just a thought

I've just nicked this quote off ' behind the bit ' blog and its really got me thinking maybe it will you guys too but its just a thought  “Jessica loved everything about horses."  "She devoted her free time to watching horse movies, reading horse books, drawing horses, and writing stories about horses. We had promised her she could have her very own horse when she turned 10. She asked Santa for new cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat. She was a creative, beautiful little girl who loved playing with her little brothers, Travis and Shane. She spent time writing in her journals, making up stories, and doing “research” on orca whales – one of her passions after seeing the movie Free Willy last year. She said her dream was to see a real orca. Thankfully her dream was realized in October when she went to SeaWorld.  We can not imagine our life without her...We are devastated, and our hearts are with the other families who are grieving as we are.”

advice

This time next year I will have bought my own horse and will have so much more to tell you all, because I plan to keep writing on my blog, and letting you all know about the adventures that I am sure are to come. No-one said anything that was worth having in this life was easy to get, and that is one of the truest quotes that I think I've ever heard.  Today I downloaded and printed out off the BHS website 'Buying your own horse' it is a guide of things that you need to remember when buying your first horse. I thought that it was really useful and highly recommend it to anyone out there who is buying there first horse. So head over to the BHS website to have a look.  But I was wondering if any of you had any top tips about owning your first horse? Or the process of buying your first horse? I know it's not going to be a quick process and it's going to take time to find the right horse but I have every faith in myself that I can manage to find myself (with th...

Horse Thoughts and quotes

Dog washed, voice watched time to curl up on the sofa, while watching Planet Earth live and time for some horse thoughts 'To place your horse's need for you to let him leave his failing bod above your need to keep him with you... that... is the greatest and purest love.' This was said by Cynthia Garrett. (This quote really touched me because there comes a time where you need to say good bye and all though its hard it will be the best thing to do even though we know it will be hard). 'I've spent most of my life riding horses, the rest I've just wasted.' The author of this quote is unknown. (This quote made me smile because it made me think, if you aren't doing something that you enjoy then what's the point in doing it? Just a thought). 'A true horseman does not look at the horse with his eyes, he looks at his horse with his heart' unfortunately the author is this quote is also unknown. (I like this quote because its the truth of the m...
