RESULTS DAY :D

After not sleeping all night last night, and waking up constantly, I found out at about 7:30 this morning that I HAVE GOT IN to Uni. So in September I will be a full time commercial photography student at Derby University. I was so worried about my exams and not getting the results that I wanted to get but I did get them. Out of my two subjects my strongest subject was going to be textiles or so I thought, but I was wrong, in English which I was most stressed about I managed to get a B! When I was predicted an E. I worked so hard to do what I wanted to do and get where I wanted and it seems like it's finally paid off!  Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dream

Pictures and Dentists TH

This was the drawing that I did on Gatsby showing the bones that he has. I never knew that horses have 18 ribs that is a lot of ribs. It was super fun and I think the look on my face say sit all.  This drawing on Gatsby isn't as good but it shows all the different Muscles (or at least some of them). It was fascinating to see both the muscles and the bones moving when lunging Gatsby I loved it.  This morning I had my referral dentist appointment to do with pulling a tooth out. When we got there we had a long wait and lots of paper work to fill in. The person seemed really nice and the colour scheme was black and pink (this was the first thing that I noticed). The dentist agreed with the work that needs doing and did an x-ray while I was there however he did get confused when it came to my medical history because of  how complex it is. When I'd had the x-ray all that was left to do was book the appointment to have the sedation for the work to be done. Bare in mind ...

Good news on a cold morning.

So as I am sure you all know today I went to Staffordshire University which is roughly a 50 minute drive from where I live in Derby, this was the first proper interview I had ever been to and it was the first University Interview I had ever done too. So to start with it was pretty nerve wracking because I do not like meeting new people and when I do meet new people I get really nervous and tend to go in to none stop talking mode. When we got to the university I registered that I was there and then me and mum sat waiting until someone came to get us and show us where to go. They took us over to a different building, where mum had to wait in the staff room while I went down for the interview. The interview was roughly 20 minutes and they asked me about why I wanted to do Photo Journalism and I said because I had always liked taking photographs, and I love English Literature as I do it at the minute for my A2 Level. They then asked to see my portfolio, I showed them some written work, my...

Textiles Images and general stuff.

Well today I decided that I would make a post during the day instead of my usual habit of waiting til 10 o'clock at night and then deciding that I want to start posting, because by that point I normally do not feel like posting anything.  So today my mum took me up to the Blue John mines jewellery shop at Castleton called 'Blue John Gem's' It's a really good shop and they sell all different stones these included, Amber, synthetic Opal, Blue John and Amethyst. With my name being Amber you can probably guess that I am always drawn to Amber, my mum's favourite tends to be Amethyst as her favourite colour is purple. I found myself a pair of not overly expensive dangly earrings (although it must have taken me over an hour to decide). My earrings are Silver and where they dangle it's a hoop and dangling inside the hoop is a piece of Amber. Also where the stud part of the earring is, it is a piece of Amber.  Close up of earrings :') Showing the ...

be child like not childish child like

paul smith Hey guys, sorry about the delay in updating it has been a pretty insane week, to say the least. After my fantastic ride on Gatsby on Saturday I was back up at broomfield on Sunday and was watching the open day which was amazing, I will post some of my favorite pictures from the day I took 250 so narrowing it down might be a little but hard but hey i will try to :P It was good seeing all the horses riding and then being able to give Gatsby some fuss too :') Then on Monday was a pretty boring day, back at school and we were just getting ready for meeting Paul Smith in textiles and other than that all we were doing was watching films, some which are weirder than others but was generally good, Tuesday bought on ART :'D which was good except Mr Davies was a bit of an idiot but hey what is different there? Wednesday night was more art, a lot more art, but it was good because he was in a better mood today and that obviously m...

going mad!

Today I slept up until 1:30pm after a rather rough nights sleep because of ache's and pains waking me up none stop! Took me forever to fall asleep but then did manage to sleep and mummy decided that it was best that I stayed asleep with having my textiles exam tomorrow, which involves two hours of both writing and drawing and I've got to manage to wash my hair some time tonight. Update for you all on how I am feeling slightly better, but deffo not 100% better. My head is still really hurting but i suppose that is to be expected with having a concussion and have been sick today as well. My hand is really saw and aching and feels exactly like it does when I broke it last time. Mum emailed my school teacher (head of sixth form) today to say that they might need to sort out special circumstances for my exam, and was expecting that I would get a fine that's what has been done! But Mrs Walton just replied and said that she would have to check whether i was allowed them or not...
