Trips out for Lunch and Acrylic Nails

hey y'all.

Today has been a fairly uneventful day but its also been a really good day. I've been able to catch up on some sleep as well as having some just me time. I got woken up this morning by my phone ringing, at first I just wanted to roll over and not look at it but then I realised that it could be Jack so that soon kicked my ass in to gear to answer the phone. It's a good job I did as well because it was Jack that was ringing me. I miss him like mad so being able to talk to him was great and he says he's going to try and ring me tomorrow.

Then when I got off the phone with him I bought the post in to my mum, as only the day before  I had got something in the post from him at his mums address I wasn't expecting a letter in the post from him today so that was a pleasant surprise. I'm definitely going to have to keep a better look out on the post because I can imagine that I'm going to be hearing from him lots.

After this my mum went in to uni to drop off a application that I needed to hand in as well as get a form signed that my mum needed to send off. We then went to Pompadour, to buy some acrylic nail kits. So when I got in the first thing I did was attempt to do my own acrylic nails and it worked out better than I expected it to (pictures to follow later).

Before I went home though my mum treated me to lunch out at the Fox and Hounds pub which is literally two minutes down the road from my house. I hadn't been expecting it so it was a nice surprise and it managed to cheer me up. I had Haddock and chips and oh my god it was really nice. I really enjoyed it and I also enjoyed spending time with my mum. There's nothing to report on the horse front as I haven't been up to my stables since Saturday.

Tomorrows post won't include much writing and will be mainly pictures.

Until Next Time

  1. Yay pictures! Hehe.

I'm glad you're still able to talk to your boyfriend and that he can write to you. :) That will make things easier. I hope he's doing okay.

CON ARTIST - NICKI WILLIAMS - BEWARE

Okay so this post has taken me a while to post for several reasons but the main one being just how angry this woman has made me.  For those of you that have been following my blog for a long while you will know that back around October of 2016, I was introduced to a woman called Nicki Williams, she was a friend of a friend that was supposed to be opening a centre for rehoming and rescuing animals, but also for horses working with soldiers that has PTSD. We hit it off straight away and came what I thought to be good friends. However warning bells should have probably rang sooner. By January or February of last year the horses that I had agreed to look after (that she had got on loan) Bella and Arthur, she was being threatened that she would have them taken off her by the control of horses act, because she hadn't been paying the rent for the field. Although Nicki reassured me that she had done, she even showed my 'payments' that had been made to Angie. I ended up getti...

Magic's 2nd day in his new home

It has been a while since I have posted on here but I thought it was the perfect time to restart the blog. So to start with I'll give you all an update on what's been going on over the years since I've posted and then I will be back to regularly posting and keeping you all updated on the world of magic.  The first big change who I need to introduce is Jaxon, Jaxon is mine and Jack's 7 month old baby, he was born on the 7th July 2020. Part of this blog will be dedicated to overcoming the challenges of having a small child and owning a horse, even when everyone told me it was impossible to do. Jax has a best friend Bailey who is mums new 1 year old puppy and he has the best time trying to play with her.  Of course Magic is one of Jaxon's best friends.  Now for an update on Magic, he is doing really well, I can't remember if I ever told you, but he moved yards last year when I was pregnant with little man. Unfortunately this yard just didn't quite ...

Olympics - good bad or both?

In the Beijing Olympics in 2008 the horses used in the pentathlon were said to cause farcical scenes with fall after fall after fall. This was said to be the fault of the horses that were either hired or loaned to the competitors. It was not blamed to be rider error or a combination of both rider error and horse error, it was labelled as being the horses fault or this is what it said in ' Horse and Hound Magazine'. This horse was said to have been to spooky and sharp, but is it not a combination of rider's aids and rider error AS WELL as the horse being spooky. Can we really just blame it on the horse, when we are the ones that tell the horse what to do, by no means am i saying it was 'just the riders fault' couldn't it have been a combination of both?.    For the London 2012 Olympics it was said that a total of two years if no longer was spent attempting to find the right horse for the right competitor. They made sure that the horse was at the right l...
