So it's been such a LONG time since I have blogged and I really do miss it so much, I keep saying that I am going to get back in to it and I really do plan on doing this but with Magic being poorly and one thing after another, time just runs away with me. So first of all Merry christmas I hope that you all had a fantastic time!
Merry Christmas from my amazing little man and I.

So I got some amazing presents off my family they included, a framed clipping of Magic's hoof, from the first time that Magic was ever trimmed by the farrier! His feet were just so tiny. I got a lovely charm off my daddy for my pandora bracelet and two charms from my boyfriend he really did surprise me. He got me a pudsey charm that I have been wanting for a long time, and a charm that says 'home sweet home' and is a home, to represent our new home next year, but more to come on to that later! I also got a soda stream, socks, some beauty products, hand made by my mummy bean bags and dressing gown with AMAZING EMBRODIERY ON THEM! Honestly people you should see the things she makes and I can guarantee that you would want to buy them! She also made me two amazing dog beds to fit on my windowsill (where my dogs love to fit), that both my dogs and I ADORE! I really do have a very clever and talented mum.
My lovely clipping from magic's first time being trimmed

my pretty charms!

Finally my best christmas present was hearing that Magic's going to get better. The vets came out to see him on the 23rd December and are coming back on the 6th January, they said that he is looking 100 times better to them. He's still on the steroid, but it is slowly being reduced, he's still not allowed out. However we now have a plan, he has to have LOTS of controlled in hand walking, the plan is to get him off the steroid and continue his in hand walking, to make sure that when he's having exercise and not on any medication that the problem doesn't come back. If he stays looking 'fine' and happy then he will be moved on to being turned out, probably on for small amounts of time but building up to larger amounts of time. That was one of my best presents, cause my midnight magic really is my world.

In the new year there are going to be lots of changes, I'm not ready to post about them on here yet, but I will be doing soon, these changes are all for the good. However I have also had a big change to my riding career, i'll expand on it more another time, but for now I'll just say that i am unable to ride or see Gatsby any more! Don't worry nothing bad has happened to him he's still well and healthy but it was a big change that I did not see coming!

So for now I'm off to watch T.V. with my puppies as I'm feeling quite rough! Night y'all.

Until next time

Magic's update

wow it's been a long time since i've updated here, but I haven't forgotten all you guys! I also want to get back in to blogging as I haven't done it in a while.

So I'm going to start with an update on Magic, the quick summary is Magic's poorly. On the 15th November, I went up to check on him. He was lying in his stable and he couldn't get up, he could get his front legs up but not his back, eventually I got him up with the help of Jack. He came out of the stable hopping lame, I eventually managed to get him walking around the school and he was slightly weight bearing on his back legs. However when he was standing still he would hold one leg up, then switch to holding the other back leg up and he would just constantly do this. The vets came out and were completely baffled by him they put him on bute, and said to give him gentle turn out, so this is what he did but he didn't improve if anything he got worse.

Then he came in one day looking even worse, he had got no desire, he was even more tucked up, he'd had the course of bute he was supposed to have and for two or three days he looked fine and then out of no where he looked awful again, he was back to 'dancing' with his back legs. So the vets said put him back on bute and they'd come out to see him. So on the 28th November they came to see him again. This time we trotted him up in the school and he was just so painful, he posted positive to a right flexion test. They x-rayed his stifles and they showed up a slightly larger gap in the growth plate than is 'normal'. They did blood tests, and nerve blocked his right hoof, we waited and then trotted him up again and he showed absolutely no difference. The plan now was to keep him on bute, keep him turned out, and see what the blood tests results came back as. Friday the 2nd his blood test results came back and they were showing a slight inflamation, this we assumed was to do with his growth plates so he was put on box rest for two weeks, to go on bute twice a day and no turn out.

Now we come to the 6th December, I have to ring the vets again. Magic had been lying down in his stable while I wasn't there and lynn (yard owner) was, she watched him try to get up and all she could describe it as was 'heart breaking' he was like a foal that had just been born, he just couldn't get up at all. He eventually managed to get himself up but this was after hitting his head on the wall, cutting the top of his leg, he stood there and was just shaking for about half an hour. So I got there gave him his Bute, and made him a massive shavings bed. The vets came out watched him trot up again, felt him all over and said 'we don't know', he's not showing any signs of pain other than being tucked up and his dancing. He'll let the vets touch him everywhere. So he's had a steroid injection, is to be kept on box rest until further notice and been given sedaline to calm him down when in the stable.

Today I went to check on the munchkin and he looked so much better, my mum had sent videos and photo's of him to the vets and she rang up and said that to her he looks 100% better and she thinks that this is down to the steriod injection. So tonight he has had his last dose of bute, before on friday he'll go to orally having the steroid. One day next week the vet will be coming out to see one of the other horses so will cast a glance of magic to and we can then decide what to do with him and where we will go from here. He's still loving his fuss, loves being brushed and is such a good boy. He really is amazing, and he always gets brilliant compliments off the vets on how well behaved he is.

But that's my update on magic, tomorrow I will update you on everything else.

Until Next Time

Another couple of quiet days with my fur babies :)

The past two days have been even quieter. Monday I didn't do a lot, jack and I are working on our car at the moment, so we spent a good two hours tinting the windows while the dogs were running around in my mums garden. It took ages to get the back window right, and it's still not perfect but for a first time trying it I don't think it was that bad either, now all we have left to do is the two front windows (not the windscreen). We then came back to the flat, where Jack chilled out on the playstation and my body decided that I needed some sleep, so I spent about 4 hours sleeping. I saw Magic, and gave him a good brush. He's turning in to a really fluffy baby at the moment, I love this time of the year he goes LOADS darker and becomes super fluffy and cuddly! I also gave Ghost a brush, as his owner is still injured and unable to see him so I figured it would be nice to give him some love and attention.

Today has been another day where I have done the square root of nothing! I got up this morning and went with Jack to drop Josh off for work, we then went straight on to the hospital for Jack's weekly appointment, that he has to go to ever since he got his burns (not sure if I explained what happened, but if I didn't then that's just a post for another day). I only had an hours sleep last night, so i opted for curling up in the car with Jeremy Kyle and attempting to get a little bit more sleep. Then we came back to the flat where we spent the afternoon chilling out with the dogs. Luckily since my ranty post the other day I've had no more digging in the flat. It was then time to go get Josh and chill out on the play station! It was a nice quiet day. Unfortunately I didn't see Magic as I was not feeling myself at all, I was really sick after we got back from Jack's hospital appointment. Then a couple of hours later I felt really hungry so tried to have something to eat, and ended up being sick again, so I'm not sure if it's a bug that's going around or what.

