let's start at this morning! This morning mum woke me up to take me up to my riding college to get my riding jacket which I ended up leaving at Broomfield yesterday in all the stress and pain, and had tried to fetch it last night but by the time I had remembered the yard was all locked up so had to wait today! I had left it outside Arthur's stable and surprisingly it was still there so it also meant that I had time to say hello to Arthur and give him some fuss cause as much as I do not like him I wouldn't have liked to see him get hurt. He looked fine there was no cuts that I can see and his legs weren't bandaged but it was still time to fetch in the horses so there was no one on the yard that I was able to ask but I think that he is fine! Then my mum and I decided that it was best to get my hand checked as...

plaits, falls and a bruised/grazed shoulder

so as your guessing from the title of this post, its been a interesting day at the yard for the competition i got there at 9:30 to start getting Arthur ready for my test that was at 11:13 at least that what i thought was going to happen whoever said life was easy was deffo not telling the truth! Arthur's bum all plaited and pretty and looking good clean for once it makes a change! He was fine when it came to tacking him up and I even managed to stand behind him and get a picture of his bum butt if only it stayed that simple but it didnt! I tacked him up and things were going really well as much as I don't like him I thought things were actually going on him, He let me get on him, tighten his girth (thank god my stirrups were already long!) and start walking down towards the bottom school where I was going to be warming up! Arthur had other ideas, he heard an engine start up and it spooked him so he a u turn went straight in to canter, and starting going mad, I was holding...
