These things are sent to try us

I really feel like I am about to go mad! This year is not getting off to a great start and that is driving me mad, I blame jack for breaking a mirror on the second day of this year! only joking! Well I told you all about my issues with my house over the weekend, I emailed and said that these things needed to be resolved or environmental health would be getting involved, well yesterday morning I woke up to a email saying I was going to be handed my notice and would have to find somewhere else to live. This sent my head in to a bit of a whirl wind as I've been looking for months for somewhere else to live and nothing has come up. Then we found a lovely house that was literally round the corner from where we used to live in oakwood, it was clean tidy and soooo nice! I rang up this morning and applied for the house to get a phone call back this afternoon to tell me that the house had already been let to someone else. To say that I was gutted is an understatement! I've then spe...

Bad weather and our first spook.

Yesterday was a quiet day for Magic and myself, I wasn't feeling very well so I spent a quiet day at home and relaxed. We then had to go to the doctors for Jack's appointment to do with his eyes, and I have to say that it wasn't the most helpful of appointments. Before coming home and walking the dogs, then spending the evening in front of the T.V.  Below you will be able to see Magic and Brody working together, as you can tell both horse and small person where equally happy and both extremely excited. There was no harm done and both enjoyed it. Today has been a much more productive day, I had to be up at 8am this morning to go to see the physiotherapist. I was there for about 45 minutes and they came to the conclusion that the muscles from the middle of my back down and my thighs up are quite tight, so are the nerves. They think this is due to the fact that they are quiet weak, so gave me three exercises to do multiple times a day to relax the muscles but also to ...

So many new experiences and a Happy New Year.

Well magic is doing super well, yesterday we did some more ground work with him, starting to really build up the work that he's doing so that when it comes to the time to ride him there is a solid foundation for it in place. So we gave magic a fuss and a cuddle. Then went to work. We slowly placed his roller and his saddle pad over his back and then got to work on slowly doing it up, the idea was to gradually do it all up while giving him fuss so that he saw it as a rewarding thing and not a punishment or something that he does not do. We then walked out to the school and got to work on lunging, we started off on his bad rein (left rein) we did walk work and really built up the idea of getting him to lunge and stay out not fall in. We then added in a little bit of trot, not a lot but enough that he was experiencing something different. We lunged to the left for 3 mins 30 seconds. After this we stopped changed the rein and lunged to the right, this way he was much happier to pi...

48. I need to vent

Okay guys so I need some opinions but I also need to vent, so figured that here was the best place to do it as my facebook is being spied on so I can't really put on it what I want to put on it. But I'm keeping those certain people on there so they can see just how well my little boy is doing instead of constantly putting him down, and if they're reading this well tough. This is the only place I can really put what I am thinking and what I am feeling without being judged by social media, arghh the joys but back to the point.  The small minion with the massive baby!  Monday - As you'll know Magic was doing really well, he went in the school to let a little bit of steam off that evening and my little nephew came up to see him. So he was on his best behaviour. I trust that horse 100% and Brody (with me stood inbetween him and magic) even managed to lead him (holding the very end of the lead rope). I've got pictures that I will show you guys later on. In the sch...

First Day Complete

Today has been a good first day working at my stables, I'm getting paid £6 an hour, and working for two hours a morning, this morning I mucked out the boys stables, it's a row of five. I did everyone but Gatsbys because Gatsby's stable was completely and utterly ditched. So Fiona went out to get him some Aquamax bedding. Then I helped Fiona to bring the horses in. It was a really good morning and I felt loads better after being there and working. Just before I was about to leave fiona asked if it would be possible for me to work Thursday mornings as well, so tomorrow I am back at the stables again but this time it'll be from 8am until 10am. I'm getting paid weekly and all the money that I make is being saved up and going straight back in to my savings account. I'm loving spending so much time at the stables, I feel that it is helping to improve my health and help me lose weight.  Anyway I'm curled up in my bed with my nephew so I'm going to leave yo...

we have snow!

