The dreams finally becoming a reality.

Well it's been a while since I've posted on here so thought that I might as well update you guys on every things so here goes.  Magic comes on Saturday and I am buzzing, it's Thursday today and I am off to get his stable ready soon, I've got his bedding Aquamax based on the simple fact that I really like it and think that it looks nice and I am hoping that he'll like it too. I've brought his feed and I think pretty much everything else that he needs. So now all I need is him and I am absolutely BUZZING. He's the biggest foal that they have bred this year and so far he has had a nice temperament he hasn't done anything deliberately mean or hurtful he's just been a foal. For those of you that have got me on Facebook you'll have seen that he is also getting quite people friendly. But once he's delivered I'm sure I'm going to have lots more to tell you guys about so that means I should be back to posting everyday.  Secondly I...

Uni, Riding and Pony Club

Another eventful day has been had today but it ended in wicked horse time at the stables! What more could a girl ask for right?  Mondays means its a full day at uni followed by rushing to the stables and then chilling out. This afternoon I had my lesson on Gatsby where we worked on cantering and oh my god it was amazing. The transitions were not always the best but we are working on that, we cantered a lot, managing to go from one point to the next point without breaking from the canter. We did lots of circles and long side combinations and it felt so good! After the canter work that we did on saturday I was really really expecting my canter to be shocking today but I just managed to get on with it put saturday behind me and do what I do best, enjoy my time with a wonderful horse. We are also now getting to the point where I can work Gatsby in to an outline in-between the moments of canter that we are getting.  Then it was time for Pony Club, we started off the evenin...

serene sunday

Today has been a quieter day, I hadn't slept very well friday night and then was awake at a reasonable time yesterday morning, then I had a really busy day so I knew that by the time I got in and went to bed I was going to go to sleep well. I ended up sleeping really well last night and then over slept this morning. I had no plans for today so I've just had a peaceful day.  I've spent time catching up on everyones blogs, which I have loved doing. I have read a book from start to finish, if your interested in what book you can find it on the books I've read page. I've also come up with new ideas from my uni work. One of the modules that I have to do is a professional work place module, for this we have to find a client and do a paid shoot, or we can make it up and do it as a general idea. I had originally thought about finding a hair dresser to photograph her work however my friend came up with a good idea and said that she thought I would find it really fun. Ta...

248 - Picture Post - Chatsworth Horse Trials

I figured it had been a while since I had posted any of my Rosamber Photography photographs so here they are. Let me know what you all think and any criticism is fine with me, it all helps me to become a better photographer. Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dream

Fireworks and website designs

Okay, I've got some serious catching up to do. I haven't been feeling 100% so I haven't been posting everyday of got the work done that I need to get done and then it's been time for me to sleep. This week I'm off self study time and back in my usual university routine. Today and yesterday I've spent some time with Charmaine in the darkrooms and we've got quite a bit of work done (I wrote a list and printed all the images on the list that I wanted to print). Yesterday was our annual family bonfire night we also gave Brody his presents as it was his second birthday on Saturday, doesn't time fly by! Then we had the fireworks, I always think that they are really pretty but my favourite part has to be the sparklers!  I love both of these photographs, I tried photographing fireworks last year and it didn't really work but this year it went a lot better and I am really happy with the outcome.  I've spent the majority of today just chill...

Happy Birthday Nan

It's strange to think that today it's my nans birthday and that she's not here. I finished at Uni early today so planned to just go home and go back to sleep! What I didn't know was both my uncles, my sister and my nephew were going to be at my house and that they were all taking flowers to the church (forgot to mention mum and dad but they're always around! :P). So I went with my family to take flowers to the church for my nan. It's still weird that she's not around nagging me to keep my fringe out my eyes and stop straightening my hair 'cause I do prefer your natural hair'. Or asking about my riding because my nan was also really into horses. After that Martin (one of my mums oldest friends (I think, am I right mum?)) came around to our house for a bit to, so the house was fairly busy but the best bit was the fact that I got to have lots of cuddle times with my little man again! Yep, having my nephew around is always the highlight of my day. W...

Dentists, photography and shopping.

Today has been a quiet day for me. I got up this morning and went to help my mum do the shopping, I have Fridays off university so thought it would be nice to help my mum plus it was a job that I don't mind doing, although today it was really busy. Then I spent the afternoon playing on Harvest Moon DS, it's a game that I used to have and recently I've bought again.  Then at 4pm I had to go to the Dentist because as you all know I am due to have a tooth pulled out. Well the problem is that the tooth in question is becoming incredibly sensitive and painful, I can't eat on that side of my mouth or close my jaw properly. I'm on my third set of Anti-biotics or it might be fourth. I've had it refilled with medication three times and it just keeps getting worse.  After I had been to the dentist I went out with my mum to do some photography. There was a really weird lighting around where I live so I took the opportunity to take photos of the scenery and also to...

Opinions please!

Hey guys so I would like to ask you for some opinions! I am hoping to enter a photography competition soon, it's the first competition that I've really felt confident enough to enter my work in to. Here's the catch though I can only enter two photographs I've been able to narrow it down to five but now need to narrow it down to two. The objective for the photograph is a countryside seen of Derbyshire or Nottingham. So let me know what you guys think!  Choice one  Choice two Choice 3  Choice 4  Finally Choice 5 So let me know which one you guys like the most by commenting with two of the 'choices'. Today was my first university Field trip. To start off with it was cold, rainy and no one was really looking forward to it but then the day started to warm up and people started to wake up and it suddenly became more interesting! I loved the second part of the yorkshire sculpture part that we went to and think out of everything that we went ...

Officially enrolled on my course!

Today I officially enrolled on my university course so I got my student ID and card as well. In my mind I think it made it kind of more official and I really liked that. Then this afternoon I went to a lecture on how to use the online university mail system and also how to use my online resource type thing. We also had an introduction into using the 3D workshop so that eventually we will also be able to use woodwork and metal work equipment so that will be kind of cool.  Tomorrow I'm off to the yorkshire sculpture park.  Until Next Time  A Girl With A Dream

First few days of Uni and my Bronze Award Exam

Yesterday was my first proper day at University, everything seems so dream like at the minute! When we first got there we got told more information about the course that we are doing for me it's a foundation year in Art and Design followed by three years of Commercial photography. The great thing is there are also two other girls on my course that are doing the same as me, and the three of us are all getting along really well! Then we had a tour around the two parts of the campus that we are going to be using followed by a talk on what to do if you are poorly and can't' come in.  That evening I also had my Pony Club Bronze Award one and two test. I was nervous to start with but I knew that they were all things that I knew, or things that I do on a regular basis so I can do them without thinking about it. Then I got to put Gatsby to bed and rug him up for the night as the weather is turning cold and rainier. I passed both my one and two Bronze award. So Monday was a rea...