I'm now curled up in bed, cuddling the dogs, watching the new Suicide Squad film. Not going to lie I have NO idea what the film is about, it's just background noise until I stop blogging and starting falling asleep. So on that note I will head off, I've not been able to catch up on peoples blogs for a while,  so I'm going to make a start on that now.

Digging dogs, and chilled out ponies.

Well the past few days have been interesting to say the least. After our long walk with Magic on Thursday, we spent the day chilling out on Friday. We spent the morning playing games, and catching up on what was on T.V. before heading over to my mums with the dogs. While they spent a good few hours playing out in the garden, Jack and my mum made brownies, and I spoke to my dad for a bit. Before Jack and I then decided to fit our new speakers in our new car. It took us a while to do it but we managed it in the end. We then came home and chilled out, while Jack started playing our new game Mafia 3 I spent some time watching T.V.

Saturday was another quiet day,  I didn't see Magic today, as to be honest I was exhausted. He hadn't been in and he didn't need anything doing to his stable (I did check) so I left him out in the field with his friends for a few days. Today's been another quiet day, that is until I got back to the flat. Now as you'll know from the post that I wrote about three days ago, we have two dogs. One who's a bit older and one who is a baby and is still learning. Now if anyone has some suggestions of how to sort this dog out that would be greatly appreciated. Some days he's great, he'll ask to go out when he needs to, he'll chill out, he doesn't chew anything and is just a generally really nice dog. Then there is days like today.

We woke up this morning and both dogs went out. We went out and did what we needed to do, came back and decided it was another film day in bed, both the dogs curled up either on the bed with us or lay on the floor chilling out. Then before we needed to go out we let the dogs out again! Tidied the flat up and left with both the dogs chilling out on the bed. They both looked happy and relaxed that was until we got back. I walked in the flat to find Diesel is teething (I'm not really bothered about this I'll get him some toys to help with it), he's decided it's GREAT FUN to dig at the front door, no idea how to stop this so if anyone does have any ideas then please let me know? Because of the digging I asked him what he'd done and told him off, he then decided to pee in the flat all over a duvet. So if anyone has any ideas on how to stop a dog digging that's a puppy and only does it when I'm NOT here that would be greatly appreciated.

I've got lots of plans for Magic over the next week, we're going to do some more work in the school, going back to doing Parelli but also hopefully start to get him trotting in hand. I don't want him to do huge amounts of trotting, just want him to be able to trot when asked to as he's still not great at this he's getting there but he's not perfect. He's going to get lots of fuss and attention and a really good groom tomorrow. I'm also hoping to get him booked in to have his teeth checked out soon as this is something that he hasn't had done yet. Well slowly get there, but mostly I just want to have fun with him. If that means we spend some days just chilling in the field together than that's what we will do, if it means we go on long walks that's what we will do, it all just depends on what each day brings.

As for tomorrow i'll be heading over to my mums in the morning to do some jobs, and possibly be taking the dogs with me again for them to have another run around. But for now i'm going to curl up, chill out, look through some of my online university work and research how to get Diesel to stop digging.

Until Next Time

Well I tried writing this blog post yesterday, and then today I ended up deleting everything. It's been that long since I've blogged that I don't think I'd be able to catch you all up on everything in just one post. So I'm going to go about it differently and start off by letting you  know what I've been up to recently and then I'll just fill in the gaps as I go along. For those of you who don't have me on Facebook I've also had Magic in Derbyshire for a year now, while I've owned him since day one he's been all mine officially for just over a year and what a journey it's been.

So today I took Magic for a walk, I think we calculated that we walked between 3 miles and 4 miles. This was the first time that I had taken Magic out in ages due to his lameness issues which are now all resolved. Which also enabled us to give him his second proper trim for his hooves. The farrier was really good with him, I wasn't actually there as I'd booked to have Magic's feet done at the same time as my Yard Owners horses. So she looked after Magic and was there while he had his feet done, apparently he was a bit spooky for the front feet but soon settled down and was fine for the back feet. I'm hoping in time he'll really settle down and just be able to have them all done calmly. Unfortunately that just hasn't quite happened at the moment. But slowly we'll get there.
Okay so I may have forgot to tell you guys one thing, not only has Magic had his feet trimmed. He's also had his mane trimmed for the first time, it was getting to long and difficult to brush. I figured it was causing him more pain trying to sort it so he got a hair cut!
Anyway back to todays walk, we walked from my yard, to my mum and dads house where we stopped and had a break and Magic tried to cut my mum's grass. Back to the yard again. Jack followed us in the car with his hazards on because I was a bit wary of taking Magic out on his own after having such a long time off. But Magic was amazing and we only really had one problem but that was due to a bus! You'll probably all remember that Magic gets a little bit spooked by buses, well this bus driver was actually really amazing, he slowed down and waited for Magic to be calm and then pass, but unfortunately the sound of the bus just sent him a little bit over board and he had a very mild tantrum. When we got back to the yard I popped Magic in his stable for a bit to have some of his hay net and then have his hard feed and Lynn popped him out later for me.
Hard to believe at one point this hi viz was to big for him, now look at it, but for today we just had to make do so that's what we did.
So what else is new with me? Well i'm sure that you will all remember Casper my little rescue doggy, but I don't think any of you will know who Diesel is. Diesel is my other rescue puppy, he's about 6 months old now, (I've had him just over a month), staffordshire bull terrier x pit bull. He's like casper an extremely loving personality who just wants to have lots of fun, and most importantly Casper just loves having him around! Diesel and casper both love to go on long walks, and pretty much love going wherever we go, they take trips to the stables with me in the evening for runs in the field. They cuddle up in bed with me and keep me warm and most of all they're just really comforting to have. When i'm having a bad day and really don't feel well enough to get up to Magic the dogs keep me motivated to get up and do SOMETHING! Even if it's just a quick walk to where the shops are near me and back.
My other two fur babies, both loving cuddles on the bed and chilling out and of course Casper loves his kisses.

But lastly my main man! Isn't he just the cutest thing ever!

207 - Magic is LAME

Okay, he is not literally lame, but he is. I think i remember telling you guys about the splinter that Magic had, well he is still lame, I know that they had to take a bit off his frog away so I do expect it to be sensitive but today the poor sod just looked LAME! There's no other word for it, he looked sad and droopy and just not his normal happy self. Tomorrow Lynne should be back and I know when she is the farrier is coming out to check on all of the horses so maybe then I will have an answer to what is wrong with Magic. If not it looks like it is going to be a nice vets bill for us, the joys. Other than that Magic is fine, he's looking nice, his weight is good and he's growing rapidly. It amazes me just how big he is sometimes, and he's got plenty more growing to do. He loves his cuddles and fuss, even when he is out in the field and I just go and sit with him. He loves to be groomed although he doesn't love to have his feet picked up but this is something that we are working on, one day we will get there, but for the minute we just take each day as it comes.