Well it's Boxing Day and today has been a really good day, as is tradition in our family my sister came over today with her partner and my little nephew for a meal and some awesome family time. She was on one but that is just what my sister is like she tends to go on one about lots of random different things.  We had no snow yesterday but today it HAS started snowing, people will know that I do not always have a good record with snow, I am very clumsy and always tend to fall over when it starts snowing, the last time we had snow I spent two full days looking for a miniature shetland pony that had gone missing (the pony was found safe and sound), before that it snowed and I tripped on a patch of Black Ice and broke my hand in three places. So it's safe to say when it starts snowing I start thinking 'OMG'. However this year I am looking forward to it because it would be an interesting time to take some wicked snow photographs. So tomorrow I am on a mission to get sno...

busy few days

I had another good morning at the stables this week it's been a busy week for my this week. So here's what I've been upto.  Monday - Day at my stables, I went up to my stables in the morning and helped out I spent about 3 hours there, then I went home and chilled out for a bit before going back for my jumping lesson. It was so good we did this really cool dog leg exercise that I have never done before and thought that I was going to really struggle with, to start with I wasn't being decisive enough. However once I decided that I wanted to do it, it went really well. We jumped small jumps all in canter though and landing on the right lead for the canter after the jump. It felt really nice and I was so happy with the work we did. Unfortunately it was dark so there is no videos' of this. It was then time for pony club, where we were riding again and I got to ride Vettie for 30 minutes. As you guys will know I've rode Vettie lots last winter and the beginning o...

253 - Catch Up Post

Sorry guys it's safe to say that I have been slacking for the past few days. Things have just been really busy so I will start with Last monday and go through til today (Tuesday). Last Monday was pony club evening. It was also a badge evening. Which was really exciting as we haven't done a badge in a while. This time it was the perfect paddock badge that we had to do.We had to be able to set a 'paddock' up in the school using poles to show where the fences would be. Jumping blocks represented the shelter, hay net obviously was hey and the water bucket was water. We also had to answer questions saying what shouldn't be in the field, what should be, if there's three horses in the field how many piles of hay should there be. Then we had to do the more obvious question which was list a load of poisonous plants.  Tuesday I spent the day with George. We didn't do much. I had tried to go with my mum to visit Dean and Sue in hospital but when we tried to go the...

A fun filled Day

Today has been a good productive day for me, I won't lie I woke up feeling awful and really just wanted to roll over and go back to sleep, but when I started University I decided I was going to try harder to control my stomach pains and not let them control me!  Random Picture of my sister and Brody from Tuesday nigh It also helped that I woke up to the surprise that my nephew would be at my house for the day, that means, cuddle time! I went with my mum to pick him up because my sister was feeling really poorly. He soon fell asleep in the car and only woke up because we had to move him from the car into the house. After he'd woken up he was soon happy to play with the Duplo/lego blocks and of course, cars, his favourite thing.  About 11:30 I had to leave to go in to Uni for an hour to have a group work check. We basically had to present our ideas to the group that we were put in. We then got feed back off the group and also feedback off Carl (lecturer/teacher). ...

Fireworks and website designs

Okay, I've got some serious catching up to do. I haven't been feeling 100% so I haven't been posting everyday of got the work done that I need to get done and then it's been time for me to sleep. This week I'm off self study time and back in my usual university routine. Today and yesterday I've spent some time with Charmaine in the darkrooms and we've got quite a bit of work done (I wrote a list and printed all the images on the list that I wanted to print). Yesterday was our annual family bonfire night we also gave Brody his presents as it was his second birthday on Saturday, doesn't time fly by! Then we had the fireworks, I always think that they are really pretty but my favourite part has to be the sparklers!  I love both of these photographs, I tried photographing fireworks last year and it didn't really work but this year it went a lot better and I am really happy with the outcome.  I've spent the majority of today just chill...

soft play centre and Module two

Today has been another good but long day, with my student loan now being in my bank account I decided that I would have a McDonald's breakfast because I haven't had one in ages so I got up to do that this morning. Then at lunch time my mum and I were meeting up with my nephew and sister to go to a soft play centre, we had our fair share of fun and running all over the place, it was really good.  This afternoon I had my first lesson on my second module, a module that looks at different styles of art work, this module has more drawing in it than the other one that we have been given so far. Part of me really likes this but I'm also slightly apprehensive about it as well as there is quite a lot of work to do with drawing the human body something that I'm not very good at but we will soon see how it goes.  Until next time  A Girl With A Dream

some much needed nephew time!

Today has been a long day,  this morning I picked up Spencer and Michael and we went to a Uni leaving kind of meeting.  It was nice to have one last get together before we all go our own seperate ways. It was a nice morning but a long morning to.  This evening my sister came around with Mick and Brody. To start with he seemed quite shy but then he was bouncing all over the place! He was so much fun and such great energy but he was also so tiring! I loved being able to spend time with him though it's something that I haven't been able to do for a while! I also was able to have a really nice chat with my sister.  This evening I went to the first youth group evening of the year and had a one on one chat with an old friend. A lot's happened between that two of us over the past few months. I might not agree with some of the things that she has done over the past few days but I do think that she is a good person.  Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dre...

