The way to heaven is on horseback

Well it is just me again. Magic went out in the field all day today. When I got there this morning I was greeted with my boy saying hello and his head hanging out of the door. I did his foot and gave him some fuss before it was time for him to go out. Now normally magic is really good to go out, but the past twice he walks as if he wants to go out and then stop and just refuses to move. I have no idea why he does this but one thing I do not let him do is win. He's starting to try and push his look now and that is the lastr thing that I want to let him do. I changed his foot again this morning and he was great for that he stood nicely and calmly and just generally chilled out. Tonight I went to bring him in as he is a out all day and then in at night. He let me catch him first time and as soon as he saw or more heard me he came up to me. I rode Gatsby today for my weekly lesson and it was amazing. With everything that was going on last week I'd needed a week just me and Gatsby to chill out and do what we do best, being us. This week I was straight back to working him an outline and trying to work him in an outline at the canter as well. We are slowly progressing to be able to do it but that is the operative word, slowly. We will get there in the end. We warmed up in walk making sure that he was nice and warm, that his muscles were working and also to give me a feel of him working in his new bit (can't remember what he's got now, but when I can remember I'll let you guys know). He was really responsive and listening in this bit even if he did try to hang off my right side at times but plenty of half halts and flexion to the right soon managed to sort this out. Todays been a really good day for me, I was doubting my riding ability after the lesson that I had last week but I feel more confident that I can ride and I do know what I'm doing. I'm not going to go in to detail about my lesson in this post for two reasons one) I've not put the photo's on my camera two) I'm really tired at the minute.  This evening we had bonfire night in Duffield which I got free entry in to because I was marshalling for it which was really good. Today has been a good day, I got up fairly late and got to help my mum out while at the same time doing some driving practice. Which was fun and also really useful. As it's monday this evening was pony club, originally I thought that it was going to be quite quiet but I was wrong. There was three new girls there that seemed really nice and of varied ages. We spent a good hour looking at feeding rules and things to do with feeding, e.g. different types of feed, why some horses eat hay and others haylage, I did find it really interesting though at some points it also got really confusing. When it got to the end we all picked horses that we could put to bed, I was asked if I'd mind helping Grace as she had got one of the little boys and said no that I didn't mind, then Ellie also came down (one of the new girls) to help us. I found this fun to do but also really useful because it made me think more about the things that we do on a daily basis, I liked that they asked question...

Well my mum and I didn't get to do what we planned to do. Months ago in a horse and rider magazine I saw an advert for Cavendish Horses at Bolsover Castle, when I saw it I said I wanted to go but I forgot about it until today. My mum agreed that she'd take me and we got there for them to tell us that they had sold out of tickets for the day, but we could still go look at the castle if we wanted to. I said no thanks because old buildings don't interest me. So instead we went to Mcdonalds to get something to eat as neither of us had anything all day and when we had done there we went to go to Chatsworth house with the intention that we would see all the deer out grazing but when we got there they were across the other side of the river and couldn't be seen anywhere. So mum surprised me by taking me to the Horse and Carriage Museum in Darley Dale, we got there one minute after they had closed. Well today has been time for me to play with my camera as after my Interviews yesterday I felt really ill this morning and tired so had the day off school and tomorrow I am going back in to school as long as I am feeling better, which hopefully I will. It has been two days since I got my new Nikon 1 J2 in pink of course and boy have I fallen in love with that camera, it's so fun to use and has some amazing features but the best bit is it is sooo easy to use and get used to using. So today the Christmas decorations got put up it's a week til christmas and they are only just going up because my brother wanted to help put them up but my brother isn't in that often so finding time when he could put them up is pretty hard. Then tonight my sister was coming around so we had to tidy all the things up so that Brody who's just over one couldn't grab hold of them and put them where they are supposed to, he's starting to learn what no means though so we don't have...

so today I had my last two university interviews and I am so glad that they are over because before them even though I don't realise it I get worried/nervous/stressed about how they are going to go, and then after being all those things then normally happy at the end of the interview I feel completely shattered and so do I the next day!  The first interview was for the fine art photography, which was my least favourite of the two courses, but it was another course at Derby (the closest uni to me). However after the interview today even if I get a place on that particular course there is no way that I will be choosing it. To start with they looked at my work and then said to pick which my favourite pieces were and say why they were my favourite this was easy and I found okay, BUT then they started making me feel even more nervous and on edge. Well tomorrow I have got another university appointment except this one is going to be lasting all day so the decision is that I am taking my laptop with me as I could be waiting for ages to do an interview. As the interviews start at 2:00pm and go on to 5pm and we don't know whether or not I will be in the early part or the afternoon or what time, I have a feeling though that it will be towards the end of the day as my last name begins with a 'w' and I am going to assume that it will be done in alphabetical order, but that is the best guess that I have got. To get ready for tomorrow I had my nails done during lunch time and I love them, I had them done with Acrylic Extensions. Then i had a purple coloured tips with three white lines across the purple and the rest of the nail plain and natural there are pictures and I will put them at the end of this post.