Casper is doing better, he's still not on a dog food diet, he eats rice and pasta with some form of meat, and a bit of Gravy. He's slowly starting to put weight on although not huge amounts and he has stopped being sick. So hopefully things are looking up for him, I don't think anyone will ever really know what happened to him before I got him but slowly but surely he is improving with us. He gets lots of love, fuss and cuddles, hours of walking and of course plenty of hours playing in a field. Oh and of course he sneaks up on to the bed for cuddles with me (whether Jack's here or not).

Other than that things are quiet, I'm hoping that I have got a part time job, only doing the serve legal job that I have a few summers ago, but still it's savings and it's better than nothing, so that's the way that I look at it. I plan to start saving for practical purposes and of course just having fun.

Tomorrow I will do a more detailed post for you guys but for the minute I'm off to sleep..

Night everyone

well things have been super busy here, Casper hasn't been very well, Magic's been lame and I've been ill. Jack had a job then lost his job, then I've been working on my own business creating personalised products so first things first. Magic.

Magic is doing really, we are doing lots of work on him picking his feet up, he is fine with his front ones but his back ones he's still a bit off with. He's been lame in his front foot as well the opposite one to that he has an abscess in, then this time he had a 3 inch splinter in his frog, that wasn't visible to the human eye. This had developed an abscess that the farrier burst, but for over a week after he was still lame, so been poulticing his foot, keeping him on box rest but I think that ended up doing more damage than good because he freaked out being in on his own so he went back out with the rest of them. I bought him a cheap bridle yesterday for when I am getting him used to the feel.  He's coming on really well and he's growing loads, today when I went to see him he was lying down and even when I went in to the stable he still didn't get up so I think he was pretty much dead to the world.

Now on to Casper, we had to take him to the vets about a week ago, and they put him on a rice diet, he's not allowed dog food and everything that he does eat has to be extremely bland. They did a urine sample as well and the results came back as being clear, he hasn't had blood tests. When they weighed him the first time he was 17 kilos and had lost 3/4 of a kilo since i last took him to the vets. When we took him the second time three days later he was 17.2 kilos so hopefully this means that he is finally starting to put weight on. He's stopped being sick and he's on two different tables and a syringe full of medication. So at the minute he's pretty doped up but the vets really don't have any answers what is wrong with him.

As for me I'm getting there, I haven't been able to ride in two weeks so far because my riding instructor won't let me ride with the tablets that I am on. I was really ill at the same time as Casper was last week but I'm not really sure what was wrong with me, i'm not sure if it was a reaction to my tablets or a bug that was going around. But now that I am better I am back pushing to get my embroidery business Magic Personalisations popular, we've had one new customer since the relaunch, and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it but I think that's going to be a separate post!

Now on to something really random has anyone else started playing the new Pokemon GO App, on their phone. It's only just been launched in the UK and to be honest I looked at it and thought it was going to be awful but it turned out to be really fun, you literally just walk around and find pokemon totally geekish but also totally fun! But anyway I'm off to get an early night as tomorrow I will be waiting for the vets to ring me to give Magic his injections.

Until Later

180. Flat footed and a sneaky vidoe!

Well the past few days have't really been that eventful to be honest. For the past three days I've been having health issues with passing out again, including yesterday passing out down my flat stairs while on the way to take my dog out. Which I've got to say was quite painful and uncomfortable. I've also been none stop sleeping for the past few days and really couldn't tell you why, I'm just not able to stay awake for whatever reason.

Magic is doing really well on Monday I thought that he was a bit off, Mum had bought him in from the field in the morning as I wasn't very well and fed him and then I went up to see him in the evening. When I got there we did a bit more work on getting him used to having his bit in, which i've got to say he excelled himself at, and as he was walking around he didn't look 100% himself. But then as I went to put him in the field I noticed that his front right leg (if you were looking at him from behind) looked like he was dragging it. I have no idea why though as the next day when Lynn looked at him he looked completely fine. My yard owner (Lynn) thinks it is because he is really flat footed, so I have spoken to the guy who is hopefully going to be my new farrier and I am just waiting for a text back off him. So hoping that soon he will be a little bit more comfortable but to be honest I don't know a lot about being flat footed, so can someone explain to me the things I might need to do differently. Obviously I am going to look in to this in more detail but if any of you guys can give me any advice that would be really helpful.

Casper is also doing really well, he's been chilling with me in the mornings while Jack is at work, and catching up on sleep and then when Jack gets in he gets hyper again. So all in all things are pretty boring here but at least they are uneventful. But anyway I can feel myself falling asleep again, so I'm going to leave this post at this and update you all again soon.

Until Next Time

177. Mia and catch up time

Sorry guys for being MIA for a while I've only just managed to get proper wifi sorted in the flat up until Wednesday I had been using a dongle that my mum paid for and then on Wednesday I finally got a telephone line fitted and broadband. I started off by using talk talk, but they were telling me that it was 'normal for it to take 45 minutes for it to load one page'. So then I went in to town and connected to Virgin and as soon as it was fitted it was working straight away on some of the fastest broadband speeds that I've ever seen which was amazing.

Magic is doing really well, he's turning into a lovely sweet horse. He loves being brushed and the other day he had his first proper bath, only for it to rain the next day and magic to end up rolling in the worlds biggest puddle ever. He came in looking like the worlds biggest mud monster ever. He's also getting loads better at picking his feet up, we still have lots more work to do on the back ones but he's slowly getting there. He's also been out for a couple of walks on the road with another horse which he's really enjoyed although he still needs to work better on pacing himself slowly. We haven't done much work with the bit recently as to be honest I just want to take things slowly with him and make sure that everything gets taken at his speed.

My riding is also doing loads better, the other day I did some jumping with Gatsby. I had been riding with Stan but unfortunately he had an injury to his nose so he's unable to be rode at the moment. With Stan we have been working on going in to an outline and maintaing it and becoming more consistent. With Gatsby we worked on the outline with out stirrups and then we did some jumping (obviously with stirrups). We hadn't jumped in a while and were supposed to be staying in trot when approaching the fence but we ended up cantering into the fence instead, and I managed to really take control over the jumps which gave me a massive confidence boost.

Casper is also doing really well, he comes to see Magic with me every day and normally while I'm brushing Magic Jack takes him out in the field and lets him let some steam off. He's finally started to put weight on although he still doesn't like being left in on his own but slowly he is getting more used to it. It's just going to take time and patience for him to move past whatever happened to him before I got him.

Jack's also got a new job, it's a delivery job for a company called Yodel. He gets the parcels delivered to my mums house in the morning and they can get there any time for between 8 and 9 in the morning. I then help him to create a list that is the order that the parcels need to be delivered in. After this my mum will then bring me home for me to catch up and do any jobs that I need to do and then Jack will deliver the parcels and meet me at home later that day. I've also started working more and more on improving my embroidery business as well as my photography business so I am sure I will have lots of fun updates for you in the future.