Another day where not a lot was done!

Today has been another day where I haven't done a lot but feel completely knackered. This morning I went up to the stables, it was windy and wet but we still had a really good time. It sounds odd but I love mucking out stables I find it therapeutic and relaxing. It didn't even bother me that it was cold and raining.  When I had finished there I helped my mum and uncle do the super market shopping. After that I went to visit my sister, nephew and her partner. It was nice because I haven't seen her in a while and Brody was really nice and loving. He was active and so funny, he was running all over the place keeping us all busy. He always makes me smile because he loves sharing.  Then tomorrow I am riding again, I just love my horse time!  Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dream

Trip to the zoo

First of all I would like to say that my thoughts are with all the people that are being affected by wild fires, it's a hard time and I can't imagine how scary it must be but my thoughts are with you and I hope you can return to your homes soon!  Today I went out with Brody, My Sister and Mick to the zoo. I always love going there and I haven't been there since they have changed everything and moved all the animals around. I loved it, and the weather stayed nice for everything. My two favourite animals were inside so I didn't get to see them but  I liked seeing all the different animals, all the types of monkeys, the baby Gorilla. They were all so cute. My favourites are the two leopards, (that were not out), and my second favourites are the Elephants I used to love the giraffes to and was disappointed to see that they no longer had giraffes and that the camels were in there place! I also liked the new penguin walk way, which allows them to move around but the best...

Until Next Time A Girl With A Dream

A quick post.

Well today's post may end up as a bit of a rant about art. So nothing to do with horses will be in this post. so if you don't want to read it I completely understand that.  Today it has been confirmed that I am no longer doing my art a level course. Unfortunately the issue has not been able to he resolved and to carry on doing the course would stress me out to much and in turn would cause me to be ill. I can't go in to the situation completely because it is being looked into by my school so until that is done I am not really able to talk about it. While I agree that dropping my art is for the best it annoys me that I've spent a year working damn hard on an A Level that with 3 weeks til the end I am not going to be able to finish. It's basically letting my art teacher win but I'm just too tired to keep fighting with him.  This afternoon my sister came over for tea. Which means that I got to see my nephew which always makes me feel better. We had cuddles,...

A day at the stables

This morning was time for me to get up and early and go up to the stables to help out.  I had to be there for 8:30 and I was staying there til 10:30 we mucked out all the horses, cleaned there waters and put fresh in and then we filled the haynets and hung them up as well as filling the hay nets for tonight. when we had finished that we swept the yard and had finished 20 minutes early so I was talking to Elaine and Fiona about pony club. The launch day for pony club is Monday 29th April at 4;30 every 12 weeks there will be assessments towards badges. Well work through bronze the gold levels and then levels E to A and at either a or b we can do our stage three. Instead of having to do one, two and then three.  I can't wait to do it, I've sent my pony club form off today.  Mum picked me up at 10:30. we then had to go to the other side if derby to dressmaker about my sixth form ball dress. To start with she didn't think she could do anything but when looking inside and ...

Gatsby Time tomorrow, but today a not very interesting day!

This morning I was dead excited because I thought that my playbook was going to come, so I wasn't very happy when the post came and it wasn't there. Because it hadn't come I went to help my mum do the shopping then when we got back I went to see my nan for a bit and thought that I would look online and see when it was going to be delivered, well when I looked there was no sign of it. So mum rang Royal mail and they hadn't got it, there wasn't a phone number to ring the company that I got it from so it was just going to be a waiting game. However just now (10pm) I thought that I would check online and see if it showed up on Royal Mail and it does! So hopefully it should be coming tomorrow, one of the first thing that I am going to do is put the Kindle app on it, and maybe instagram! I know that it comes with a word on the go programme and things like this, so it's going to be fun playing with it and getting to look at it and know it better.  My sister was al...

Babysitting My Nephew

Well today has been a long day because I didn't get much sleep last night, but this morning I woke up to go and help my mum do the food shopping, and with it being Easter it was like going to a football match inside the supermarket! Normally when we pay it takes 5ish minutes to be able to start putting the food on the rail this time it took 15-20 minutes. Then when we got back, I played on a game on facebook and went out to do some jobs with my mum, including washing the car.  This evening I am babysitting for my nephew and am then going to be stopping for the night, as it was my sisters birthday yesterday, her boyfriend asked if I would babysit so that he could take her out for a meal. So they picked me up at five and then this evening when we got back we played some games, and ate pizza, lots of pizza, as well as breadsticks and celebrations! We took some photos and he decided that he liked my laptops webcam and thought it was funny trying to figure out how he was on the cam...