But for now I'm exhausted so i'm going to curl up in bed and chill out and watch Netflix. I'm a massive fan of orange is the new black but I'm a series behind so think it's time for me to catch up on that!

Until Next Time

Advice please

Okay guys so I'm looking for advice over a couple of things. Magic is now just over one, when he turned one I used some bailing twine as advised by my yard owner to measure how big a bit Magic would need and it came back as a 5 inch happy mouth snaffle, I got the one with a lozenge in. However today when I went to put it in he let me put it in fine and then kept putting it under his tongue, but every time I went to look in his mouth he'd put his tongue back again. Can anyone give me any advice on whether this is just part of his learning process or whether this is because it's too big or something like this? Or is it just that I am not managing to get the bit high enough?
See my boy has such a stunning coat, and is looking good, just looking slightly thin at the moment in time.
Also another thing is Magic has one large feed a day (the amount is still with in the guidelines and restrictions though), and he comes in for an hour or so and will eat one large hay net in this same time. He is then turned out the rest of the time and has three or four fields that he can go in and they have plenty of grass in. I hadn't noticed his weight loss until today so was wondering whether you guys think that he's just having a growth spurt or if it could be something different. I will post pictures with this post. Feel free to comment even if it is criticism as I do love learning from you guys.
Such bright eyes and wide awake, love my pretty little man.

Other than this Magic and Casper are both doing well, Casper is also struggling with his weight but I have been told that this is due to the fact that he has not been castrated yet, and that if he was to be he could put extra weight on. He's doing really well and he's coming on loads, he's stopped being an over excited puppy and is starting to really listen although of course he still has his mad moments twice away. But like right now he's curled up on my feet chilling out. He's such a loyal dog, he's also doing really well with Magic. Magic is also looking really good other than his weight loss, he's got a really shiny coat and the majority of his baby coat has gone leaving him with a lovely summer coat, he's got really nice bright eyes and an AMAZING mane. I really do love both my fur babies. Both animals are happy which also makes me really happy.

Sleepy boy after he has had his feed. He really is starting to mature nicely and making me really proud of everything that he does.
A photo especially for Achieve1Dream, my boys pretty mane :)

Well those of you that know me and have got me on Facebook will have seen that on the 19th May Magic turned one and he got a birthday present, well it was a present for me but it meant work for him. He also got two small likits for his swinging ball as I'm finding these really hard to be able to find and buy at the moment. Apparently there is a problem with manufacturing at the moment. I bought Magic a 5inch happy mouth snaffle bit with a lozenge in the middle. I then decided that his birthday would be the start of his training, so I went up to the stable bought him in and gave him a really good brush. After this I decided to put his bit in for the first time, I connected two pieces of bailing twine to the bit and put it in. I made sure to stand at his left shoulder and put it on as if I was putting a bridle on him. I then connected the bailing twine to one of the metal loops on his head collar to hold it in place using a bow. I kept it in for a few minutes and then took it out again.
Happy chilled out boy.
The next day I gave Magic a day off, I bought all the horses in for Lynn as she was not feeling very well. So after doing this I just fed Magic and gave him a good brush. I then gave him his food and cuddles before leaving him to it for the day and then Lynn put him out later on.
walking around with the bit in to get used to it.
Yesterday we tried again with the bit. We followed exactly the same process and this time Magic just stood there. He didn't overly chew and stood happy and relaxed so the next thing that I did was walk him around while he had the bit in his mouth (I've got a video of this). I didn't connect the lead rope to the bit and instead chose to keep it connected to his head collar. I then tied him back up again and chose to hold his feed bucket near to him and let him eat while he had the bit in his mouth. It took him a while to figure out what to do but once he had got it figured out he was fine. I then took the bit out and put the rest of his feed in his stable.

Magic chilling quietly and happily with his bit in his mouth.
This morning I went up to see Magic and decided to do something different, I bought him in from the field and gave him a  really good brush as you could tell that he had been rolling and he was completely and utterly ditched. I then put his hi viz rug on and Jack and I walked him to the pub while jack walked Casper. We then stopped to have a drink, before turning around and walking back. On the way back we saw the ice cream van so we stopped and had an ice cream. Magic was really good on the road. He got slightly freaked out by the cars but once he got used to them it was fine and in the end he walked nicely and calmly even trotting on when asked to. He was really good until we got back when he decided to get arsey and wanted to rush to do anything to get his food. So i popped him back in his stable and left it at that for the day.
First time ever having a bit in his mouth, and his first birthday!
If anyone has got any suggestions on things to start doing with Magic now that he has turned one then please do let me know. Also if you have any ideas of how to improve my bitting progress then please feel free to comment. Oh also see below my video of the second time Magic had a bit in his mouth. I have also created a new youtube channel where I will keep all the records of work done with Magic, this will only have Magic on it, as I still have my other youtube channel that has all my riding videos.

Well it was bad enough when it was just me that had got this horrible bug that goes around, it causes sneezing, coughing and an extremely painful throat, but now Jack has got it as well. So for the weekend when it has decided to be really warm we've both been in the flat feeling rubbish, however we managed a few hours in the sun yesterday to do Magic. Then in the evening we took Casper for a walk and then today we managed to do exactly the same.

Magic is coming on really well, he's grown loads and in four days he will be one year old, and it still amazes me as to how quickly the time flies. I plan on getting him a bit and a few other things but unfortunately that is going to have to wait until I have sorted out my financial situation fully. He's finally nearly fully got rid of his dreadlocks look to, he's just got the last few long hairs on his belly to go and then he is going to look like a smart clean horse. As much as I love having a baby horse I can't wait until he's clean all the time, I don't know why but I just love it when he looks all clean and shiny. He's going to be a really stunning horse when he gets older.

Casper is also doing really well, he's finally starting to calm down, although he still has his mad moments but at 16 months old I don't really blame him I think that I would do to. Like last night for example, Jack and I had finally got in to bed and were both just about to fall asleep and out of no where Casper had a completely insane 10 minutes then after that he jumped up on to the sofa and fell asleep! I have no idea what it was all about but it was funny to watch.

I have no idea what tomorrow will bring other than I know that it will include Magic, Casper, going to the doctors and probably a chilled out afternoon on the playstation. I can never guarentee what is going to happen during the day but I do know that the majority of time I have fun.

So for now I'm off to bully Jack while he's on the playstation before I do some food, and hope that this weather COOLS down.

Recently I've been seeing lots of things on facebook about what makes a person who they are, with it coming to the end of the university year lots of people that I want to school with are ending that mile stone. I see lots of comments about this is the end of their journey making them who they are but I completely disagree with this because I don't think that the journey to being you will ever end. As the majority of you will know I have suffered with long term illness and health problems since I was the age of 11, you will also know that I was studying commercial photography at university. However at the end of last year I had to make an extremely tough decision due to my ill health and personal stress problems I made the choice to 'quit' university. Now for a while this made me feel like a complete and utter failure. I've never been good at making my mind up but I don't normally give in, so for ages to myself I was just a fail. Which wound me up and drove me to breaking point, I was losing my head with everyone and everything but there in the middle of all this was my family, Jack and most of all Magic. He was the one thing that never changed and the one thing that made me, well me. He was always happy to see me, a shoulder to cry on, a cuddle on a bad day, a laugh when I needed cheering he was just Magic. So in answer to my question I'm Amber, proud owner of Magic, daughter, girlfriend, loyal friend, I'm just ME. I might know or have a plan for what I'm doing in life but slowly but surely I will get there. I might not really know what I want to do in the future but if this journey that we were on ended now I think that would be really boring because I can be whoever I want to be.
Excuse my face, but cute moment going on between Magic and I think (but don't hold me to it) Sparky and Phase)
But now on to what I have been up to. Today has been a relatively quiet day, after having to be up at 7am yesterday morning and then dealing with a bad patch of pain last night, I ended up sleeping in this morning. I then went to see Magic and the weather was lovely it was red hot and sunny. Magic was chilling by the gate waiting for me to bring him in and give him some love, so again I took him in to the cross country field and we did some random bits of walking and trotting. I then took him back up on to the yard and gave him a good old brush, which he seemed to really enjoy.
Magic yesterday hiding in the middle of the herd, like I said the UK's weather is nearly always rain, the top photograph was today and this one yesterday and it's completely different.

After I'd done this Jack and I went to meet Connor and Leona and we all just spent a few hours chatting a way and lying on the park in the sun. It was nice weather and nice company, in the UK it's not very often that you get really hot sunny days, so for me any chance to chill in the sun is a chance that I will take. Eventually it was time for Connor and Leona to go to work, so Jack and I headed back to the flat, where we curled up on the sofa and caught up with the soaps before I drifted off in to a peaceful sleep with casper by my head and Jack chilled out on the playstation. Now here I am writing this post, so on that note I'm going to leave you all to it.
With a crazy owner you have to have a crazy horse and my boy certainly is that. Magic and I pulling faces, phase even joined in with the face pulling and sparky well isn't he just adorable being the 'normal one'.

Well I can't believe in nine days my not so little Midnight Magic will almost be one, and boy what a sweet heart he really is. This time last year I was planning on saving up, getting an older horse and having something that I could ride every day. Then came magic's baby picture, I'd read the night before about a baby that had been born out of a black mare and lippy and just from that description I knew that he was going to be the boy that I wanted. I went to see him at less than 24 hours old and I have never looked back since. There has been blood, sweat and tears, moments that I wanted to scream and give in and then days like today where I look at the bond that we have and think every single second of it was worth it.

Now nine days away from him being one I'm planning on buying him his first bit, I want to get him an apple flavoured snaffle with a lozenge happy mouth bit. I don't see the point in getting something more complicated when at the end of the day that is what I plan on riding him in. I have no real plans for Magic, I am always going to be a dressage Diva at hear, and Magic might not be the perfect 'typical' dressage horse but I tell you what we're going to have doing whatever we decided to do, whether it's country, hacking out, pleasure rides, it doesn't matter what we do because we'll always have that bond and he will always be my baby Magic.

So here's a rough outline of mine and Magic's plan.

  • When he turns one - Start getting him used to having a bit in, I will start by using it with baling twine and a head collar before eventually moving him on to getting his own bridle.
  • When he turns two I'll start doing small bits of lunging, and possibly ground driving. I will also possibly start free schooling him at this point.
  • When he turns three - Here he will start having much more road work done, walking out, lunging and if I can find another sensible horse to do it with I might pony him (not sure if everyone will know what this mean but ride one horse while leading him out).
  • Between four and five - This is where the hard work will begin, at this point he will start to be produced and bought on. I could start doing this when he was three but because of the size that magic is due to be I don't want to rush him in to anything.
During this whole time I will continue doing lots of bits of ground work with him, hopefully take him out to a few shows every now and then. We'll do the parelli work that Magic loves and we will do lots of Monty Roberts work, now while this might not be the kind of thing that most people would chose to do for me I think it's going to be great fun, and I can't wait for magic's and mines bond to keep growing.

But for now I'm off to bed.

Until Next Time

Today has been a really good day, even if I did wake up feeling like death warmed up. Unfortunately it feels like I have got tonsilitis again, it's the start of a new year and the start of a count down until I can get my tonsils taken out, but knowing my luck I won't have it enough times in a year.

But anyway I rode a new horse this morning, I'm sure in my posts somewhere I will have mentioned Stan Kelly's horse, well today I got to ride him. He's 17.2hh I think and 15 years old. He is lovely to ride. He is slightly similar to ride to Gatsby but in other ways he is completely different. He's a lot easier to get in to an outline than I expected, once you really sit in to his saddle, and sit in to him he drops down. The key to riding him was not to use a lot of hand although to make sure that I got him off the right rein as he likes to grab it and try and hold on to it. When i first started riding him I didn't think that he was going to be that easy, but the more that I rode him the easier it was to get used to him. We only did walk and trot walk, but we did lots of work on serpentines and circles, getting him to become more supple and have more confidence in himself. By the time I got off him I was completely and utterly exhausted it but all the aching was definitely worth it.

When I'd finished riding him it was time to go home and get casper and then go see my very own fur baby. Magic is now on night time turn out, so he's only in for a couple of hours during the day. So I took the opportunity to go and do some work with him, today we worked on walking and trotting in hand and doing small amounts of bandaging. Well that's what I said until I bandaged all four of his legs. He was really good and only complained once on his back leg so I was really proud of him. I then gave him a really big brush all over and after that I wormed him! I can't say that he was particularly the worlds biggest fan of having it done but I think that it worked out okay in the end.

But for now i'm off to curl up with the Mr and the pup, and hope i'll feel better tomorrow.

Until Next Time

Day 121 - All up to date

well i have finally managed to get up to date with reading everyones lovely comments on my blog! I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone that still comments on my blog. I really do appreciate not only the feed back but also the help that you guys give me. I feel that by writing a blog, I have created a whole online support system I know that might sound insane but it's just how i feel at the moment.

Magic is coming on in leaps and bounds, he still has things that he hates me doing. Like at the moment it's brushing his tummy because he's all knotted from the mud, the length of the fur and the fact that it changing from a baby winter coat to by the looks of it a nice summer coat. He's got loads better at having his feed put in to the point where I now just go in and put the food on my own. He's really getting better with doing that. He's come on in leaps and bounds about having his head collar taken off all though I'll admit we battled with this for a while but in the end we got there, and he's growing at a nice steady pace, not to fast or slow just in his own time. Magic's also coming on really well with all the things he's learning. For example the other day while Lynn rode out on the roads with her horse stan, I walked out with Magic to get him used to being on the roads. He was a bit excitable to start with about it but by the end of it he had got the idea and was really happy with it. He will also now walk around while I hold him in one hand and casper in the other hand. While we have only really tried this on the yard I still feel like it is a good progress from him to be making, so I am really proud of him. He's making massive achievements and just doing really well. He truly is a fantastic horse.

But for now i'm off to get some sleep and chill out and watch life and death row.

Until Next Time

Day 119 - The friendly Ghost, Gelding and new beginnings.

Well it's been a while since I have posted and lost has changed since the last time I posted on here. So the first thing that I have got to tell you all is the fact that I have now moved out of living with my mum and dad, I've got a nice little flat not far from them and not far from Magic, and share a flat with my boyfriend who is here most nights. The flat's nice and homely, it's small but it's something that I've gotten used to.
Aha i love this photo of the Mr and I on the way to the pub earlier.
The next thing that I've got to tell you all is that Magic has finally been gelded, it was horrible to watch and something that I will definitely never want to see ever again but he seems happier now that he's been done. He was never a angry or mad horse before but he is even quieter now. I haven't done much in hand work with him recently due to being really unwell but I have still got to see him lots which I've really enjoyed. He's currently measuring 15hh on his bum and 14.2hh on his withers and he's not even one yet. I plan on starting to bit him when it gets to summer. He'll only have a simple happy mouth snaffle in which will connect to his head collar to start with and then will move on to his bridle. At the minute he isn't looking the worlds best because he's shedding his baby coat and winter coat in to his summer coat and because of the breed that he is it is quite long on his tummy so it has matted in places.
My midnight Magic, I think that he is losing a bit of weight at the moment but I am sure that is due to him growing.
I also rode Gatsby for the first time in roughly a month on saturday, it wasn't the bet riding that I have ever done and I only rode for roughly 40 minutes. We did a lot of work on riding with out stirrups because this is how I get my seat the best. We then moved on to doing a little bit of canter work but due to my stomach problems I found that this was quite tiring. I'll be riding Gatsby again on Saturday but it is safe to say that it felt amazing to be back in the saddle. While I love having Magic I do sometimes wish I had got something that was older that I could ride but I would NEVER change Magic for the world, or all the money in the world.
He's starting to get his dads mane coming through (his dad was a fresian x clydesdale but had more fresian). I know that I need to trim his mane but honestly I just love it.

My final bit of important news is the fact that I have finally got a dog. A week after I moved in I drove for over an hour (well the boyfriend did) to get Casper, he's a white Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He's just over one year old and was free off gum tree. I have reason to believe that he wasn't very well looked after by his previous owner due to the marks that were on him when I got him and the fact that he was really under weight. However now he enjoys his long walks and eats loads. So he's starting to look healthier and put weight on again.
Meet Casper, aka, the friendly ghost. More pictures to come of him soon.
But for now i'm off to sleep as I have had a really long but enjoyable 21st Today, oh yeah did I forget to mention it was my birthday. But before I go to sleep I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has made my birthday as amazing as it was, it's been a really good day and I have really enjoyed myself :D.
Some of my amazing birthday charms :D

Until Next Time

86. Lots of news for you

well if I have done my maths right then today is the 86th day of the year it's mad to think that it won't be long until it's the 100th day of the year. Time really does fly by without people noticing. Well I figured it's about time that I let everyone in on why I haven't been writing on my blog recently there has been several reasons really. The first one is i have got some news but I didn't want to Jinx myself until I knew if it was true or not. On Tuesday at 12 pm I'll be getting the keys to my own flat.  While Iam really excited I am also kind of super nervous.  I know that it is a big step to be taking but at the moment I just personally feel like it's the right thing to do at the minute. Don't get me wrong I think that I'll have some days where I am going to struggle but believe me when I say that I'm going to try my hardest.

The next thing is that once again my health hasn't been the best except this time it has ended up with me having to have an emergency (seen within two weeks) numerology appointment and let them do some tests and wait and see what the results say. This is all due to the fact that for about a month or so I have been passing out for no real reason. Or I can't see any real reason behind it if that makes sense. I've also been suffering with headaches and been even worse with my mood swings than normal so I am hoping that eventually this will give me some answers to what is going on with my health. I'm also doped up on tablets at the moment so that is making me feel tired 24/7, and it's not like I don't get enough sleep also out nights recently I am asleep by 10.30 pm roughly and then awake at sort of 11am the next day. So all in all my health is pretty strange at the moment in time.

Magic is doing really well he honestly is coming on in leaps and bounds. He seems.to finally have gotten past his kicking out around food which yes has taken us a while but it.proves that patience and determination will win out in the end. Don't get me wrong there was a point I thought he was always going to be a pain about food but the more that he goes out the quieter that he becomes and also the more chilled out he gets. But he is still a big baby and loves all his fuss and attention. The other day i bought him in from the field and it took him forever to realise that it was me that was shouting him but then when he did eventually realise he came running Over to see me which was really nice and honestly made my day. He is such a clever and gentle horse and honestly it amazes me how much he really does pick up on everything.

But anyway it's 4.10am here and for whatever reason I've woken up and just felt like I need to write this but now I'm back off to get some sleep. That's if the boyfriend ever stops snoring next to me.

Until next time
Amber and Magic

P.s. to anyone that has been kind enough to leave me a comment on my blog recently I'm not being rude and ignoring it. I just haven't got around to replying yet whilst I had been sorting all these things out in my head but I will get back to you soon.

I've got no riding tomorrow though but I will explain it all tomorrow :)

Magic really does make me laugh, he's been doing things that are funny for the past few days. This morning when I went up to do his stable he was no where to be seen, so I did all the inside of his stable, got his feed ready for tonight, and still magic was no where to be seen. The next thing that I know I was doing his Haynets and I had just watched Lynn call all the horses and seen them come running up. I was in the middle of filling the Haynets when all I heard was 'oi what are you doing' so I shouted back to Jack to ask him what was up as all he was supposed to be doing was putting his Haynets in the stable, and as I had come out the area where the haylage is stored I looked to the left and stood there was magic playing with the feed bucket. Jack thought that he had escaped and then Lynn told me that she had let magic come up. So I grabbed hold of his head collar and walked him up to the stable so that I could carry on with filling the Haynets but after that I really couldn't stop giggling on and off all day.

We then went to see george and see how he had been getting on and spent time with shan and the kids. This evening I went to feed magic again and George came with me to meet him as jack and I thought that we could do him some Good by just getting out of ripley for a little bit.  I bought magic out and decided to give him a quick brush over, he was really good and he let me pick all four feet up happily. I then put him back in his stable and took his head collar off. When I had done that I went and got his food from his stable. The past few days I have gone to putting magic back in the stable before putting his food in. I did that tonight and he was really good, don't get me wrong he still gets impatient about getting his head in the corner feeder but I am sure that in time he will move in from this. I then carried on playing the friendly game with him while he was in the stable before quietly coming out of the stable.

Unfortunately things didn't go quite to plan today as I should have been having a lesson with Fiona so that she could see the new place and so that I could have a few tips on how to do more parelli work with magic. However last night I text her saying that I didn't think that I was going to be able to afford the lesson and she replied that she completely understood, and that she might have had to cancel anyway because Daniel had got an extremely high temperatures. They ended up ringing 999, and he got admitted to hospital last night and is still there..

Until next time

Well it has been a few days since I've had time to post on here life has been hectic but I haven't really been doing anything so because I didn't want to come repetitive I chose not to post anything until I'd got something interesting to tell you all. However I changed my mind tonight after seeing some lovely comments from one of y my followers. I always love peoples comments but this one particular blogger and her awesome horse chrome have really inspired me over the time that I have been reading her blog and her lovely comments inspired me to write a post tonight.

Nothing has been really different here, magic is loving being at his new yard, he's starting to get a really good bond with the yard owner and she says that she really likes him it's hard to believe that since he has been at his new home for over four weeks now. He's loving being g out with the herd and it really has made a massive improvement in his temperament and also how he reacts with his food, I'm now back to putting him back in the stable before I give him his food. I then take my parelli stick with me and friendly game him before giving him his food, and then before I leave I'll wait until he's stood patiently and then I leave and play a bit more of the friendly game with him. Magic is coming on in leaps and bounds and it's so nice to see him out in the herd. I'm so glad I made the choice when I made the choice of Magic and really do think that I have done the best thing by him.  If anything magic has really taught me that following my gut feeling is the best thing that I can do. Not only by magic but also in every day life. Every now and then I ignore it and it normaly is the worst decision that I have made. But for now it's nearly one am here so I'm going to head off and get some sleep. Tomorrow I will have a proper post for you all with lots of pictures but for now I need my beauty sleep ;)

Well from my blog title you will see that today is the 70th day of the year and personally I think that, that is insane. It feels like it was only yesterday that it was the start of the new year and had just been Christmas, what feels even stranger to me is magics age. In 10 days it will be exactly two months until magic is one! And OMG how time has flied. It's currently 6.35 am realistically I should be curled up in bed with the Mr fast asleep but tonight that is not the case and so far I've been awake since jusy before 5am. The weird thing about tonight is that all my tablets were taken at a 'reasonable' time so that in itself should be a guaranteed way to keep me in a deep sleep until the morning but not so much the past few days. Another thing that I don't think is he long with the sleep but I do know is helping with my weight is the fact that I am just stopping snacking at night.  I've been trying to do this for a while but it normally lasts two or three weeks then I'll have a really bad night and I have something to munch. Well this time I am being stubborn and I am NOT giving in to the part of my brain that's telling me to get out of bed and go in the kitchen, I can feel my stomach churning so this is probably why I'm awake at this time.

But back to my original point magic is nearly one and I can't believe how much we have accomplished before I even bought him, my riding teacher warned me that there would be loads of ups and downs but I had no idea how true those words would be. She told me I'd have days where I felt like quitting and days where I felt on top of the world and that is so true. In the short time that I have ownEd magic we have been at two different livery yards, we walked on main roads Over 3 miles to get him to the second yard. I've dealt with people that constantly wanted to put Magic and I down, and being told to sell him and that I don't know what Im doing. I've gone from having magic rear up while your leading him to having him walk in hand calmly and also do a little bit of calm in hand trotting although I won't lie and say that he doesn't get excited sometimes because I think that we all know he does. I've found magic a lovely little home with such a nice and caring support system in place. I've learnt to trust what he's telling me and follow my gut instinct. But most importantly I've just learnt to be my horses mum, I've gone from doing everything for him. Ranging from playing in the field with him because he had no herd or even a friend to go out with, to having battles over who's boss. To now still playing that role but seeing a much calmer horse that's got his sparkle back. He now goes out with a herd all day and is in during the night time. He's learnt that he's not the boss anymore and it's taken us a while but he is finally getting there. But most of all I'm thankful that I went with my gut feeling because all those people that told me magic can't do this or to sell him were all WRONG because he is an amazing little horse. He's taught me so much about the horse world but also about myself and for that I don't think I can thank him enough.

But anyway guys it's 7am and I'm finally falling back asleep so I'll update this post later and also I'll check all my spelling.

Now it's the end of the day and I'm finishing writing this post, Magic is doing really really well he's coming on in leaps and bounds. He doesn't always like things but he has to get used to them and today was a good example of that due to the fact that Magic has hurt himself again honestly I think I have the most clumsy horse in the world, i'll post the pictures in a separate post so that you can give me your opinions on what he has done but unfortunately he'd just got a bit of bleeding on his leg, so I cleaned it with hibiscrub, and made sure that the area around it was clean to. I then brushed him all over and gave him some fuss and attention because he was being all fussy.

Then tonight when I went to put his feed in I left him in the stable and just went about doing the jobs that I needed to do (the main reasons for this was because it was absolutely pissing it down with rain). So as I'd left his food in the stable next door I just went in and gave him his food, I Then took down three of his hay nets as honestly that horse is eating LOADS and filled them back up and putting one big one up for him for tomorrow.

Now I'm chilling watching the soaps, so Until Next Time.

Okay guys so today's post is going to be a little bit different from normal instead of writing about what I've done for the day I am looking for some advice and opinions.

When magic moved from the old yard to the new yard he swapped from being on hay to haylage for the first few weeks he was staying in while all the others were out and was getting to feeds a day as well as two medium sized Haynets. Magic then started going out all day so I cut out his feed in the morning and decided that he didn't really need it as you could see he was starting to put lots of weight on. So for the last two weeks he has been getting one hard feed in the evening like all the yard owners horses get at the same time as her horses.  Then he's been getting haylage, but at the minute he's going through two and sometimes three Haynets in the night, and I don't know if this is normal, he doesn't look particularly over weight or anything like that.  When I first moved him we had assumed that it was because of the fact that he'd been on hay before that wasn't the world's best quality and now he had moved to haylage which was much richer, so the yard owners opinion was that he was hungry so he was just filling himself up, but he's still doing it. When I went a way for three days she said he put loads okf weight on because he was comfort eating sort of thing then his weight leveled out as he started to see me again.  But I'm not sure if this is normal. I don't know whether to get different Haynets that have even smaller holes, at the moment he only has small Haynets with medium sized holes. So in really am not sure what to be doing. I don't want him to be getting fat but not really sure whether it is that he is genuinely hungry or whether he's just eating for the sake of eating. Anyway guys I'll leave it with you and hope that someone can give me some advice.

Until next time

Today was a quieter day than I have had recently the first thing that I did when I finally woke up at around lunch time was go and sort magics stable out. I gave him a next big bed and jack filled his Haynet up again like normal. We have our own routine going and by the time that I have done magic's stable then jack has normally finished doing the Haynets. As the original plan for the day was to go and help Josh finish sorting his flat out I'd put Magics food in the stable next to him so that Lynn could just pop his food in this evening, as I tend to have a habit of falling asleep at joshs. It's due to a combination of the tablets that I am on and just the fact that I am not sleeping fully through the night and that I keep waking up then going to sleep again.

However that didn't end up happening so instead jack and I ended up chilling in matlock bath for the day. Ever since I was a kid I have always loved playing on the arcades so that is what I decided that I should do.  I played on the bingo machine and I was really excited, when I won £5 however I then decided to put it all back in the machine and ended up losing it now most people would be annoyed at doing this but to be honest I just had a great laugh doing it.

Then when we got in we had borrowed joshs remote control helicopter and OMG jack and I have never had so much fun it's like we are 6 honestly. We keep flying it around my room, then we decided to try and annoying my dad with it but at this point we hadn't really figured out how to control it, but I've now decided that the helicopter shall be my new messaging device. When jack is chilling on the playstation with his head set on and I want to get his attention I just fly it in front of him and hover it that's so much fun lol. Okay big kid moment over and done with and now I'm off to watch some t.v. and just chill out.

67. A chilled out day

Today has been a quiet normal day, I didn't really do a lot. I got woken up this morning and then went to see Jacks brother for a while. Once I had time to wake up properly I headed up to do Magic, I mucked his stable out, while Jack and Josh filled the haynets (bonus for me as I HATE filling haynets)! After we had done this we just chilled to be honest, I spent the majority of the day in and out of sleep, but when I was awake I started reading a new book that I had got. The new book is based all on Tarot, this is something that I am finding myself really interested in. I've always loved the look of that sort of thing but never really got in to it but in the end I thought that it was really interesting, now I know that a lot of people would find this sort of thing really weird but I find it really interesting.

This evening I went to see Magic and give him his food, I didn't do a lot with him because to be honest he just looked really sleepy, so I put him his food in gave him another hay net and left him to it. He was very calm and chilled out and it was lovely to see.

Now i'm at home chilling watching Judge Judy about to have my tea so for now I'll leave you guys to it.

Well this post is going to be two days in one, it might not be the worlds longest, as those of you who have me on facebook will know that I am having quite a few health problems. But I'm trying to just keep going so I'll start with day 65 (which I was half way through writing last night and then ended up deleting it like a complete and utter mong)! As you do.

4th March 2016

Yesterday was a quite day, I wasn't feeling very well and was really tired and I had to go to the dentist which in my mind is never really a good thing but it's one of those things that you have to do so I just get on and do it. I got up at about 11am as recently you'll know that I am not sleeping very well, so I end up sleeping in during the day and just get myself in to a really bad sleeping routine which isn't good for me at all. But the first thing that I did was go and clean out Magic's stable, by the time I had got to the yard it had started to snow and I really wasn't happy about it all. Snow and I as you all know do not go together and also magic didn't like it as it was quite windy, so that didn't go down very well at all! When I'd finished doing his stable I got his tea ready for that night and then I gave him a groom. He's been surprising me a lot recently by the fact that when he comes in from the stable he isn't completely and utterly ditched, so it's not that hard to get the mud off him. I then decided because the temperature was just dropping loads and the weather wasn't that nice to just pop him a nice light weight sheet on as he didn't feel particularly warm so I thought it was better to give him a bit of something.
Shaking because of that horrible white stuff that falls from the sky! Neither magic or I are a fan of it :(
After we'd finished here Jack and I went for our morning routine at the shop near Magic and got a YOP! Now i've always said to jack I don't like them (mainly because I thought they were only strawberry flavoured) but I have finally found a shop that sells them that does them in a raspberry flavour to so I have to take it back and admit that it is quite nice. We then went to visit Jack's uncle that we do not see very often, and have a catch up and a chat with him, and I ended up talking to his Aunty Beth for quite a while who was really nice and knows quite a bit about horses. She also started talking to me about Tarot cards and spirituality which is something that I have taken a great interest in to recently. By this point the snow was quite heavy and looked like it was going to settle but it didn't, so after this we went to the dentist and then just chilled for the afternoon. I always thought that dentists were supposed to make you feel better but my dentist just made me feel a whole lot worse, because of how deep the filling was that I needed to have (it was almost down to the root) she has warned me that my tooth will be more painful before it gets less painful.
The pony boy out in the field his head blocks the view of stan and Mur who were protecting him out in the background.

5th March 2016

Today has been an okay day. I didn't sleep very well last night and was waking up pretty much every 20 or so minutes, so I woke up with a really bad headache and ended up trying to give in on sleep at about 8.30 this morning. So I felt really groggy from the moment that I woke up, Jack then took me up to riding and dropped me off after we had been to the shop which I was fine with.  I then got on Gatsby and this is when I Started feeling worse, my tablets decided to kick in while I was starting to ride him so about 30 minutes in to riding I started to feel really poorly, I was getting dizzy starting to feel sick, and I could just feel waves of tiredness hitting me so even though we only rode for about 25/30 minutes I was just greatful to be back on Gatsby. In the riding that we did do we did bits of Walk work and trying to really get Gatsby in to an outline. He was dropping in to it really nicely so I was gutted that I didn't feel well enough to carry on. We worked mainly on a circle getting Gatsby to flex off my inside hand.

My mum put me in this stupid rug that I really do not like but she says it makes me 'warm' I think she just wants to make me look daft!
Magic is currently out in the field, Lynn took his rug off this morning (as he has never been out in the field with a rug on him), and put him out this morning. So when my mum gets back from doing her jobs I'm going to ask if we can either go up and do his bed before he comes in or just wait and do him all in one today. It does mean that for about 30 minutes he'll be standing in a messy stable but he doesn't really trash it at the minute, he just sought of rolls in it and spreads it out every where and then refuses to pooh in his bed so poohs right by the door. So i'm not sure which I will be doing but for now I feel like this post is getting really long so I'll leave you guys with some pictures. :)

Magic says he's the main attraction BUT in the background you can just see his protectors! He's such a cute little boy, I do love the pony even when he does forget his manners.
